Definitely an ongoing theme with her. Veganism too expensive, ‘need X that won’t break the bank’ blah blah blah… then cut to the next clip in the vlog and she’s wearing 4k worth of jewellery on her way to fly first class to a tropical location for a 3 week 5 star holiday

I just want to shake her! She has some root issue (or issues) that NO amount of outside assistance with her baby and "job" will help. At this point it could be any number of things, but she's struggled with time management for years and I can't understand how she gets on camera and says with a straight face that she needs more and more and more help to do a job that lots of influencers manage almost all alone when their platforms are at the level hers are at. She's not failing as badly as some OG influencers, but she's also not been really growing her account for years. I think career-wise and also just for her own personal enjoyment in life, she really needs to look into mental help.

I did see someone asked how can she manage to read so much with a small child, with the poster saying they struggle to with theirs. Jess literally has nothing else to do and loads of help. I hate that people may be watching thinking why can't they be as productive etc.

Her book content is beyond boring. It’s slow, redundant, uninteresting, and any quality points she makes are stolen from others’ GoodReads reviews. I’d never pay a dime to watch this garbage on patreon. If anything, she should pay people to have to sit through it.

I watched the start of her book video and seeing her talk about supporting her little family - her whole mannerism changes. I don’t think she was saying the patreon is to help support her family with a genuine projection at all. To me it came across that she was excited about doing the whole ‘earning money to earn money for your baby’ thing like it’s an exciting novelty. No understanding there that there are people who work 10x harder and don’t have the option to sit on a cushion trust and even then struggle to feed themselves after they’ve their children. Baffling.

She used to seem a lot more in touch when she surrounded herself with others her age a lot more. Since leaving Edinburgh she’s lost that. I didn’t expect her to stray this far away from her prior self before though.

See, if she already can't take criticism from viewers who watched her for years she has no place on Patreon. The patrons will not accept her flacky content, constant moaning and disappearance there. Heck no! She will have to pump content once a week, newsletters, personal videos, etc

To be honest I do not read this thread everyday so I don't know if people were attacking her. All I see is a group of dedicated followers who simply want her to post more consistently and better quality content. If she was actually interacting with her followers in the comments I wouldn't be on Tattle but on her channel discussing openly about that.

She has some cheeks to want to create a paid environment to "interact" with us when the only reason she still has a career is because we are supporting her and her constant ads.

Ok also it's such a bad endorsement for the brand, acting like you need your handyman hubby to teach delicate, feminine you how to use a big scary machine. It would have been better if she'd emphasized how easy it was to learn to use or something rather than imply that she couldn't figure it out alone.

You can’t leave any sort of comment that doesn’t lick her arse or people jump in with ‘cut her some slack she’s got a baby!!! She can’t be consistent’. I swear all of her ‘fans’ are 14.

I can’t show up to my job and say ‘sorry I’ve got a baby I cannot be consistent’. I work 37 hours a week and when I’m at work I have to work. She has a partner who works for her. A mum, sister and stepdad living with her. A nanny. A housekeeper. All the hours I spend doing housework per week, she doesn’t even have to do her child’s laundry. Her partner is the cook. All the hours I spend making lunches and dinners, she doesn’t even have to wash a dish or do a food shop. She doesn’t have to commute. She doesn’t have to wait for the next bus because one is full. She doesn’t have to stay logged on until 6.30 doing something for her boss. She could do 5 hours admin and 5 hours filming a week and she’d be set.

Its clear she just doesn’t WANT to. And nobody would care if she would just ADMIT THAT, and stop making false promises and money grabbing on Patreon. If I had her money I wouldn’t work, but I wouldn’t pretend to work either. She’s probably a bit embarrassed but the way she acts is 10x more embarrassing than being a rich nepo kid.

Thissss. Someone left a comment asking her to commit to one video a month, and someone replied saying something like cut her some slack she has a baby.

Insane. One video a month is not a big ask.

It's honestly an insane situation. I don't begrudge her for not taking on a job she hates/isn't passionate about either (I would do the same if I could!) But how is she not aware enough to understand that constantly moaning about her life/not having enough time etc. is going to rub people up the wrong way. She admitted that she regards reading books as working, so I guess when she's been referring to being SO BUSY despite not producing any content, she means she's been reading a lot. She seems to have the liberty (or perhaps the burden) of having too much time to think about life and what she should do/how she should do it, rather than just living her life! It would be sad if she wasn't so filthy rich hahaha

I think she’s probably only interested in working hard for things that have a reward (like most people). Working hard in school and university she was rewarded with good grades and praise whereas she could spend hours filming/editing a 40 minute video and it barely hits 1000 likes. She has such little engagement/growth on her youtube it’s probably not worth the effort to her. Especially when she gets offered £££ for a little instagram post or story. I’d guess her youtube channel is a very small percentage of her income.

Agree but it's a vicious circle isn't it. If she puts zero effort into posting videos regularly then of course her views/engagement/growth will keep going down and she will get less and less "rewards" from it. And instagram is definitely easier/quicker/less effort but even there she doesn't perform at all. She just came back today after not posting a SINGLE thing on instagram (no stories, no posts) for FOUR weeks straight!! (and over EIGHT weeks on her youtube) I just can't even believe that she has the nerve to talk about "making this [social media] space great" when she invests SO LITTLE in it. It's absolutely mindboggling and embarrassing. She SHOULD know better. She's educated, well-read, and surrounded by people who put in ACTUAL hours into their work (her parents etc). But she keeps proving to be so ignorant and tone deaf. At the end of the day, she's just lazy and complacent, and has no ambition. I guarantee the only reason she's coming back now is bc she has a Bareminerals ad coming up or some shit.

I watch someone who gets about 8,000 AUD a quarter year from patreon just from charging 2 dollars a month for complete access, and gives the money to different women’s charities each time because she already makes plenty of money from her full time job and side jobs. Yeah and she doesn’t post anything organic/taken on the spot, even in her stories. Everything has to be shot on camera by Zak and edited to fit her esthetic. Everything she posts is stuff that was taken daye/weeks/sometimes even months ago. It’s kind of exhausting to even witness tbh. Like cant you just be relaxed for once and not care so much about esthetics?

Whether or not you agree/disagree with JKR’s essay, it doesn’t change the fact that she’s said some extremely inflammatory and harmful things on twitter, where she has the largest platform and reach. Regardless of whatever nuance she’s acknowledged in a long-form essay that the majority of people won’t bother to read (and surely JKR is aware of that), it’s still a fact that she’s said things that’s encouraged certain groups to use to discredit and attack trans people. And from what I can tell she hasn’t distanced herself from those bigoted groups, she just keeps giving them fuel. For that reason it’s fair enough for Jess to say that she’s “problematic”. It’s silly to try and paint Jess as unreasonable for not wanting to support her.

If you mean these type of tweets I have no issue with them and struggle to see why anyone would. Jess lives a wonderfully charmed life. She can sit around in her ivory tower. Meanwhile my daughter is at risk of turning around in a women’s changing room & seeing a penis while her very brother has to go into the men’s changing room because at 7 he is deemed to old for the women’s. Jess can take her daughter off to her private swimming lessons & villa pool.
i completely accept that trans women wouldn’t want to be in a male changing room. But the answer is not to go from a space where they feel uncomfortable to a space where others do.
And I am not a “person who menstruates”, I’m a woman who resents being reduced to my bodily functions because a small minority want to ignore biological reality.
As far as I can tell the well off are usually anti JK, they have little else to worry about.
