I thought that is if the car is rear facing, surely the air bag should be on if the baby is facing the front otherwise that’s really dangerous they would go straight through the screen
Oh yes I think you’re right, I got in touch with the DVLA regarding this, a rear facing car seat can go in the front only if you switch the airbag off. But to be fair I had a girl in a car seat forward facing in my car once and I switched the air bag off them too
I'm sure in the latest series there was a part where McKenzie was in the front forward facing whilst Dylan was driving. I could be wrong but for some reason I have that scene stuck in my head??
You can use a FF seat in the front but it's last resort and the airbag should be on with the seat pushed as far back as the car allows so the airbag doesn't deploy too harshly into the child. You're right, it is the most dangerous position. Neither Dylan nor Megan seem to take much notice of car safety which is shocking.
If I put my child in the front they’d probably mess around with the gear stick or press buttons, it can be distracting
