This whole patreon funding is unethical in the chateau-verse. The money goes directly into increasing property values and not supporting artistic work.
This is the thing that bothers me. At least Anna tries to bring some sort of artistry to her designs, but most of the chateau-verse participants that I watch only create BnB appropriate rooms, basic bathrooms with -gasp- subway tiles and kitchens that are more suitable for a catering business than a chateau.... If they want to try really hard, they add a ghastly floral wallpaper, or a bed crown with an ugly curtain thingy...

Quite frankly, this video shows the only chateau I have ever seen to be renovated to perfection! Tasteful, bright, beautiful, uncluttered yet including some amazing pieces of art. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I had the money.

RE the bags of wool - did you hear Cat say
" from last.. " before SJ cut her off saying " years ago". I call BS. Hey Cara your precious wool in the attic has been thrown out.
From memory Cara lasted a week into a 3 week trip of a lifetime. Wonder how long the trademark specialist will last.

I do actually like Anne Marie. If as others have suggested he is there for the long haul project managing I think that it great. Things may get done. Which fund would he be paid from? And if between him and Natti the building is managed better in terms of cleanliness and fixes, that has to be a benefit.

And Nic is coming back. Interesting another owner is returning.
Did they actually bin the old wool? It would have been an excellent addition to the compost bins, around the base of fruit trees as mulch or buried in the garden beds.

Armoire and Fanny have big plans for improvements. All the good intentions and high hopes will crash land quickly when Philip and Fanny try to micromanage the work from South Africa. I don't think he'll last in that tit show for long or he becomes as passive as Sillymar.

Yes, noted - it was again a moment I wondered why they left that in the vlog - given they have all these mad hatter felters watching it go - bye bye to the tip! Probably Cara rummaged through all of it and found only one useable bag - throwing out the dusty rest? Either way very funny - thanks Cat and Nutti for some classic witch slaps!

After that embarrassing so-called clean-up, 16 years 😱 and they finally managed to open the door, I would have been mortified, but hey ho, it's all love and laughter 😡. Not.
The only way to get any kind of order out of that utter chaos is for Fanny to be far far away for at least 6 months, leaving those with any ability to get things done. Let Dan and Kirsty work on only the gardens. Let Ann Marie and Cat sort out the clutter and junk that is just everywhere. SS should just go, he's as useful as a chocolate teapot. Selmar and Tatiana should quietly disappear and chase their rainbow. Natti can finally do something productive, hopefully. And scary IJ should stay far away too.

It's funny how we have different reactions to something. I agree it's wonderful and would love to visit but would hate to own and live there. It's just too big and fancy to be comfortable.

It's only 800 sqm... My parents' apartment was 400 sqm before they got tired of it and downsized after all of us kids moved out. (in my home country, large apartments are quite common, especially back in the day when property was a lot cheaper)
I think with a few well trained staff members, it's quite manageable.

Yes, it is big and fancy but with enough money to hire good employees I could definitely live there. I'm generally not a "people person", at least not face-to-face but give me a gorgeous bedroom with a luxurious en suite and a little office nook and I could be a happy camper!!!

Has SJ done any sponsored videos? Does she just make too much on patreon that she doesn't have to? I can't even imagine how many emails she gets from people wanting to work with her.

Wow, they have also set up their patreon as a charity. Such a cluster**** to figure out what all of these youtubers are really doing with their money. They want bespoke pieces appropriate for a chateau. And nursery/hedges ordered from Belgium. A special gate, local blacksmith will make. And, of course, a special tree surgeon. Outbuildings are being looked at by an architect.

Of course their kitchen is business related and can't come our of their patreon money. So, they will probably start doing a lot of sponsored posts. Can't say that I blame them, but man oh man do all of these channels start sounding the same.
Mid to long term it makes sense to have professionals in, rather than wellmeaning but bumbling volunteers, re quality and potential resale value

I'm just curious. Do you have to be a "VIP" member in order for new Tattle Life suggestions to be considered?

@ Lolander The Fleuries' latest patreon vlog, if you're interested:
This is what I don't understand, they are doing exactly the same thing as MPK & SJ but some people have no problem with it but SJ & MPK are criticised for it. They (chateau owners) don't really like AD sponsorship because they want to beg for money, they don't like unboxing products to adverstise for companies but don't mind receiving expensive gifts from viewers. All the successful youtubers (who don't use patrons) have earned most of their money from AD sponsorships. They have bought & built their businesses & houses with no assistance from patrons, go fund me or buy a coffee. They don't need to make videos explaining how they would spend their money. This is the problem, SJ has been a bad influence on the chateau owners, her employees & some of her volunteers they all want to be like her earning 20,000 from patreon per month. SJ started her patreon early last year since then all the other chateau owners have done the same (advised by SJ). Most people don't like YTubers & influencers but they don't beg for money like SJ & her g a ng, they only beg for followers, likes & subscribers & use the numbers to advertise themselves to companies for business purposes.

I would like to thank the Academy, my mum, @MojoDublin, and all fellow tattlers especially the undercover ones, all who inspired me to come up with 1000+ posts
furthermore, I would like to thank the fallen tattlers, you fought for us and for the truth, you stay in our memory forever, you carved the way for many others who came after you to take the torch and shed the light on all the shady, toxic and sometimes illegal dealings of our dear Shitolaine and her entourage
Good for you for proposing 17 different titles and having the winning one hand picked out of the lot! Yay!
