Anna is the one blogger I have followed from the beginning and I still love her content. I actually find it interesting and she seems sweet.

I loved her birthday vlog. Her husband seems lovely. I find the clothes and make up stuff so boring and repetitive though.

I like her, she seems really nice. I also think her style is not that bad. It is really simple and versatile. Maybe not as flattering and interesting, but she has fun with her capsule wardrobe and encourages people to stop buying so much crap.

She is more bearable than her friend, don’t mind her too much. Problem is, she still continues to buy so much crap but on a much expensive price point and pretend to sustainable. The amount of clothing she bought per season as part of her capsule wardrobe is more than what I bought per year.

She consistently plugs a capsule wardrobe or 10 x 10 but she misses the original point slightly

That’s the only thing that annoys me about Anna. I actually find her helpful, but the fact that every couple of months she talks about her new capsule wardrobe and what she’s bought for it, she sort of misses the point that a capsule wardrobe is meant to last throughout all seasons...

You're totally right. I have a lot less clothes than her, but I don't label it "capsule wardrobe". It's just a regular wardrobe of a normal person :D
I can't really compare "influencer" lifestyle to mine. However, she is a little more down to earth than the others.

I first started watching Anna in about 2010/11 when she still lived at her parents house. I loved her long hair, her makeup tutorials, hauls and outfit style (which almost always featured those Topshop Ash ankle boots and MAC makeup). I really enjoyed her videos when her and Mark moved to the flat in London, and her content and the effort she put in to her channel/blog ('brand') was really good imo and I used to religiously watch her vlogs.

However, halfway through this I think she became massively out of touch with reality and her audience - as for this era of British youtubers (Anna, Lily Pebbles, that Amelia one, Tanya Burr etc.) who started channels in 2009/10 massively began to take off in about 2012/2013. They were receiving more lucrative brand partnerships and earning a lot of money. This is when the style of Anna's videos changed e.g. hauls almost always featured clothes from Whistles, her 'everyday makeup' was high end e.g. Armani and it really started to turn me off because she was not relatable anymore; I mean I knew I'd never be casually buying all my clothes from Whistles.

Since then it's just progressed more and more. Obviously nowadays the platform of Instagram has changed so much to allow people to forge a 'career' through this and most stuff is gifted or heavily discounted, but Anna in particular is so out of touch with everything now. It's also funny because she hardly wears Whistles now, it's all luxury gifted Ganni, Loewe and other obscure unknown (but highly expensive) instagram fashion brands. But that's also the same as every other youtuber/instagrammer.

I still like her, I don't engage with her channel or feed anymore, but I like the 'cleanliness' of her aesthetic if that makes sense? She has a bit of a Swedish style vibe. I also think her and Mark are adorable and they look like the truly adore eachother. I do however, wish she'd stop getting her hair cut above her shoulders (it really doesn't suit her face and bone structure which is quite squarish) and would sort her eyebrows out as it's too much and they're overpowering. I truly think she wouldn't care about that comment because it's her life and it's what she likes and I admire that to an extent, but how can you be in this 'fashion/beauty' world, mixing with top-end brands, designers etc. and no one has offered a bit of advice (particularly on the hairstyle - sorry but I just can't get over it!) Maybe she's going for a particular look so that she's more acknowledgeable (is that a word?) e.g. 'oh, I know who you mean, that one with the big eyebrows'. She had this whole 'English Rose' look a few years ago and now it's just a bit yikes.

She had such beautiful, beautiful long hair.... I see old vlogs and pics and can’t believe how lovely it was. Sigh.

I also loved her channel when she first started (ViviannaDoesMakeUp), her videos featured things like River Island Chelsea boots, H&M Blazers, Essie nail polish - I actually used to buy her recommendations quite often!

And then her taste seemed to turn more high end, she quit her job to be a full time youtuber and I stopped watching after a while

I still like Anna's personality, but agree she seems out of touch these days. She's become quite pretentious imo and doesn't seem as natural and honest as she used to be.
Many of her beauty and clothing recommendations are out of reach for her audience and she does waaay too many ad/gifted posts and stories.

Spotted her neighbour receiving this milk and so decided to sign up bu suddenly it’s gifted to you? Erm I call bull! Especially when beggar pebbles was already signed up for the freebie.
Yes noticed that, very dodgy when clearly promoting same thing as Pebbles.

Yeah the bull captions on posts are so cringe. You are being paid to promote milk. End of.

Same! So she's talking bull OR she genuinely did she her neighbours getting this milk and begged the company for it to be gifted - which is worse in my opinion! I guess this is one she didn't proof-read.

Someone has commented on her post completely hitting the nail on the head and called Anna out trying to act twee like being paid to advertise products isn't how she makes money. I couldn't agree more with them.

Honestly the way Instagram is so saturated with these 'influencers' nowadays, they really need to start being charged!

That is the whole narrative of all these bloggers, pretending to be sustainable and jump on the bandwagon of buying (then swipe up) water bottles, straws, milk, basically green washing everything. If you are really sustainable, you won’t be shopping for new clothes every month. I rather they don’t care instead of pretending to care!

Pretending that Arket is an ethical brand when they are not, just because it sells basic pieces

She must think people are stupid her 'work wife' is shilling the same product. Own goal Anna, all they want is the ££££££ and freebies.
