Sorry I’m late to this thread but I couldn’t resist a comment.
I like Anna and what she (almost) stands for, the capsule wardrobe thing, buying less, less hauls and more thought behind the purchases. I do think these are really good messages that fit with the problems we are facing in society, but they are totally lost in translation when she’s promoting £200 jeans and those ‘timeless’ designer bags that will set you back thousands. Even the makeup is extortionate, I don’t know about you but just a quick whiz around boots will make my eyes water at the checkout. Even if you identify with a more green view on fashion and lifestyle it’s still a luxury lifestyle that for most it unobtainable and frankly depressing.
It leaves me thinking who is her ideal viewer? Who can afford this lifestyle? She’s definitely lost touch but I don’t understand how she and similar bloggers mentioned in the thread maintain their following and all the opportunities with brands?! Will this bubble burst because i’m not sure it will?
