Does anyone know if you can remove the “for sale” sign from your home when it’s sold subject to contract? I see a lot of houses have theirs changed to “sold stc”. But a house near me has removed the sign completely, but it’s showing as sold stc online. Is this down to the hone owner, or do the estate agents have rules about how long you have to keep a sign up for?
Tbh it's really up to you an what the new owners want, first house we sold we took it down before the put sold on it because new owners didn't care for it, second time the new owners wanted the sold sign in the garden as it was first home for them an they wanted a pic holding keys outside it, some company's do prefer to keep it up with its sold on it cause its a good look for them if others see that but really so long as you know its definitely sold then you can do whatever with the sign, some houses round here don't even bother with a sign in the first place now since they know people are going see it online anyway

Thanks everyone for the pup advice, we are on day 4 of having her here and she has fit in so well.

She just hates being left alone, I found out from the previous owner that she didn't have separation anxiety there but she did have another dog for company so that's probably a big change for her bless her 😔

When we are all in the kitchen having our meals she will just whine and bark because she can't see us.
We are a very long way off leaving her in the house alone and that makes me worried and a bit regretful because it's a limit on our freedom, however we all love her so much already and are willing to put the effort in to getting her fully settled.

Will leaving her to whine it out while we eat make her separation anxiety worse?
I considered doing shifts so someone is always with her but would that enable her and make the problem harder to train out?

I overthink so forgive me for all the questions. It's probably not as deep as I think it is. I'm just quite overwhelmed despite knowing what we were getting ourselves into 🤦‍♀️
I've heard if you enable it then it becomes harder to break the habit for them, I know it will be hard but maybe just letting her whine it out will be better in the long run, just make sure there's plenty toys an comforts for her

Have you tried those boredom busters, the ones where you can put peanut butter inside? Maybe having those to keep her busy will take her mind off you not being there, you can get dog peanut butter from most pet shops now

Thank you. I think I find it hard to choose my battles because as soon as I entered my 20s I’ve come across a lot of people trying to test me and gauge how I would act. A lot of the times I ignore them because I’m quite chilled and I’m also don’t like problems but they seem to think because I appear nice and kind they can walk all over me. The hardest is when I do voice my opinions on something I feel so scared on the inside and sometimes my voice comes across as quite shaky which I find embarrassing
Oh god I used to get that! You feel like it gives you away and almost undermines your intentions but most people probably don't notice as much as we do ourselves. I think it could be a sign of letting the emotions take over and a slight lack of confidence. You don't need to feel scared about voicing your opinion or facts. If people have a different opinion then it's fine, we are bound to meet people with different opinions in life. When I need to address an issue now I look at the facts and present them as I see them, I try to forget about feeling "wronged" in certain situations. I also play devils advocate with myself to try to see things from other peoples perspectives and that's helped me decide whether it's a battle worth fighting.

I have found an article that has lots of tips to stop the battery from running low while not in use and apparently it's Alexia that turns it on.

One is a Samsung and no problems with that one

Thanks, Monga hopefully by their next stay I will have sorted it.
Bloody Alexa 😂

You can disable her in the settings

The eye sore garden, I don’t think you can do much about. I get it’s annoying though! However on this occasion it seems like maybe a pick your battles wisely thing. Are they likely to kick off if you ask them nicely? Failing that report to the council if you don’t know who they rent from. But I do think ir you can just talk nicely to them (if they are able to do that with you) would help avoid a dispute.
I agree with picking your battles .I'd ask them to keep the access clear so you can get in and out .

I can ask them but am not expecting it, I've never been to this hotel so I don't know if they will just say no since after check out they really have nothing to really do with us then, I think most travel lodges an the such usually say no so am just assuming they will work a similer way
Phone the hotel and ask? Most hotels do offer a left luggage option. Anyway, yes, the main train & bus stations have luggage lockers, obviously you have to pay for them but they are there. Try googling the station you are leaving from, look to see if they have it and then drop your stuff off so it’s easy to collect when you are heading home

Hey
I see the tiktok thread used to be closed to new people. I now see new people commenting on the latest karina thread..

Is there a way I can comment too as I can't see the option?
I think we are supposed to ask this type of question in forum business on this thread

I promise I’m not dirty when I say this
But for about a few days now I’ve had no more than 2-3 flies in my house. I’ve hunted high and low to see if there’s something they are attracted too. But have been unable to find anything. I’ve cleaned up. I’ve mopped up. Ive bleached. I’ve used zoflora. I’ve just (within last hour) moved my outdoor bins as they were originally under the kitchen window (on outside) I empty my kitchen bin regularly but I can’t seem to get rid of them! I’ve left windows open. They don’t seem to leave. They’re not multiplying either. So doesn’t seem to be somethinf that will cause an infestation but they are SO annoying. It seems like the same 2-3 all the time. How can I get rid of them?
Kill then with fly spray. When they get stuck indoors they tend to die after a couple of days anyway. There might be something dead near your house and why there are more flies in the area.

They are annoying AF just get some spray and kill the little blighters

Maybe a bizarre request but maybe someone can help? I walk a lot during my commute and it is wearing down my decent shoes. I don’t want to wear gym trainers on my way because it looks odd and easily makes holes in my tights by the heel. What other comfy trainer type shoes can I wear? I don’t want something clumpy, but definitely a trainer as opposed to shoe as I feel like my feet aren’t supported and hurt if I wear regular work shoes. I was thinking converses but I was wondering if anyone had any better suggestions. ☺
What about New Balance? I've had a few pairs in different styles and find them comfy . I tend to walk into the town centre where I live and I find them hard-wearing.

Has anyone ever been at the point where they are done listening to/trying to help a friend who will not leave a bad relationship even though they have every Avenue and all of the support to do so

Is it cruel to not want to be friends anymore? It doesn’t even feel like there is a friendship left and I can no longer hide the anger and hurt I feel towards her.

I want to tell her that I will always be there to help when she decides to leave but I cannot play along anymore
I had a aunt that was in a god awful relationship, no matter what anyone of us in the family said she never saw it, they say love is blind an until they see for themselves then nothing you say will get them out it, it wasn't until the jackass walked out on new year with my aunt she finally seen what an asshole he was an how we were right

Has anyone had soundwave therapy ( I think that is what it's called? I have a problem with one of my feet and it's creating all sorts of other problems due to not getting it sorted (it wasn't covid so it wasn't important) My Achilles heel is inflamed and calcifying and apparently nothing can be done via NHS due to it being left so long

I just wondered has anyone had this alt treatment done and did it help with your problem?

Has anyone ever used some sauce out a jar an then kept the rest for another time? Is it fine to do or would it go off

Folks are away for the week so I'll just be cooking for myself rather than all of us, I really like having lasagna an pasta bolognaise etc but usually I'd use the full jar for them, would I be fine to only use some of it an then keep the rest for another night, it would only be maybe 2 or 3 nights later so not for very long
I do that, it keeps for a while once opened. Also freezes well.

I think that’s one thing I’m conscious of. I’ve never lost a family member. Well, I have but they’ve never been a family member I’ve been close to or even met. Think the last person to die was years and years ago when I was a child and that was my mums Nana.
