Thank you to Kotare and Frankie G for the title, for those like @Clara Burnett , @Jikki2 @KiKiGee who dig deep to seek out the truth, Tattlers like @Gibson2 who bring their wit, charm and logic to our threads and stalwarts like @ComtesseRose , @Espe , @Le Comte de Monte Cristo, @Marquis de Potpourri and his fiancé, @sandro37 , @Definitely Maybe @Heathcliffe and many others who have joined us since thread 1. Even those who arrived with the sole intention of causing disruption (You know who you are! ) have only succeeded in strengthening our resolve. It's strange to have developed bonds with so many people who we have never actually met!

I guess it's inescapable to thank SJ for being so dishonest it kept us raging for more than a year now and more 100000 posts. It's crazy and scary to realize just how much she has gotten away with so far. I for one hope there will be a happy ending (for us) soon, but if not, promise to try and keep us walking the line. So thank you, SJ, Snorty, IJ, MPK, FRK, Nutty, Armoir, Dan but more importantly, Thank you @Jeeves for organizing and thank all of us for the fab work we're doing!

I'd love for someone to start a topic on Stephanie and The Chateau Diaries (don't know if I can as a newbie)! Used to binge the vlogs but lately just feel like it's becoming weird with all the gifting and money-grabbing compared to the free labour from the volunteers.

I watched some older eps of Escape to the Chateau DIY and always felt that Angel has a lot of envy issues - she tries to hide it, but it's clear the show needs to always remind us that their chateau is the "OG" and superior to the others

I think most of us are here as fans, just not super wally hyper fans. The vlogs have brought me great pleasure and I really hope the special magic doesn't get tarnished. For me this site is just a bit of extra fun, and I read some valid criticism but definitely no hate.

Really agree with everything y’all saying. SJ said editing takes about 8 hours per video ... she must be under such a stain to keep churning it all out, to get it uploaded, then to gather everyone around for the dreaded Pass-the-Parcel (eye roll), even good natured Selmar (a gentle soul!) looks so uncomfortable at having to vocalise appreciation for yet another dog-chew, & I’m sure Marie prefers to be chopping up cheese rather than sitting next to Hani for an hour.
Someone (maybe the gorgeous-not-put-a-foot-wrong-so-far Nati) should advise Stephanie to set some boundaries - and start to produce quality (as earlier) not quantity. Her old videos were so charming ... and there was something genuine & unforced about her friendship with Michael . I felt a little sorry for him back then. ... he always looked rather gauche & uncomfortable - a bit of an outsider amongst SJ’s other more glamorous, worldly extrovert friends. He showed such a sensitive side to his character with his composing & piano playing - and art ... he’s a very good illustrator. - but I have never been able to watch a whole episode of DIO. I can see that he & Stephanie were enchanted with each other - just as friends. I notice there’s not been any more mention of her chateau road trip channel with MP ... her new art/food/travel channel with the divine Oliver seems to have taken its place maybe? Those two are fabulous together - they could be the new Kirstie & Phil (location location location) though I’m not sure his beautiful wife Camilla would like that ! But for heavens sake, how much more can Stephanie possibly take on ? How she sustains that energy level & positivity is incredible.
Let’s face it, Stephanie is a one-off. A golden girl. She is still the Queen of Chateau blogging imo, Those hangers on - no matter how pleasant, wouldn’t have got anywhere without the connection to her. They obviously benefit from her but I fear ultimately, her association with them, if continual, may dilute her own vlogs. She is her own magic & a supporting cast of volunteers, Isobel, old friends, builders/restorers is more entertaining than some new kids on the block tripping over themselves to vlog at Lalande. No matter how ‘chirpy’ and ‘cheeky’ they are.

Btw stephanie should get a commission from Zara every time she wears that yellow floral dress . I’ve never been into floral clothing but she looks so lovely in it I found myself trawling through EBay looking for one ... now that IS crazy. Thankfully there were none online - I’d never have done it justice

Spot on. Her level of intellect, or better, as you put it, her lack of depth of knowledge and understanding, is what gives her away in all situations that really matter (the non-party-world) and that could earn her some points if she would just dare to try. The fear of being exposed for who she truly is however drives her constantly, even though she has managed to learn some tricks to deflect. Because of these diversions (charm, sex appeal, promising but empty chitchat) it might not be very noticeable during a superficial first meeting and by robbing Wikipedia she manages to fool a lot of her viewers into thinking she's a real know-it-all instead of the opposite. Very frustrating.

Hi all! I’m not new, I just am always a thread or two behind and spend my time catching up not commenting! I found Tattle after Michaels crying vlog like many of you. In fact, I was ecstatic to learn there were fellow viewers out there starting to have doubts about MPK and the HMN. Specifically, it was the appearance of Hanni in CD vlogs that made me want to speak to someone - anyone - who could explain why Stephony was letting this obsessive “fan” now into her home and, IMO, ruin her daily vlogs with her manic behavior. I won’t get into whether she has a condition or not as I know it has been covered thoroughly. But, that was how I saw it at the time and I just wanted to know if others agreed, and when I would read the live chats and comments I couldn’t understand how no one else was concerned about, well, a number of things. Then, michaels vlog. I immediately found this site and read through every single thread. it took me over a week. @Clara Burnett‘s personal insights were absolute gold!
Before I get accused of being an insider from the farmhouse as I know is the initiation around here, I happen to live very close to Jason “Did You See Me I Was The One With The Flowers” Dubey. I actually hope we cross paths one day! The Sungazer Mason also vacationed here over the summer and I keenly kept my eyes open hoping to catch a view of him in person, but sadly never saw him.
I enjoy all of your posts and I thank you for keeping me entertained!

I was just thinking back over our 100 threads and wondered if anyone had favourite moments?
Mine was being accused by Rose Coloured Glasses and and an influx of his flying monkeys, of being Brenda Gibbon, our Donegal Mammy. We later discovered that Rose Colored Glasses was in fact Ryan McFadden who was a former admin of FB group “A Tale of Two Châteaux”, now “Châteaux Chronicles,” and Brenda's Arch enemy. (I think he went on to become a Moderator for Teabag and the Pathetics.) He suggested that Sillyman was being bribed to spy for Brenda.
For a while I used BG's picture as my avatar. Anyway, the story went on until Brenda arrived on Tattle. Ah, those were the days!

I had a moment to reflect on when I joined Tattle Life - thread 3! Such wit and insight I found. I look back at how far SJ has come since I first posted. Since I joined Tattle Life (post patreon membership), she has no heating, no lake, no chapel restored, no shutterdogs, no downstairs loo....the list goes on. SJ has achieved so much since I joined in thread 3. Literally 99 steps backwards. It really is extraordinary how so little has been achieved by so many volunteers and hangers on given so much money given by patreons.
With 2022 I look forward to MoBG arriving at La La (Mother of Bubble Girl). BJJ has commenced inviting his reinforcements to join him at La La. Strap in SJ you are in for a bumpy ride in 2022!

This simple answer I can give you: very stupid. And every day she's affirmed in that belief by her granny fans, willing to trust her to the moon and back. Not until she got some rebuttal from us here was she worried about the level of information out there, and to be honest we are still hardly making a difference. Just watched the DIY Xmas Special on YT and that was shocking. I'm surprised the TV production company permitted that to be filmed.

After watching the DIY Xmas show on YT, I'm convinced SJ & the shitoo are filmed purely for comic effect! Especially when you compare to the lovely decorations and renovations completed so capably and with such aplomb by so many of the other Chateau owners. The other couple included for comic effect are Belinda and Lee at Chateau Mareuil.

SJ, for the love of God, time to give up wallpapering! You & Gerry are shit at it. Personally, I love a bit of wallpaper, but SJ, you don't need any more damn wallpaper! The decor throughout the shitoo is so disjointed and no room compliments or has any connection with the next.

SJ, no matter how much money you throw at it, you lack taste, and the shitoo will always look like a cheap Brocante and tacky Emaus threw up! Also, please get rid of that friggin head with the stupid hat & pink feather which sits on the mantlepiece in the Winter Salon!

What utter shite, thanks to Google, these food buckets have been distributed for years by multiple charities throughout South Africa. How stupid and ill-informed does Fanny think people are?

I have a hunch there’s a story behind Chris the volunteer, too. That whole situation was odd. I get the sense MPK becomes possessive pretty quickly when it comes to guys. He may have screened volunteers and saw Chris as a potential boyfriend…kind of creepy.

Even just from his attempts to supply some Christmas content (hardly can call that vlogs) I can see he's not in a very healthy place right now. i have said it before: he can be quiet violent when driven by alcohol and/or drugs (as I have experienced myself at least once) or when he's having one of his manic episodes. He really doesn't have to be the bad guy we all have recognized in him, but he is lost in so many ways: mental health, family stuff, no real love in his life, pushed aside by his bff SJ, several addiction related problems, nothing meaningful to do, nothing to get out of bed for.

A century! And what an epic thread title to mark "100 not out" (sorry, non cricket fans, for using what might seem an odd expression!).

I'm one of the Tattle Class of October 2020 - an old timer, just not yet even a Chatty one! It's been quite an adventure watching the frantic antics of chateausphere's diva, her grandiose delusions, her affectations, her extreme numbskullery, her profligate spending on idiocies and fripperies, her Machiavellian manipulation of everyone in her orbit and her aptitude for saying a lot while meaning nothing. All the while building a monstrous empire based on a tissue of pretence held together by gossamer strands of mistruths.

Stephanie is becoming a modern Nero, fiddling (take that any way you wish) while Rome - or, in this case, a uninhabitable farmhouse - burns. Not yet a raging inferno but, given enough fuel, it will blaze. Truth will out and she will find there's a day of reckoning.

What she and her cohorts have failed to realise is that "the hate site" is rather more than just idle gossip and snarky putdowns, viciously shredding her just for fun. Sure, there's an element of that and some hugely entertaining, witty, pithy popping the balloons of her make believe, but there's an enormous amount of highly articulate analysis.

Squadrons of flying monkeys swoop in and attempt to derail, disturb and detract when the comments and conclusions drawn here have struck a nerve. Which I reckon should be taken as a compliment!

Listen up Stephanie - you can pretend you don't care what we say, but we know you really do!!! Example in point:, Tartlets recently mentioned that you send cadeaux gifts to yourself (which you do) and voila, in the Christmas cadeaux you highlight the post-markings of every box.

Stephanie, we know you are listening, so please hear this:

1. The overwhelming volume of gifts you received on the Christmas Cadeau was grosteque!!! It's not enough to keep the food you like (ex: panatonne, floral arrangement of chocolates, giant chocolate bars to use in the Santa sacks' and 'regift' the stuff you don't like to some local charity/brocante/emaus.

2. Make you own donations to local charities!

3. Make a New Year's Resolution for 2022 and tell people to STOP sending you stuff! If that's too hard for you to do, start small. Think of it as a 12 step 'No Gift Grab Program' NGGP/AA program. Take it one month at a time and tell your granny gangster pensioners to:

Step 1 - stop sending seeds for the garden! You can afford your own damn seeds!
Steo 2 - no more biscuits , crisps or candy
Step 3 - NO more chocolate
Step 4 - no more knitted items - start with socks and then no more ugly knitted sweaters
Step 5 - no more Christmas baubles for the kitchen garland or Christmas tat in general (ex: no Xmas stockings)
Step 6 - no more Christmas baubles for the Christmas trees (especially no more peacock themed baubles)
Step 7 - refuse any & all Peacock related items
Step 8 - NO MORE STUFFED ANIMALS (not a single, friggin woodland creature)
Step 9 - no more porceline (ex: no trinket boxes)
Step 10 - no more table settings (this includes no more silverware or place-settings)
Step 11 - no more liquour (we know that's a difficult one for you Stephanie)
Step 12 - NO MORE SPODE

Stephanie, follow these 12 easy steps and by the end of 2022 you will be free of your narcassictic, gift grabbing addiction.
