It wasn't Dana's coat, it was the one worn by Vivienne's sister. Dana looks different from usual in that pic! She is always all over the men.

...my positive note...as I am such a positive soul...

...you know...the Venetians...are mocking these brits...and especially...Stephanie Jarvis...of that dump...Chateau Lalande...they will smile in your face and rip you off just as easily...

...Italians are nobody’s fool. this is a farce to them...but they need the tourism $...so they play along...and charge you as much as they can get away with...so...good on them...I hope Stephanie Jarvis pays out her azz...

...probably explains why the Italian boyfriend...fillipo...didn’t join the fools...too embarrassed...he knows how they think...and how they win...

...oh...and the condescending and sanctimonious bubbles...not invited huh...too bad...maybe next time...

And what happened with Michael Bergantino’s health crisis? Not entirely sure That beg session wasn’t cashed in by Stephanie Jarvis from Chateau Diaries at LaLande- there have been some very pricey trips that could easily have been bankrolled by this GRIFT.

I actually think Dali is the most over reproduced artists within the art world- basically postcard grade stuff

Isabelle's brother's page on Copains d'Avant (sort of French Facebook for school mates), it is mentioned that he went to high school (Lycée) in Madagascar in around 1956 (from memory).

I've never heard of a poor Colonial Army officer living in the colonies at that time (servants, privileges, etc etc). Maybe not ultra rich but not poor (and certainly living a privileged life).

I also remember her saying that her grandmother, Isabelles mother, grew up in the colonies. Was it Cambodia?

Curtis said that Fillipo (and he) would be in Verona for a month and no doubt F could not go to Venice because of the opera. However, I am sure you are right that he has got the measure of Stephanie Jarvis and the Lalande crew. I expect he would like Curtis to distance himself from them. I imagined SJ and PJ were going to the opera before Venice but it seems they would be going afterwards. Verona is an interesting city so I wonder if Ollie and maybe Dan will also be there.

I find it highly amusing that FRK didn’t flit off to Venice. You know the conversation went something like…..

Oh Marie we’d love for you to come! It’ll be $800 for your part of the palazzo and you’ll need a costume, and then you just cover your plane ticket! Oh and some spending money. It’s going to be so much fun! Wheeeeeeeee!

I don’t have the money for any of that, unfortunately, sniffle, sob,………

silence……
