They’re not legal to plant in my part of the country as their shallow root systems turn them into deadly projectiles in tornados and hurricanes.
Sorry if this has been said already…. they are Pyrus chanticleer. A very common small tree in the uk. The fruit is inedible and hard as nails…. Ours in the streets has plenty of fruits .
What is a huge shame is that there are 100s of interesting trees that are not so municipal, but Davey as we think is a commercial planter . His plants are dull. That space even if not for productive trees could have been lovely.
I’m watching to see if Kirsty knows how to train the courtyard trees and the new trees in the 3 year pergola project.

Tats is back in the uk and will….start her own channel and the soulages couple it seems will also start their own channel.

Selmar is on the road again….without a girl , job or chateau?
Hello Selmar…..what is up?
It seemed like he had the perfect set-up. Stable accommodation with pretty much free run of the chateau, a lovely couple who were welcoming to their pets. How did things unravel so quickly??

I'm sure I see Supermarket cooked chicken, complete with stuffing - or is that just an NZ supermarket thing? (we get it on a Friday night instead of takeaways or whenever someone doesn't want to cook).
Ha!
I was thinking the same.
But from the take away chicken shop.

I imagine the nice couple from the chateau where Selmar was staying, woke up to the fact that he had very little to offer them. He was willing to help to some extent but it was obvious that the old man was doing most of the real work and all the heavy work. Selmar just watched a lot of it and did a few simple jobs. I think they wanted Selmar and Tatyana to look after the chateau during their periods back in Canada but I guess they realised that neither of them was really capable of taking care of the property. They may also have seen Selmar's ranting vlog and, while being sympathetic about the way Fanny & co treated them, they would realise that Selmar is neither discreet nor very capable. Now, he's back making the mind-numbingly boring vlogs and hoping strangers will fund his wandering life. Someone should also tell him that, if he displays a text on a screen, he does not need to read it out loud, thereby demonstrating that he does not understand it. I wonder if his mother is still alive; I think he would be better off going back home.
Selma’s best bet would be to return to making porn or starting an OF page.

If she wants to do counter tops on the cheap. I had concrete counters poured around the sink and prep area next to the stove. They are sealed with a food grade sealer and I love them. You can even get them different colors.
That's what Dan did in his kitchen. Not my preferred choice, but it worked and was economical.
But Fanny wouldn't like the look of concrete and would want to wallpaper over it. :ROFLMAO:

I’m actually a little surprised we haven’t learned more about Mmakhotso’s death by now. Stephanie said she knows how Mmakhotso passed away, but she said she wasn’t going to share that information “out of respect for the family.” That excuse is a joke…SJ hasn’t shied away from sharing personal information (remember Dan and Annalise’s breakup?) or making people squirm in her videos by putting them on the spot. So, I don’t think it has anything to do with “respect for the family.” I don’t want to offend anyone but, in my gut, I think it’s because Mmakhotso took her own life. That’s just my opinion…and I have absolutely no proof or information to back up that claim. It’s just a guess because Stephanie is typically shameless about using situations to her advantage…If Mmakhotso had died from an illness or accident, I think SJ would have milked it for her own personal gain. If Mmakhotso did succumb to the stress and anxiety of school, responsibilities, and financial concerns, I think SJ bears some responsibility because although she paid for the scholarship, she didn’t make sure Mmakhotso had the right support. This may not be a popular post and I’m sure others will disagree.
I'm pretty sure most here will agree with you. I have donated to a lot of causes and find it hard to think of myself as responsible for making sure the recipient was secure/fully supported/had everything they needed/kept track of them. But, I get it, we can agree to disagree.

Well I’m really disappointed in Julia and Carolina (The Lady of the Chateau) if they go to La Lande. I thought Julia had grown out of her simpering, sycophantic phase with Fanny - which was just soooooo embarrassing and is on the internet forever.
The father Richard is a bore fest, I could not watch

I have just realized why Fanny farts have been so depressed! Snorts put saw a ring on it! Probably one he stole from IJ's apartment....or the thrift store....or a bubble gum machine....or one that his GRANDFATHER gave his GRANDMOTHER.
Just so sweet.

As a family they are finding their feet as business owners. I think it is interesting the business visa they have - they have 3 years to show profitability. One year down already. Year 2 they are undertaking massive renovations. They discuss some of the reality of starting a business. I think the parents’ marriage is interesting - her being an artist, creative, appears vivacious. He an introverted, quiet, engineer/scientist. But Julia’s makes an arse of herself with her gushy approach to all things LaLande. They’ve lost me now they have publicised their returned. I thought they had better values.
Daddy of Chateau Sappho cycles a lot - I suspect in search of kabobs, whilst Mommy (with whom he probably has an “understanding“) is content to do art, cook and hang out with the lesbians and gymnast.

Can’t you just imagine the Gay Twank hitting on the old guy during the egg hunt in the middle of the woods? We know the Twank likes em old!

Happy Easter! A photo of the arrangement I made for Easter brunch. I’m not a professional, but I think it turned out nice!

The arrangement and table look beautiful, you are very talented.
I won’t show my table as it is empty. I forgot the shops shut on Easter Sunday. I was planning on food shopping today but found out I couldn’t. Off to find out if the marks and spencer garage has any food left.😂

It was reconstituted bamboo. In a wet area! And unsealed!!

Nicer areas of Guildford and it's surrounding villages. All of Farnham! Some parts of Woking and it's surrounding villages. And a lot of Haslemere and a lot of Godalming and it's surrounding villages. Dorking? Parts yes. The Holmwoods. Box hill. And there are some right posh bits in Redhill and Reigate.

What makes Surrey expensive? Simples. Commuter belt baby, commuter belt. Good road and rail links to London. Easy access to the south coast, ferry ports, chunnel. Good schools, generally. Good shopping. And farm shops. Everyone loves a farm shop. Which brings me back to...

Famous people I have met. Before me moved to France we lived within a 1 mile radius of - Roger Taylor, Damian Hill, Penelope Keith, the Bummley's - Virginia and Peter Bottomley Tory MP's (Health and Roads and Transport), Rick Wakeman (he of Yes and Knights of the Round Table - progressive rock), Terry Scott, Chris Evans (the ginger whinger dj), Ronald Pickering, Ricky Parfitt (rip). The list is endless, and that's just a mile from my old house. Always bumping into them in the farm shop in the village or the local town. All very unassuming and normal.
My daughter lived in Guildford for a few years just off the high street, so we spent lots of time there. Fond memories of G-town. 💞
