Finally caught up-ish. I wasn't as offended by the tasting menu as much as others were, I have done something like that twice, and both times it was an exceptional meal that my husband and I still talk about. (Now mind you we saved up for it; we weren't paying for it on the backs of viewers.)

What DID offend me was Stef's implication that CLL is as fanciful and other worldly as the exhibit. It may be in her mind, but that is because she doesn't have to do any of the actual work to make it "function." (I had to put that in quotes, as we all know it is barely functioning.) She truly is in a dreamworld of her own, and Support Squirrel is a willing accomplice. I don't think he is stomping his foot demanding to go to the restaurant, I think it is more a case of him knowing about the museum and Stef "not wanting to waste time in the line with the hoi polloi" and him finding the restaurant work around to skip the line. (Which she could have just ordered the bun she was interested in, and not the tasting menu, or just SHOWN the bun and not mention the tasting menu.) Also it was odd to see SN being served a drink that was garnished with an orange slice and not saying anything about allergies. (No mention of allergies the entire meal! Most unlike him!) We all know that truth and timelines are often bent in the vlogs, it would have behooved her to show one or two dishes from the a la carte menu as opposed to sharing it was the full monty with wine pairings! That choice makes viewers in many cases feel "less than." It stops being aspirational at a certain point and just becomes a gross symbol of largesse with Philip once again benefiting.

As it is, she is alienating much of her American audience with her willful ignorance regarding recent weather events here, especially given the fact that NYC was directly impacted. As someone who is actively trying to assist evacuees from New Orleans/Southern Louisiana however I can as many of them evacuated to my city, her lack of acknowledgment leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The title of today's vlog is also tone-deaf. It all feels very "Let them eat cake". (I know Marie Antoinette never said that, but the sentiment still stands.)

"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." It seems she is galloping head first into a precipice, and I don't think Support Squirrel will be able to soften the blow.

Seems a bit odd to move the panelling into the room when a workshop was happening!

Philip's got pieces of lime in his drink although he's allergic to citrus. If he was really allergic, he wouldn't go anywhere near it! Then he eats creme brulee and admits he is allergic to it!!

He wouldn't be sticking flowers in her hair if he were just an employee!

He's like a child eating a sausage with pineapple jam!

Surely she should start by making a plan of the room and furniture before cutting out and arranging the objects. She always starts the wrong way round.

What a coincidence that the car was upgraded "by mistake". That;s the second "upgrade", the first was on the flight over - rubbish, she ordered the most expensive available! She lies about these things as she is embarrassed by spending all that money and knows there will be critics. As though a car rental firm would make that mistake!

That also happened when she went to Lake Garda- kept making a point she had booked the cheapest room and surprise surprise she got upgraded

The paparazzi jewelry...ugh, normally I really enjoy seeing the gifts but then the MLM crap shows up and I'm put off. I feel a bit guilty about it, mind you because it is a gift, but the super cheap jewelry carries so much baggage with it.

I went to bed last night on page 40 of the last thread and came back to catch up and get to here. I first got notification from YouTube about Selmar's Tatyana (SP?) vlog and watched it first. I was so happy to see that she was real and not a catfisher and also that she looked just like her pictures. I'm really happy for Selmar because he deserves to be happy. I know there are a few here that are not really fans of him but I like him. Good luck to you, Selmar and your ladylove!

I had a boss like her, always pretending a designer dress was "this old rag, it's falling apart it's so ancient," when it was current season. Always getting "surprise" upgrades. Look in any program to any theater in town and she was listed as a patron. Yet, she couldn't afford to pay health benefits to her employee. I hated that bitch.

I would have been furious if my OH had filmed me arriving after a night on a ferryboat (I'm usually seasick even on a big ferry like this one !) and posted the video in his vlog !!

Well... she didn't look too happy either And she looked exhausted.

Selmar has some progress to make in his basic skills with women !

Something I’ve noticed about Teabeg that always bothered me, even when I was a fan (before I came to my senses!), is that he’s very concerned about labels. He has to let you know it’s “the best,” many times followed by the price tag. I guess it’s his way to validate? Insecurity? The wealthiest people I’ve known never discuss money…and they certainly don’t go flashing labels and divulging prices to everyone. What impresses me is when someone can create something fantastic while making due with what they have. Sure, you can make bread using a nice $500 KitchenAid mixer and $20,000 AGA…but where’s the challenge in that? I’m more amazed by the folks who kneed dough by hand, or make delicious cakes using a hand mixer, baked in their everyday “appliance store” range.

Oh dear…hold my hat. First, no babbling here. Second, MPK isn’t French…and he took a 2 month “leave” from working on the chateau, gardeners cottage, and vlogs to pursue hedonistic pleasure. He never let his paying patrons or subscribers know what was going on…he just disappeared. Re-appears with a couple of vlogs about Madrid…then decides to confess his money issues and love woes to everyone under the sun while unabashedly asking for a handout. Tattlers weren’t disappointed…we’re disgusted with the actions of this man-boy who has talent and all the background to be a success, but can’t seem to make good decisions to save his life or get his act together. And taking people’s money in the process for god knows what. And it IS fraudulent to take money for an intended purpose but use it for something else. Like a two month extended stay in Madrid….and then another trip to party in Spain after claiming poverty.

Ok…off my soap box!
