I’m sure Martha is in here somewhere...

If this is where she has ended up, at least she’s in a place with lots of other dogs like her and people who know how to love and care for her

If she is, why didn’t Jim go and get her? he also can’t claim to give a tit about the dog, didn’t want her to interfere with any of his gifted holidays and lifestyle with his new idiot insta model girlfriend

If she’s actually sent Martha to the The Red Foundation that’s not what I expected. I thought Tan had rehomed Martha, not sent her to a charity!

Looking at the website, a lot of those poor lovely daxxies are rescued from abusive homes or from people who can’t look after them anymore. What’s Tan’s excuse? She’s minted, it’s not like she couldn’t afford to look after/feed/insure Martha anymore. She certainly has the time to walk her and/or pay for someone else to take her for a walk (or get Kate to do it). Honestly, other than changing her mind on the lifestyle she wants I don’t think Tan has a good excuse for getting rid of Martha.

When you get a dog, it’s a big commitment. I totally understand when someone loses their job or their home or has no choice to move to rented accommodation and can’t take dogs but that isn’t this. I’m sorry her marriage broke down and the dog was in the middle of that but it’s not like Tan has lost her entire income or has been made homeless and had to give her dog up.

A lot of what the charity do is sadly rehoming pups who are unwanted and not a good lifestyle fit 😔 we are seeing a ton of new requests for puppies during lockdown and I fear the same will happen for a few of them 💔

I always have sympathy for people who have no choice but to surrender their dog and how heartbreaking that must be but very little sympathy for those who just don’t think about the commitment. I adopted my dog when he was 8 months from a family who did no research into his breed and only got him because of they way he looks. They did no training and “couldn’t cope”. A dog is work and they don’t stay a cute puppy forever.

I must say, all this rhetoric about corona lockdown “being the perfect time to get a dog” has worried me too. It feel very much “a dog is for life, not just for Christmas/Lockdown”

Tan can’t hide this forever and I doubt people will stop asking. She has an opportunity to put some spin on this in her favour but I can’t see any good reason why she got rid of poor Martha.

Also agree about Jim. If Martha did go to this rescue, why didn’t he go and get her???

Can someone contact red foundation and ask? It’s bizarre.

Can imagine her and Jim have somehow stopped them from being able to answer us

I think a lot of the corona = perfect time to get a dog thing is that you need to spent a lot of time with them at home when you first get them, no? People usually take time off etc.

Course Tanya wouldn’t understand that sort of commitment to an animal she just gets rid when the likes start decreasing

My problem with the “get a dog during Corona” idea is that some of these dogs/puppies might not be as socialised as one would like with social distancing and might also develop separation anxiety when people go back to work. And as others have pointed out, some might get puppies because they’re home and then get rid of them once things return to a semblance of normality. Although I’m sure there are lots of people adopting dogs right now who are responsible and doing a good thing, I fear there are some who aren’t.

I understand and I do agree. I always fear there are idiots adopting or buying animals that they are not going to properly care for!

Interesting.. I can still see it from the account I commented from, but not from my other account!
You can block certain words using the Instagram comment filter so the person who commented can see the post but no one else can. Not sure how she'd block the words you used - maybe the letter M - but I'm sure that's what she's done, so she's not deleting comments but rather pre-blocking any comment which mentions Martha/ Rehoming/ etc (lots and lots of celebrities/influencers do it)

I'd love to know - can SHE see the posts? If she's put on a comment filter will she just never see those posts?

No I don't believe she can - but it's not 100% clear. I imagine the thinking behind the filter (from Instagram) is to shield people who get horrible messages (and are affected by them) from seeing them. I think you can remove the filter and then see the comments immediately after that, though.

I think that they’re childhood friends, and I know some people are more comfortable with nudity, but the only person id be comfortable with taking a photo of me in the bath is my boyfriend 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also, isn't it just a bit weird? 'Hey, can you come and take a photo of me on the bath for the gram?'

I think this about a lot of influencer photos - I get it's part of their personal brand and everything, but it's just so self indulgent and contrived, I don't know how they aren't embarrassed!

It’s just like the old ‘took this photo by accident, haha, thought I looked cute’ scenario. It’s so painfully obviously staged.

Also, I think it’s hard to be embarrassed when any piece of critique is filtered out of your Instagram comments.
