But then it all unravelled when Gabby ended up in the DO against Penny Lancaster, who (in another maritally contingent plot twist) was voted through despite basically walking through her dance as Rod Stewart was scheduled for an upcoming singing performance and they didn’t want to piss the Lancaster-Stewarts off in case he flounced (though obvs, in the event of being short a musical act, the clear answer is ‘Bruno’, as we now know).

I know the occasional Sun story does seem to come from a genuine source, but this and the Gorka one just feel like they've picked up on a few things that happened in the final and put a bullshit spin on them, probably to try and provoke a reaction. The fallow period before the tour starts and they can start following them all from hotel to hotel

Btw, I just went into my notes app and saw my pre-series leaving order predictions. Got a few of them right but thought Hamza would exit first (my reasoning I think was least known, new pro, no performing experience) and I thought Jayde was going to reach the final . And for some reason I can't remember, I thought James would reach the semi final??? Probably the nice young man vote

Couldn't think of anything worse...and I quite like Kai and Nadiya all seems a bit self indulgent and sickly sweet seems they think they are the bestest, most in love Strictly couple ever and the public are just desperate to know all about it and I fairly sure that is not the case! They make a gorgeous couple, they seem happy but totally not interested in their story.

Kai was having a wholesome family Christmas with Nadiya and her daughter, so Gio will have needed a new wingman for the BOGOF male escort thing. Perhaps that’s why Neil took wee Cameron in for the season, so Gio couldn’t get his prison tattooed hands on him.

Both AJ and Kai played up the showmance, like so many couples before them have done on Strictly, but that was all it was. They've both moved on from that series, so I don't really get all the 'poor AJ' talk from her stans

The stans have a weird dynamic where they blow smoke up her arse claiming she’s on the cusp of world domination, but then infantilise her in relation to anything to do with Kai. I’ve said it before but I find stanning/shipping strangely fascinating. I’d love to understand the psychology behind it.

Lady Lav and the appreciation thread are still putting in all the work on that thread about Gio and Jowita on DS- they absolutely refuse to accept he has ever used tabloids or his personal life for exposure/career gain, and it’s just a big coincidence that the member of the public who snapped them outside his flat happened to be a pap who he follows .

I honestly think their retirements would be better spent in support of a less scandalous pro- fellow Italian and devoted husband to his childhood sweetheart Graziano or Gorka with his wholesome relationship with Gemma and little Mia whose recent biggest scandal was looking pissed off when he didn’t win perhaps…
