What food is donated to whom? The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. When I used to watch it was candy, cookies and treats! I guess it’s eatable but, not really food that you would donate. Good grief. It went straight in the bin after they took bites out of it for the grab vlogs. And, some of the other “gifts”, you all know they made fun of and sent them to the bin too. Unless it was some family heirloom they thought might be a collectors item, they TRASHED IT ALL. And still they believe.

She unbuttons close to 50% of the buttons on her blouses to reveal more than 50% of her breasts to log viewers or lifts more than 50% of her breasts until they touch her chin in various dresses, etc.

Sadly I did watch it.
Its very close to me as we adopted and I can say that orphanage was a lovely clean place from what I saw ..... so many are not.

The truth is Don Jarvis, Stephanie Jarvis of the Chateau Diaries, Cadeaux at the Chateau, and part owner of Chateau Lalande will not let GAG go because it's her charitable face, it provides some legitimacy to her Patreon misuse. GAG is low input, high return for our partial owner. I suggested she make more videos for her charitable concerns but she will of course not do this, because SJ will need to devote more time to producing content that, ultimately, she is not interested in. This is evidenced via her lack of attention shown to the GAG live chats; handing the editing to inferior Phyllis; her 7 minute video of the orphanage in comparison to a 30min video of a SA ceramic workshop; and the lack of transparency for each charity and what the donation actually contributes towards and its desired results.

That is a great idea. She could make videos highlighting particular charities that she has found that are legitimate and well administered and then read out the names of those viewers who are verified contributors - that way they all get their little moment in the sun.

It’s a tricky situation as people generously send us gifts and this is our way of trying to pass on the kindness we receive. Regardless of that, I don’t think we’d ever be able to raise €24,000+ a year to send to charity any other way. Also, food we cannot eat we give to people in need.

@Philip Janssen They send gifts Phillip because you open them in the vlog. The more elaborate and expensive the gifts the more of a reaction they get and it just goes on and on. When I saw a fan asking for people to contribute towards purchasing an expensive set of china because she couldn’t afford it on her own, that is when I saw just out of hand this was. None of you need these gifts and yet you encourage people to keep sending them. The postage costs alone would benefit a charity. This is the only Chateau channel that does this. If other owners receive gifts, they send a personal thank you note off camera. This has become a circus of excess. If you can’t think of any other way to give to charity other than accepting hundreds of gifts each month, then there is something very wrong with all of you.

@Catherine H People were sending gifts long before this channel was started - it is the reason why the channel was started, and this way we make sure the kindness gets passed on to charities. A personal thank you note would not raise money for charity. Steph has never asked and will never ask people to send gifts. When Steph heard about the woman trying to raise money for a silver service, she messaged her, thanked her for her kind idea and said it was too much.

Don't be jealous of people who can afford gifts, because giving makes them happy. And don't be jealous of those who receive gifts, because they bring out joy to thousands of people online. The gifts may not completely stop, but they would drastically decrease in number.and excess. Just a quick diversion…it’s now March, 2022 and we’re almost a quarter of the way through the year (time flies!). So far, Michael Petherick has released a total of 2 videos since his January “Fresh Start” vlog. And one of those videos featured Chris the volunteer, which was mostly filmed in 2021. He can’t be bothered to respond to any comments on the three videos he’s released this year. Keep in mind…MPK has said that YouTube is his primary job. And yet, even now, he has 394 Patreons donating money for…what? Looks like the “Fresh Start” has turned into another muddled disaster.

Now, back to regular programming!

I would suspect mental health and emotional issues are not easy to go through. Yep, he's unreliable, but we know he's not well. He's been spiraling down for a while, but hopefully he finds his balance and path forward. I'm not defending his behavior, I'm glad I'm not a Patreon supporter, I just hope...and I would hope for any of you struggling...that he comes out of this healthier.
