He's a jack of all vlog and Chateau trades. He, Stephanie and everyone are currently on the non B&B rota, so he cleans and cooks. Philip is Stephanie's boyfriend and does filming and editing with Stephanie, and travels with her. He is also helping Natti with the B&B admin, Stephanie said once. Philip helps with the store and does tours for all of the guests. He has learned a lot about the history of the Chateau from Stephanie and the old maps, and memorized details about furniture and decor of the Chateau. He surprised Stephanie with a bunch of fun facts she didn't know. He is quite knowledgeable about the china and cutlery of the Chateau, so does the table settings for guest nights. Also, Philip helps with the shopping for antique furniture and decor that Stephanie does, as she is upgrading the furniture/decor/rooms in the chateau. He has also done DIY with furniture and pillow coverings. He shares in all Stephanie's projects including doing the Christie's furniture and table setting shoot in NYC they did last year. Philip worked on the crown molding project for the Marquis's room (not fully seen by everyone yet) and sometimes his own Vlog. He sings musical theater, pop songs and plays the piano better than Stephanie. He performed in a professional musical in the Netherlands this year. He and Stephanie share the same interests so that is why they are a couple. Remember she was/is an Opera singer.

This reads like an obit. I wonder if Caroline will be writing the post mortem once Fanny has launched Phi Phi into the sun.

It's a pretty odd sponsorship for a YT channel based in France (the Fleuries also featured the same company). Forgetting what I think is the ludicrous idea of promoting "wines of the world" when you're actually in France, one of the strangest parts is that the company is US sales only: no international shipping! Not even across the border to Canada! So La Jarvis is purely directing what will no doubt be her enthusiastic recommendation towards her American audience.

Incidentally, no activity on the BC Twitter feed since January this year and, prior to that, more complaints and glitches than plaudits. Never mind, no skin off SJ's nose if she's getting some sponsorship dosh.

I doubt any French wine company would like to be associated with her. She's not a refined wine connoisseur, she's just an alcoholic. That's not good publicity.

Does anyone really think that room looks nice? I guess I don't like toile. All those different shades and patterns in one small room together is too much for any reasonable person. Maybe, that is why Danny looked so sickly while he was staying there. And, don't get me started on all the dirt and dust. I don't think anyone likes it, they either suck up to her so they can have a place to stay in France ooooor they told her, but SJ can't be reasoned with.

Blimey they could at least paint all the shutters all the same colour, they come off so don't even have to do it on a ladder. There is a serious amount of settlement occurring, nasty large cracks on the left and three big subsidence cracks up near the roof and those steps are going to completely collapse.

Thank you, I need the tough love on this which is why I asked for advice here.

I had a similar thing happen with friends of ours - not the same situation, but I found out a good friend's husband was cheating on her. I walked into a restaurant while taking a client to lunch, saw him with a female other than my friend......he didn't see me but I saw more than I cared to.

I struggled with what to do - I didn't dare ask other mutual friends, for fear I'd be spreading around something so hurtful (my husband's advice was to either go to her or stay silent and he was right) - imagining how I'd feel if others knew something like this and didn't tell me. My friend was someone who was very up front, very direct and was appreciative when others were the same. I waited a couple of weeks and couldn't stand it anymore - I had been avoiding her and couldn't even imagine going out to dinner with the two of them as we occasionally did. My thinking was "our relationship has already been strained by what I saw, so what more harm could be done?" I called her, met her for coffee one morning and was very shocked to find that she already knew about it! It wasn't the first time he was unfaithful to her, either! She stayed with him because he made major money - she made decent money, too, but a separation would definitely have changed her lifestyle.

I am almost ashamed to say this, but knowing she knew and stayed with him after several affairs changed me and how I felt about her. And it goes without saying that I felt her husband was a shit! We aren't close like we used to be, we don't go out with them any longer, but if we bump into them somewhere we're all very friendly and pretend we're going to "get together soon". The relationship we had has sort of drifted off and the pandemic only made that worse.

My advice is to take your own consideration here - protect yourself and your husband, which is why I liked @Le Baiseur's advice!

Frankly looking at the state of the place I reckon pretty much everything needs a Do Not Use label. The electrics probably are all shot, gawd knows about how the plumbing works, the whole place is a filthy & a health hazard. Only exception to this label would be Phi Phi. Because he needs a iNot Of Any Use' label put on him.

They claim they have been working on the twirl room for a WEEK!

In a week time I could clear out the room, remove wallpaper, sand down and wax the floor, paint the walls and window frames white, wash and iron all the soft fabrics, frame the twirl, upholster a stool, deep clean the room and put all the furniture back. I could do this on my own, without an extra pair of hands for help. Let alone 2 people!

Thinking back to when we used cheque books frequently I always signed my then husband’s signature. He knew and joked that if he ever signed one then it would get rejected. It helped that we are both left handed so our writing style sloped the same way.

I sign things for my husband all the time. I handle all the banking, bills, etc. Now with most things being handled online, I have his signature, that I also signed, stored in my iPhone’s photo editing mark up tool. (The same thing I make the cheesy tiles with.) Luckily for him, I use my powers for good.

when we renovated our house we got on very well with certain people almost instantly you are desperate for them to make your living circumstances better. I obviously paid them myself though. Our carpenter actually made my partner feel everything would be ok LOL two years in we are nearly done

Nothing wrong with being friends with people working on your house. My husband used to be a carpenter. He is friends with our GC, roofer, electrician, sprinkler guy... Just seems like a lot of a new guy in their lives on their new YouTube channel. Matt had more screen time than Oliver.

Yes the lovely clever Marie. Who despite working in high level position in the travel industry was happy to hob knob with people from all over Europe during the festive season in the time of Covid. Lovely Marie who allowed her son to be sent expensive gifts when her & her husband could afford to buy him more than enough stuff. Oh the Marie who sat on the sofa with Princess grabby fingers getting more, more and more stuff...not even having any sense of guilt when sitting in a chateau drinking & scoffing snacks whilst people have to use foodbanks? Yes. She's lovely.

Set against someone who clearly didn't have the best education, now struggling with being set up as a fake BFF by Fanny. Clearly down so low that the only way to get herself out of a hole is to run back to someone who has convinced her that she is needed & missed. Hindsight making her remember the days when she was being flattered & told she was pretty & her florals were beautiful. Taken here there & everywhere by Fanny, shopping, holidays etc. Maybe for a brief golden time that was her best life. Hey I've been conned back by a narc & I ain't no dumbo. They're good at conning people.

Still see FRK in a different light - from wined & dined at Lelande & happy at the attention, she then went to Suffolk to SJ's cousin where she showed getting installed & painting her room (similar to the Haworhset-up) & working in a hotel, going back & forth to France for parties etc. Her own family was near but seemed alien to her Finding next connection at Lelande with Nikki & family who welcomed her & helped to set up her studio & flat in the Haworth community where she was welcomed & not exploited. How long did that last? 2 months & she was off whingeing in Oslo after they paid for her Xmas air ticket home. Still restless in Spring she took advantage of Nikki's French cottage, but various strained ankles set her back & after chateaux walkabouts with Nikki she went back to Norway.
As I see it in Aussie speak she had a Fair Go to start over multiple times without being anyone's unpaid volunteer. She is just a stubborn girl who will not acknowledge she's not got a talent or background for filming/editing or even floristry. And I'm sorry to even say it. It's not enough to go round with a camera focused on random flowers or plastic coffee cups, crying for sympathy.

I'm not defending people here till eternity but that Caroline Gooder identity has been taken over by stupid Philip with his list of accomplishments & an attempt at humour when he says that he's better at piano playing than SJ. Even on the spectrum & watching twice that was OTT by him not her.
What's happened to the urbane Ollie I found entertaining in the CD's of yore & called Thomas's bluff when he was maniacally blogging for his own fragile ego as a volunteer? He is now like a ventriloquist 's dummy for Camilla with a popping blazer button, apologizing for their lack of techie knowhow. Who's left standing ? Amaury..for how long??

This! I have no problem with Patreon at all. However If you claim to make video's to help renovate your shittoo. Just do it.

I'm also convinced that the fleuries are stretching the kitchen renovation as much as they can. after the kitchen renovations they want to start on the longhouses. which isn't a cheap undertaking. They have 1323 patreons, something tells me they urn far more than Miss Jarvis from patreon. Same goes for them, make more video's on youtube instead of stretching a renovation as much as you can.

I just checked booking they charge 330 euro for a double room. the average price of a room in their village is 100 euro!
That's 158,500 euro for 4 months! no swimming pool, no welcome basket nothing. Just breakfast! Surely they can afford to do a swimming pool first!

and while I'm ranting, They can also organize events on their grounds. I'm sure the mayor would happily grant them the permits and the local hotels, B&B's and the locals would be forever grateful and even go as far as to volunteer with preparations for the event.
