Improving on skills is never a bad idea. He might think of having longer video's in the future? He might think of becoming an editor. He tries new angles and new idea's. He is improving and extending his knowledge base. I see nothing wrong with that.

I can only hope you are right there, as I don't wish anything like that on Dan or any of the other sycophants. As for her two former guardians, yes, wine is always involved when it comes to stories around her HMN. I sincerely hope Dan is shooting the diy of her pantry as content for his own vlog, to please his viewers. I suspect however, as this is always the case when SJ is involved, he is also (and maybe even mostly) doing it to please SJ. She has not asked him to start the work on the pantry and it's not that there's nothing else for Dan to do, there are even chores that certainly have a higher priority, like finishing that pergola. If, as I suspect, he's doing all this extra work to surprise SJ with and with it to solidify his position in her entourage, he has lost the perspective you talk about. As for the guys being alcoholics, I doubt that. Must have been a joke. I agree, no recovering alcoholic would drink wine or talk about it like that. If Frank actually considers himself an alcoholic, I'd say that's another unwanted gift from their time spend taking care of her HMN.

Nobody is forcing him to work for her though. The garden work he does for her (mostly digger related stuff and mowing the lawn) is quite common in the area and a lot of people need help with it. He thinks working for SJ is bringing him easy money, but lately he seems to realize more there's nothing easy about it.
Something like this would look better sitting at the entrances or 4 corners of the fountain rather than the trees.
It does not matter what talent Teabag has, and he has many to be fair, its not in his make-up to work at anything or sustain anything, and I cant see (pretending to have) ADHD and taking Ritalin will improve that situation either. Also, just because you think that someone would be better at it than Dan does that mean he shouldnt do it? thats a strange concept! He is trying, he is taking a course to improve his content because he does have some skills in that area and wants to learn more, and its a way of having another skill set he can use to support his family, whether thats full time or part time or whatever!

I suppose he wants to get better at it but I'm not sure how much better he can get or more he can do with his limited surroundings and content...which actually provide good enough content for many and he's pretty natural at it from the start. Learning new techniques and editing skills is never a bad idea. Maybe it's for his self-esteem and ego to add something else to his toolbelt of talents? The studio has to be ego driven because you're right, 5 minute vlogs do not warrant a studio. I think having a space for himself also has alot behind it. With no workshop, he doesn't have a place to "escape" to.
Well now with a workshop in the works, it looks like he's going to have two places to escape to. Annalise better have her laundry room soon or whatever she wants next!
Professional filming guy? Definetely not, that would be an insult for professionals who has spent years studying the subject. however as he follow courses he will learn to view things from different perspectives to better himself and he could become an editor for youtubers. Or he can be hired to do drone shots of areas for whatever reason

Although they have money, It's going to be quite tough for them I think, we yet have to know what they're really going to do with the chateau but:
1) Who on earth buys a home, let alone a massive Château without visiting it first?
2) who buys a château in a country they do not know the language of? And create a business there????
3) Who buys a château in a country they don't even know the customs and way of living, it's not because you've been once in France that you know how to live there. They just look like Emily in Paris.
4) And purchase a chateau without even having a VISA???? WTF??!!!
If this woman wants the same attention that she had in California, she needs to start French lessons YESTERDAY, especially in rural France, we don't really go after strangers in France if you're not going to make any effort!
Recently watched a documentary on ARTE ("La vie de château.") where a Canadian family wanted to buy a château in France, without speaking the language (again), and they did not want a place with to many work to do, like plumbing!!
I think they only wanted to live like Marie-Antoinette, without the bad ending!Owning an old house is hard work and loads of money, and SJ definitely made it look so easy and dreamy, people are completely delusional and all want to live the same life as she does. She definitely had money prior to buying the château, and even she said she didn't realise how much it would cost! And now France is once more invaded by the Brits!

Will he make a mis-step? We shall see. . . .there have been exceptional passive/aggressive instances captured (apron from the Egyptologist. . .) and many others. He's a very artistic cinematographer, as some of his earlier and unappreciated videos revealed. In my unprofessional opinion, he's really good at it and the vlog a day practice is nearly Zen like discipline for a professional resumé. SJ also had a Patreon video, I believe, a while back, which showed him directing her with serious authority in a vid he was doing for her. She was in fact under his thumb during the direction -- as we know via Potts and Camel Toe, being photographed by her provincial party boy squeeze is, perhaps, her number one requirement. I think Dan, who is neither provincial nor a party boy nor her squeeze, is on to her. And, Annalise will whip his ass if he isn't.

He probably does need a shower after working in the dust he's making in the pantry !
Dan does not own the mower nor the digger. He would have to rent it off from Don Jarvis/brico. I doubt that SJ would lent her digger out the goodness of her heart to help Dan to increase his income. Also the area isn't densely populated and the jobs of digging and mowing might not give him the same sustainibility as working with SJ. However if there are more jobs for him to do in the area, I would highly recommened he would do it to become less dependent on SJ. In a just in case scenario which is highly possible.
