I work in film and tv and have for the past 24 years. As I said, professional film editors work in nice dark rooms, with multiple monitors where they sit with the Director and Show Runner . My coworker's partner is an editor and my ex roommate from UNI is an editor.
I have noticed that Phillip has a nice office but the the windows are not conducive to a proper editor studio as light is a hindrance. Perhaps he has room darkening curtins? I have not paid attention since they finished the room.
All of us here can agree that Dan is trying to better himself and learn new skills ( although how open is he is to be seen, as previously in this thread he has proven that he can't even be bothered to put on proper respiratory mask while spray painting in his enclosed studio ) .
He defiantly needs to find more lucrative revenue streams than working as a "gardener" a few days a week at LaLaLande, raising 2 kids is not cheap. Annalise can only do so much until both the boys are in school full days, but a home salon could be a good thing for her depending on the rules in France.
It would be nice to see that when Dan finishes his studio, that he then goes back into the house and finish up the work there too as it's not easy to raise two curious little boys in a construction site ( as we have seen with the flooded studio ), anything left unfinished is too tempting to little hands to investigate. I am hopeful of this but after seeing the trash heap in an outbuilding as bad as at Lalande, I am not holding my breath. His new studio/mancave might also equally be a fun place to get away from his family as it is and editing room.

No, Larkin and his family will never stay that long at the shittoo. I doubt there will be slaves/volunteers when Sj is not there. They usually jump ship when she does because nobody else likes to spend time with them.

Because he's a professional. The rest of them are only there to please SJ and make easy money, like she does herself. She says she supports beauty, but has no clue on quality.
It might look that way from the outside, looking in (and back), but I guarantee you things are quite different at her HMN. The level of stress has risen to almost unbearable heights and it's not because of the money (because she's still making more) but because our little group of 15 has grown to a much larger unsatisfied audience of non-or-no-longer believers and she's having a lot of trouble keeping the game of smoke and mirrors going. She knows the end is nearing and there's no back up plan.

I'm betting SJ paid him for the content early on in the Advent series? The trip to London by both at the same time was too coincidental (even under the guise of picking up a volunteer).
I hope travel will be put aside for most of the world these days until this new variant passes. My daughter went to New Orleans for business purposes a week before the holiday and tested positive a day later. She is young (30s) and fully vaxed but it left her flat out for days.
There's a reason my Christmas wish involved the saying "let's keep our eyes on the prize". Even though there's a huge overlap, with all the spinoffs, our main focus here should be SJ and holding her accountable for the lives she's ruining (Dan's included) with her hedonistic me-centered love-bombing narc stuff. It's been proven that her flying monkeys love to come here and derail our threads attacking Dan because they know a lot of us have a soft spot for him and will respond accordingly. I usually stay out of those discussions, not just because of the obvious intentions to derail, but to be honest I could not care less about Dan. In my playbook he's a loser for not exposing his employer by standing up to her each and every time she's playing her tricks. Over the years, I have seen many like him come and go and they usually end up exactly how he's looking now: tired to the extend of exhaustion, lost in her narrative of being part of the family of love and laughter, while his heart is screaming: get the hell out!

All those trips, and not one of them to visit her mother. It's very telling how she treats her mother now, especially with the so-called close relationship they shared in the early vlogs.

Irl she's not looking to buy, at least not just yet. She will rent luxurious apartments for the company at hand at the moment and she can afford to with the money she's getting each month. She will then just play the game of make believe, as if she's living there. Another perk of renting: she doesn't have to clean. She never does anyway.
None of them do. But they are all informed of the real purpose of her lovely liaison with the King of Snorts: entertainment.
I'm sure all of the reasons you mention played a role too, but she got kicked out of the workaway program mainly because of complaints she was sleeping with multiple volunteers and was basically using the program as her private dating app.

sorry I’m a bit late to the party on this one, I think Dan is looking at the bigger picture regarding the studio, yes he will need blinds for those French doors because most IT suites are in semi darkness, but if he has to do a bit of childcare whilst editing the boys will have a bit of space in there for a short period of time, but mainly I think he could turn this into a gite if necessary, there is a room next door which he could turn into a kitchen and shower room, it’s just a thought. He loves new challenges, so well done him for joining film school, there’s only so far self teaching can take you.
