So, it is all boring here then? I have not been for a while, but I had comments from Marquis and KyBourbon that I have changed side? What side is that then, am I now a patreon of Lalande, OR am I gay? :D :coffee: (y) Which ever it is, it must be more fun than this tread so far. My menopausal milf wife was watching CD alone the other day. I caught her when I returned from a run. I can't watch now, that bloody Marie is back, so annoying. However I have to disagreee with someone here who cracked a joke about Norwegians being annoing, that is like saying us Englishmen are all like Gordon Ramsey. I've been to Norway quite a few times, so I can honestly say Marie is a rare finding. Thankfully. Not only in her manner, but looks. I wouldn't have minded a bit of wife swap with my Norwegian friend and his lot, the women are on average quite stunning, tall and fit. OF course dear haters, gays, and jealous lonely witches, - it is the inner quality that counts...
and as you know Marie has struck me as a childish, self absorbed, whinging, entiteled and sulky young lady. She wants to be Stephanie, but she just is not. Mind you, Stephanie is pretty annoying too. Familiarity breeds contempt in her case, I used to find her charming and sexy, now I prefer MariA. She has wit, brains, and talent. But alas, I have stopped watching CD for now. Boring. Netflix is more interesting.
My wife commented that Stephanie had no clue about fashion and was stuck in the 80's. Well, I find that Ardmore stuff very tacky indeed, but I am not an expert on women's fashion. If it is hot, I notice. WEll I guess I must finish up this report from London with a shout out to our dear Mojo , Fishwoman, the cat lady, and Jeeves and the rest of our lovely haters. It is unbelievable that this forum has kept going for more than 3 years..oh the memories! When Stephanie broke the news we knew (well some of us) about her relationship with Phillip, when Selmar claimed Phillip shagged everyone in sight ( did that include the weird chickens?) When Stephanie's charity girl comitted suiside from the pressure of poverty, and lastly the male escorts "the boy" bought when he should have been reading Beatrix Potter books to grannies. Scandal! I will quickly be back when we get some more scandal folks, for now I will leave this dull tread and enjoy a lazy day outside... I can watch the trouble and strife gardening perhaps.🌹
My apologies for the Norwegian joke. I appreciate that I upset some, including you. It was however, just a joke - aimed at Marie (and mosquitoes) both of whom/which I find annoying. My ill formed joke was also aimed at my beloved husband who has a strong Norwegian heritage and who sometimes reads here. As loveable as he is, he can also be insufferably annoying (hi darling ❤). I'm sorry I posted the joke and apologise to everyone for the concern it engendered.

Very happy to see you haven't changed sides and you're still firmly... one of us. But I must ask, how do you know how Mmakhotso Moloi died? No-one here has posted this information before now. How did you find out?

I'm the same, worst bit is trying to get something from the very back of the big chest freezers in the supermarket, always that risk you might just fall in head first. Stuff on high shelves is always a problem as the Vendeen's are not known for being tall either.
No worries you little petite ladies. Whenever I am at the local market I am often asked by one to ‘please, dear, would you mind getting that something or other on that top shelf‘. I kindly oblige with a big smile, and ask if they need anything else. It’s all good, and no doubt, I will see another of you in the coming week. No charge, glad to help.🙂

I think Mmakhotso’s cause of death has been conjecture…but I’m really surprised that no one has been able to confirm what it was by now. Fanny says she knows. I’m sure she would have told others (I don’t think she can keep a secret for long). If it was an accident or illness, Fanny would probably have announced it to the world to garner sympathy (for herself, of course).

Some interesting stats on the new "Travels with my fiend" channel.
Firstly - only 14K subscribers.
And the latest Venice vlog from 2 days ago has to date attracted 11K views.
Compare this to Dan's 2 day old vlog - 141K views from his 170K subscribers.
Even with some of her loonies playing the vlogs on repeat, there is a clear message here.
Steph - viewers have had enough of your travels - get on with the job in hand - bloody RENOVATION.

The figures haven’t exactly been tsunamiesque since the above was posted yesterday.

The problem is that the Venice episode of what’s essentially a vanity project was deeply dull. In fact, it was boring (to the point that I didn’t watch the whole squealfest in its entirety). The previous week’s offering, with Ollie as the lead, was marginally better because clearly he had put thought and research iinto the content, and seemed to be genuinely interested in and enthused by the places shown. However, it would have been much more interesting and engaging without SJ’s contribution. Which was effectively zero, apart from the occasional orgasmic stroking of a pillar (not an euphemism) and gasps of wonder and infantile squeaks of excitement over bubbles in a park. Stephanie’s hidden Venetian gems, or places that apparently only someone who knows and loves Venice with a passion would have knowledge (I’m typing this buried in a truckload of salt), were laughable. It wasn’t just in the edit. The whole thing was all so badly thought out and put together. Honestly: a tap shop? Lampshades? Doughnuts on a skewer painting (kabobs, anyone?)? Skipping over a bridge? The Royal Suite (or room 206), a room/suite which no longer exists and, really and truly, wasn’t anything particularly special? It Etc, etc, et-bloody-cetera . Plus the ubiquitous shoehorning of her shitshow chateau into conversation at every whip and trip.

l’ve no problem at all with content gleaned over the last two years. In that respect, at least, they’ve been upfront(ish). Some things - places, architecture, buildings, history - are timeless. In fairness - gritted teeth - the timeline of “filming” for the new venture, is something they’ve said has take place over an extended period. Having said that, and using the Bauer hotel as an example, to just put a caption that, subsequent to their “exclusive” footage of what I thought was actually a seriously underwhelming segment, the hotel had closed for complete refurbishment was lazy and disingenuous. Never mind, though, SJ was able to snatch the bed head et al at auction and, lo, it will be bodged to fit a room at the Heap of Decrepitude…what luck, what joy.

I feel that Ollie views the channel as a goer but he continues to be in Stephanie’s thrall. His dotty professor/bumbling Brit abroad persona, coupled with him sometimes seeming to be an avuncular, indulgent uncle with a vacuous, vapid and wayward niece, can wear very thin but, for all that, I don find him as teeth-grindingly and blood-boilingly irritating, frustrating and exasperating as Stephanie.

The way in which the YT algorithm pixies work is a complete mystery. SJ can’t rely upon CD viewers watching the Steff & Ollie Show or, indeed, her Not Very Grand Tour. Equally, viewers who stumble upon the travel vlogs by chance and go in cold to watch S&O cavorting hither and thither may not make a beeline to either CD or MMM, thereby driving those numbers up. There were comments when Stephanie started using Sundays at the Chateau as a vehicle for vlogs of visits to other chateaux within the Chateau DIY sphere, each being vlog fodder sometimes over more than episode. People want Lalande. They want love, life and laughter. They want restoration. They want the (entirely manufactured) interplay of happy participants in the faux bonhomie of what we know is a pantomime. They want - no, they will - the renaissance of this historically insignificant crumbling heap of decrepitude. They even want brocanting.

They’ve 10 or 12 episodes in the can, I think? Release them, bury the ides and quietly retreat. Stephanie, nurture the following you’ve got, don’t jeopardise it by killing the golden goose before it’s ready for the oven. Ollie, poodle along with your mansion and make the most of Camilla - possibly your greatest asset.

In her Venice -‘Travels with my Friend with Benefits’, we saw her SHOP MORE whilst Oliver anemically squired her around trying to add historic tid bits here and there. I am soooooo OVER it!!!

Oh my god.....these people at la Lande have to understand that I have only so many brain cells left and must preserve what I've got for the rest of my time on this earth.

WTAF was that 2 minute vlog by Marie? I'll tell you what it was - a waste of my time, as well as hers.

It strikes me as interesting so many read the Clara/Trengilly situation so differently. Not here to fight, but as the famous New Yorker cartoon has it, I cannot rest because someone on the internet is wrong.
My read is someone has shut down the only eyewitness source we have, which benefits Fanny and no one else.
Clara’s sins, if any, and world view have been all here all clear for all to see. My take is crushing the tenderer buds of Tattle, if that is indeed what went down with Clara’s most recent remarks, is something you kind of sign up for here. And if an unwarranted snap by the aforesaid sole and much maligned and vilified source is going to make you sick, I gently suggest there are other playgrounds. Going off platform to out somebody to an already much-injured third party is a very bad idea.
Doing it — outing Clara and involving the damaged guardians — for the purposeof ghastly Philip Jansen’s sexual protection is a motive no one supports. The damage is very bad and the goal is even worse. Again, all to the benefit of Stephanie Jarvis and no one else.
The fallout, that this site should have lost its one eyewitness who testified, with receipts, to the starvation and sexual exploitation of volunteers; exploitation, sexual harassment, and lack of insurance, health care, French withholding fees and so on to employees; as well as chronic universal abuse and neglect of all the domestic animals (no food, a theme in Jarvis world) is again a result that benefits no one but Stephanie Jarvis. Again, while personally endangering the personal life and livelihoods of Clara and the gurardians.
The winner is Jarvis on all counts. And the persistence and malice of the poster speaks to the intent so to do.
I’m really amazed by people rolling around the ruins of this site saying it’s nothing.
It’s everything. Especially if little man did it for fun. Or nothing. It would be bad enough if it was done for Jarvis. But the strong stink coming off it is that it was done for fun.
That’s my read.
And in upcoming news, the return to the torture chamber of the mentally ill Marie Wiik.
Now, with no eyewitness source.

I was just saying to my husband that I think Pa from the ladies chateau might up sticks and go back to the US. They seemed to be concerned with family dynamics on the last vlog, and I’m sure he’s bored and now taking too close an interest in the running of the château. It’s not for everyone I’d be bored out of my mind out in the middle of nowhere
So agree with you. A very introverted man with devoted friends and employees (shown on vlog) who retired from his life’s work, retired, sold up his house, car, racing bikes for his very spoilt daughter. It’s his money that paid for the shat-0h! - Julia and her partner may wish to remember that - especially when taking idiotic advice from Philip. I think there have been a few ‘words’ between family members.

🏳️‍🌈🏳‍⚧️The summer is the season of Prides all over the world. This got me thinking of Lalande and F4F and their relationship with the LGBTQ people and matters. 🏳‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

In theory F4F is a classic f*ghag - you could imagine her clubbing shopping and spending time with her gaggle of gays back in the day. After all Ollie's sexuality seems rather fluid as he seems to have softer effeminate manners (not that it is a sign of anything).
- There is the case of the original gay couple who were driven out of the Lalande and F4F did duck all to stand up for them.
- Michael P was such a good friend but the demise of the relationship started as soon as he came out in his vlog. The visits became few and far between, money lending was made public during the Madrid rent boy era etc.
- Terry&Ash who so wanted to be her friends drove to her with gifts and were willing to take peacocks (where are they now btw?) and she barely made any time to meet them and I think a cup of tea was offered. I thought at the time it was because of their social class. But they have never been invited to easter or any other gatherings with other chateauverse folks
- Phiphi who is now marketed to us as straight/bi curious is not living his genuine life - he does what he has to in order to earn an income/survive - but frankly F4F is older and supposedly wiser she should know better. If she wanted a young lover there are straight ones too.
-The Austrian "princess" she inherited from Billy was sent packing - there was no room in the chateau or was he just lazy and too flamboyant.
- The fat gay guy and his latin bf seem like they come to her no matter if she wants it or not - their visits seem to be filler for the vlogs.
- Patsy&Stew and the Sappho chateau gang are tolerated but they seem to have money as they are not so patreon driven - are they not considered competitors/threats? And maybe they are not good in picking up on things/social cues?
- Who have I forgotten? Hanni was said to be straight?

To me F4F does not seem like an ally. She seems to sweep the LGBTQ community under the carpet. The worst of people are never the few who attack, but the thousands who look away and say nothing.
The photographer who took the nude photos. Never see her anymore either.

OMG the flower killer is back!
I just watched her 2:15 posting. Ha! It’s her cutting the ends off wild flowers or something that looks wild, with a dull scissor! She looks deranged in some way. She pours water from one bucket to another then the rest is looking at weeds and pea gravel while she’s walking outside. She doesn’t utter a sound. This was a bad decision. Dear me. 🥹

Cardigans have their uses. When going through the menopause you tend to wear layers and a cardigan is a brilliant top layer because when a hot flush occurs you need clothes you can rip off pretty quick. That is when you are at home of course. I wear short fitted ones over a strappy camisole top so not too granny ish.😂😂
Cardigans they wear at the dump are my great aunt's! Besides they wear cardigans over a dress or another longsleeved jumper, not over a lovely camisole, paired with palazo trousers/jeans.

I'm not a big fan of cardigans, they give all girls roman catholic school girl vibes from the 50's (Don't come at me) I have 'jackets' which are made from ticker materials than a cardigan, but are less stiff than a jacket. I don't know how they are called but they are my 'cardigans'.
But I approve the modern twist versions. They don't look like things my great aunt wears.

I think if we are going to participate in any social media forum or discussion group we definitely have to have some thick skin. I’m not sure why someone is going to out Clara, as you say, for fun but, unfortunately it’s happening everywhere there is internet service. I’ve seen my share of innocent people left in tears over someone sharing personal information about them that can’t be taken back once it’s out. IMHO Clara can handle her/himself pretty well. But, no one likes being attacked. It’s the nature of the beast. Some people can’t stand not knowing who someone with “intel” really is. I’m not a particular fan of Clara’s but, it was interesting to read their take on everything. Perhaps they will return when the dust settles under a different guise? Or someone else with contact with the shitoo may show up at the door. Sorry, this has troubled you. Tattle is not for the faint of heart. Take care.
