Wow, groundbreaking fashion tips - jeans, shirts, boots and a bag 😂 All from ridiculously overpriced brands 🙄 #relatable
£2k puzzle bag is a “must have” item. Seriously, what planet are these influencers on and whyyyy do people keep clicking on their links to feed this shallow and lazy lifestyle??

Anna has worn those trousers and items like that plenty of times, people are triggering themselves reading different things in it now. This is just how she has posted outfits over the years, in various sizes.

what I’m curious about is when she’ll share what’s wrong with her leg, that she always has to stand on one leg. I wish she were more open about that ;)

I think that we all had the same thought when we saw her photo 😂 Not Anna looks great (she does) but damn Lilly will be furious!😂
All this time she’s been prepping Anna, telling her things nobody told her. Meanwhile, these things are not happening to Anna.

Her skin looks so splotchy, like she has fallen in a puddle face first and didn't bother to have a fucking wash.
Also, pink lipstick + orange face = 2000 Clown
£2000 clown 😂😂😂😂 this is thread title worthy, surely!

also, I fucking HATE the way she writes. Hate it. Everything sounds so stupid and try hard, and there’s never high value content. It’s just “me me me affiliate link Mark trendy buzz word I sound nerdy using Mark affiliate link affiliate link me me me affiliate link Mark foreign word I can’t even pronounce Mark affiliate link me me me.”

Just like that, because she doesn’t use punctuation properly, therefore 99% of her written content is run-on sentences. Arrrrrrgh🤮

I’ve been out of it for some time but curious about the lies. Any examples please?
Let's see...There was a newsletter where Anna spoke about her dream of having a house with a big garden 'one day.' She spoke of this as a somewhat unattainable dream...in the same week that they completed on their house - with a big garden.

There was a lot of deception surrounding her pregnancy such as saying she was on her period in a video (someone worked out she was actually pregnant when she said this). There was also that time when she bought a couple of pairs of £200 jeans four sizes bigger so that people wouldn't figure out she was pregnant as she was still fitting into her 'regular' jeans. I don't blame her for trying to keep her pregnancy under wraps - but seems to get a kick out of trying to deceive her audience. She gets a real kick out of lying and thinking that she's *giggle* clever.

I'm sure there's more too - if anyone wants to add.

You don’t need me to give you the ‘new parent I have no time‘ spiel, but seriously people aren’t lying when they say that. These babies will only entertain themselves for an approximately two minute window in which I can now somehow load washing, make a morning smoothie and brush my teeth in. It’s miraculous what you can do without procrastination, it really is. So my beauty routine has been whittled down like never before and although there were a few weeks where if I even managed to cleanse my face it was a small miracle, I’ve now settled into a mini slimmed-down morning routine that makes me feel and look awake even when I’ve been up since 4am. TA-DAH! So today I thought I’d share my super speedy beauty edit from head to toe that makes me feel like an actual human again…

THE SHOWER
Before the little lad arrived I remember reading a blog post by Caroline where she mentioned the ‘Pyjama and Shower‘ rule. If you’re due to have a baby anytime soon I highly recommend a read and DAMN SHE IS SO RIGHT. You really, really need a shower everyday – even if you do just get into fresh pyjamas afterwards. It sounds completely obvious but when you’re really in the thick of it sometimes even just thinking about the energy it takes to stand up in the shower is enough to knacker you out, but have the shower – I always felt all the better for it. These days I keep my shower, body and hair routine extremely simple. Firstly a douche with the Kiehl’s Made For All Body Wash*, then I’ve discovered that the Beauty Pie Detox Shampoo* is just as good as other clarifying formulas I use and like half the price so I give my hair a rinse with that every other day. Then once I’m out the shower I rub the Susanne Kaufmann Stretch Mark Oil* on my belly (yes I’m still on that train!), throw on some deodorant, dry my hair if I’ve washed it and we’re done. Once a week I try and do a layer of the Tax-Luxe The Gradual* all over just because it makes me feel good and a Sunday bath always goes down well and I’m very happy to have the Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts* back in my life.
Actually I’m missing out a huge part of my beauty routine here – HAND CREAM! Oh my word when there is a newborn baby around you are washing your hands ALL. THE. TIME and I don’t think my hands have ever been so dry. Mark and I both love the Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve* (ad – gifted), but he has the Kiehl’s Richly Hydrating Scented Hand Cream in Grapefruit* (ad – gifted) in his bedside drawer and I badger him to let me use it before bed every night because it smells so ridiculously good.

THE SKINCARE
Whereas my shower routine has been pretty standard, my skincare is a little all over the place so I’ll share a sort of ‘in the middle‘ routine; sometimes I do more and other times just use one or two products for the AM or PM. For both morning and night I try my hardest to cleanse and I’m still loving the Kiehl’s Centella Sensitive Facial Cleanser*, then I follow that with some kind of spray like the Dr Jart Ceramidin Spray Mist* (ad – gifted), and then an eye cream because DAMN my eyes are taking a battering right now and I’m currently using the Beauty Pie Triple Hyaluronic Acid Lifting Eye Serum* (ad – gifted). If it’s the morning then I sometimes follow this with some kind of Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid serums, then a moisturiser or oil and finish it off with the Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin Feather Light SPF 50* or if it’s the evening I go straight in with the Allies of Skin Promise Keeper Blemish Facial* and call it a day. But really the bare bones are a cleanse, spray and SPF in the morning and a cleanse and the Allies of Skinproduct in the evening.

THE MAKEUP
I might not wear makeup everyday, but sometimes I just fancy a bit of a face, you know? And whenever I do get a chance to throw some slap on it just makes me feel good. I use just a handful of products, use one or two brushes and can apply it basically with my eyes closed. First up MAC Face + Body in C2*, squirted onto a flat-top kabuki and applied it all over. It just gives a light coverage and a bit of glow when I need it most. Concealer-wise I’ve had to step it up a bit so now dab on the Dior Forever Skin Correct Creamy Concealer in 2N*. This is actually great just on it’s own when I can’t be arsed to apply a foundation underneath. Next I do some bronzer – I’m currently using the Marc Jacobs Bronzer in Tan-Tastic* (ad – gifted) – and I just use a big powder brush to dust that all over. Then I use the Patrick Ta Major Brow Lamination Gel* which is just absolutely incredible, put a bit of bronzer over my eyelids with a small fluffy brush, apply some Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Wet Waterproof Mascara*, then whatever lip balm I have hanging around (actually the Hermes Rosy Lip Enhancer in 30 is proper lush, if not ludicrously priced!), and I’m ready. Finito and ready to sing Old McDonald for the 188th time that day.

I’m sure this has been spoken about at length. But what was the point in her announcing her ‘come back’ for her to then go on and post an ad once a week?

take a proper maternity leave or don’t. This pretending to work while posting an ad once a week if offensive.

Her baby is very cute and I was actually surprised she featured him so much in her video. Was expecting a photo or a very short clip at the most. I agree with her stance on keeping her son off socials. Don’t mind that she doesn’t share his face on such a huge platform, especially as he’s so young. I don’t like that she’s already attaching affiliate links to his clothes etc. She should be all in with not exposing her child to social media imo.

I’m actually really annoyed with how she ended the video.

Saying you’re “back” to your job as a lifestyle content creator and sharing home based content that pays enough for you and your husband to not have full time “traditional” employment, but then also saying you’re going to essentially hide the biggest and most demanding aspect of your life doesn’t make sense to me. How can she work promoting a lifestyle but not address the topics of parenting and motherhood on her channels? I would’ve expected her to have maybe 1 video a month talking abit about products/techniques or something related to childcare, just to stay relevant and relatable. I don’t have children so I would probably skip them but it would still be interesting to follow her journey.

To me, completely ignoring a massive chunk of her life and pretending it doesn’t exist at all online, is not an example of an authentic content creator. She has, in essence turned herself into a lifestyle brand (ie: writing an organizational self-help book, promoting organizing hacks, sharing style tips, make up/skincare routines and recipes) but now she will shy away from sharing anything to do with parenthood or childcare?
I’ve lost the little faith and respect I had in her content as this just screams more interest in making money than actually creating honest, relatable connections with your audience.

The only thing I respect about Anna was she will avoid featuring her baby in the future. Anna never mentioned her baby's birthday nor his full name (she doesn't mention if he has a middle name) which is a smart thing to do to try to avoid having his identity being stolen. Identity theft is more rampant than ppl think hence why you shouldn't overshare even on IG regardless if your account is private or not as it's still under the Facebook corp umbrella.

Anna is also trying to avoid what happened to Lily by not featuring baby/mummy content. Lily's content that does well nowadays is her baby stuff only (not even her reno's are doing the numbers it used to) hence why her vlogs do the best (and she hates and resents that fact - she said this on her podcast). Anna absolutely does not want the beauty/fashion sponsorships to dry up - she's a brand snob and can't go back to Whistles now that she's in Net-A-Porter income range.

Anna said she'd mention her favourite baby stuff in her next video and I'm sure she'll make reference of her body and mention her baby in passing but I thought by now ppl know that all influencers are a lifestyle brand. All of them curate their life that makes it looks most appealing (the biz savy ones understand ppl look at their content for escapism). Influencers and the culture around it are a byproduct of crony capitalism.
I actually would not be surprised if Ralph isn’t even the first name on his birth certificate and is in fact his middle name or a nickname. She seems private and secretive (only think I respect her for) a lot of these muppet influencers divulge every detail on their child I’m surprised they manage to resist reciting their national insurance number 🤣

Maybe I’m strange, but I’ve had two razors in my life, both Venus. (Please don’t come at me for the blades. I tried a safety razor and cut myself so unbelievably deeply with it.) I’m almost 35 for context, and I started shaving around 13? I got the second one because I lost my first one while traveling.

What’s with all of the changing the razor simply for the color nonsense?
