Why is Brooklyn laying so much claim to the Jewish faith all of a sudden?
I thought it passed down the mothers side?
Im an atheist and have no issue with Judaism but the way they are describing having “Jewish elements” in the wedding, it feels as though they are doing it to be “cool”.
I understand Nicola is Jewish (again through her father’s side?) and her dad apparently is orthodox - although the Orthodox Jews I know would not, (and didn’t) have married outside of their faith, so surely then you would have an actual Jewish ceremony?
Not just the bits you think are cool and interesting.
Either honour your religion or don’t. Don’t just use it as an excuse to have an Instagram worthy ceremony.
I think it is disrespectful and absolutely against the religious sanctity of the wedding ceremony.
Or maybe I’m just a grumpy witch.
