Anyone know how you can stop the side ads from popping in on every page of Tattle? I have to close them constantly and keep misclicking and ending up on the advertisers site.

Abreviated version

A delivery driver nearly drove into me this morning. I had to stop to prevent it. I was in the right but he started berating me really badly and filming me. The business he delivered to had to make him move his vehicle so I could move mine. I am so embarrased about the whole situation.

Do I complain to his company or write a negative review? Or just leave it alone.
I don’t think a business would really care anout their drivers behaviour imo they might pretend but then do nothing.
Is writing a negative review overkill.
I actually just want some justice for my ego 😂 Can’t tell you guys how embarrassed I am by it. I work on this estate and it caused quite the commotion 🤦🏼‍♀️
I'd complain tbh, if he did it to you while you were in the right then who else has he done it too, an company's should really be kept aware of what their drivers are like since its just a bad imagine on their part

If you had had young kids in the car how would you have felt? Would it have left you feeling the same as this? Or instantly complaining?

A taxi almost hit us a while ago, he come through a give way without even looking an almost took the side of the car, I immediately reported him an the company were grateful as they said they didn't want the company name seen in a bad way

Is it the model herself you are trying to find?
No I'm looking to find the original dress as all I can seem to find are copies of it. I thought someone on here might recognise the model/blogger and I would be able to find the brand via her Instagram. Either that or if anyone knew where the original dress is from.

Thanks💗

If you need heating OR hot water repairs your landlord/HA has 24hrs to get that sorted for you.
I'm with a Housing Association and had to wait 2 weeks to get my hot water tank repaired. Wasn't classed as an emergency because I had an electric shower.
Hopefully @Melian gets theirs sorted out quicker.

I stupidly burnt myself on kettle steam at work whilst reaching over for tea bags. My hand was only there for a second but has left a scalding red mark. I ran it under cold water just after but didn't seem to do much, still stinging. What's the best thing for it?
Pop to the chemist tomorrow and ask for some burn gel it's fab stuff!

I’m looking to paint my tv unit but not sure about the best way to do this. It’s a fairly cheap piece of furniture, I think it’s MDF (think Ikea style). Does anyone know what type of paint is best? Would I need to prime first? It’s currently an off-white colour and I’d be looking to paint it quite a dark charcoal. Would a roller be best or a brush? Or even scrap the idea of painting and try vinyl wrap?

It doesn’t need to be perfect, just experimenting to see if I’d like a darker style unit. Can’t afford a new one atm so going with this option first.

How absolutely lovely! I'm so pleased it's gone so well for you. I've just introduced a kitten to my two cats and it's been a bit dicey. After an ok start one of the older ones spent several days growling at both the kitten and us and making odd clicking noises. We couldn't get near him. It was a bit like he had some sort of feline breakdown.

Things are much better now though and they have even started cuddling up together! Our other cat just sits and glares from the other side of the room.

There's a share your cat thread (if you're not already aware of it). We'd love to see some kitten photos 🙂🐈.
I think because she was a bit grief stricken she’s liking it. I mean, she’s getting a bit annoyed with her. Like when I put food down she came bouncing around for it and the kitten was already there and she just waited behind her.

I’m going to find that thread now

I’ve got an interview in a couple of weeks for a job I really want, which if I get offered I am fairly certain I would take. It’s a training post with a high intake (like an apprenticeship) and would start in the new year. A couple of weeks ago I found out I was pregnant. I know that as soon as I’m employed I’m covered by their maternity leave policy (I’ve looked it up in advance) but ethically I’m not sure what the best way to approach it is, especially as my OH is talking about the possibility of me being a stay at home mum for a few years. Anyone else had this issue?
you have to do what’s best for you really. The most important thing to consider in your situation is whether YOU want to be a stay at home mum for a few years. If you don’t then take the job and reap the benefits of it!

Has anyone ever took action in stopping junk mail? I have a sign on my door but it's clearly not working, am tired of the endless junk an charity bags being posted, it just takes room up in the bins an they are only emptied once a month, I know for some that it's no problem just to dump it in bins but am literally getting up to 10 junk mail items per day every day here, its beyond a joke now
Put a Beware of the dog sign on your gate lol.

Not a problem but a question. How can Google know what you've saw/spoke/heard when you aren't carrying your phone on you?
My phone has been relaying these things to me the last few years and I still don't know how.

I have a shampoo related problem. I’ve been using ouai shampoo for around 5 months, in the beginning it made a huge difference to my hair but lately it just doesn’t lather and I’m having to shampoo twice. Sometimes after I’ve washed my hair has these patches where it’s like my hair is soaked in oil, even when my hair wasn’t that greasy before.
I washed with head and shoulders and had a lovely lather so maybe the problem is with my ouai shampoo 🙁
I completely soak my hair, I massage the scalp, I properly rinse which is everything google tell me I should be doing. Oh I only use a heat protection spray on my hair and wash every other day so I don’t think my hair is overly dirty.
I think maybe you've just got a build up from the shampoo, I'm sure it is reccomended to change every so often. Boots also do a 'build up removal' shampoo. Maybe worth a try, https://www.boots.com/boots-expert-build-up-removal-shampoo-200ml-10247057

@shadowcat5 Thank you - You're very lucky you're able to do your hair at home, it's definitely a safer bet and you know what works for you :) I think in this case the toner won't cut it (they tried twice) because I want to get rid of the black, but now I have black with yellow and mint strands all over.

@OnlyHereForTheLolz Thank you - Yep, I have the mint / yellow streaks at the back. I actually took pictures of what my hair used to look like before and I asked them to pull up my references and they said they didn't find them. 100% my do before never classified as a "balayage" (or they had been severely undercharging me for years which I doubt).

I have been going to this salon for 6 years (except for when the pandemic happened) and I've always had amazing results. I once had a mishap 6 years ago with them and the then hairdresser was so nice despite the situation. We even laughed about it and it got sorted the following week. This one just had a poor attitude throughout the process. This is not how you behave with a customer.

I think what would turn me off from this salon is the hairdresser's attitude (reluctance to listen to what I wanted, did some random work without even assessing whether it would blend together, blamed me for the mishap and then did not offer a kind word / apologized / offered to rectify and completely ignored me on my way out). You're right though, I will ask for another stylist (a more senior one) and if they suggest she does works on it again, it's a big no-no.

I understand hair grows back. In my case my hair was super damaged before and it took me ages to grow it back for it to be in a pristine condition like this. She damaged my "virgin" hair (i.e. not tinted at all anymore) and now I'm going to have to rectify it so God knows the damage it will entail. It was a blank canvas and she messed it all up - that's what pains me the most. Hair grows back, but it's still painful when you've put efforts into restoring your natural state of hair and someone ruins it unnecessarily.

Not to mention - I'm usually pretty invisible in crowds, but I swear today people were starring at me right left and centre. It was uncomfortable. I look like a Halloween costume lol.

They cam test for h-pylori via blood so don't worry it may not involve a stool sample. Worth getting checked though as it can be easily treated.

Other than that I'd second the Omeprozole. I had awful regurgitation (for want of a better word. It wasn't diagnosed as anything specific) for a while a few years ago and was prescribed it for a while. Pretty much solved the problem and I no longer need to take it regularly now.

I don't think they charge because it's the common travel area we usually just draw out from the cashpoints ( depending on what they're offering for sterling )
Yeah with it being a common travel area that's why I wondered

I went to the opticians yesterday and at the grand old age of 64, it's been decided I need glasses. Boo

Apparently, if you are on income-based ESA You can get a voucher towards the cost .. How do you know if you are on income-based? I've looked through my paperwork and can't find anything other than ESA . although I know I am on the income-based one, only because I was on the wrong one for years and didn't know and they finally switched me to the income-based one

What do I need to do to get this voucher? or is that something the opticians sort out?

Edited to say found something that says I am on income-related ESA,, So that's ok. but what do I do now?
They work the same as a prescription. You tick the box and they make the claim

So I use a lot of spices an herbs for cooking with but recently my spices have gone solid inside the little tubs they are kept in, am I not storing them correctly? I just keep them in a cupboard, It's a bit annoying to have to put a knife in an twist it to break up the little granules so I can use it again
