Have the BBC/Strictly ever addressed the whole ‘everything is done on Saturday but we still pretend it’s over two nights’ thing? I mean, it’s no secret to anyone so why do they still insist during the shows with the ‘so how did you think it went LAST night?…their performance on Saturday’ etc

Surely the presenters, contestants, judges all slip up during filming with the timelines and they have to re-record stuff. It’s so odd!!

The celebs all post stuff on socials now on Sundays/Sunday evenings that makes it perfectly clear they're at home. Seems a weird facade to keep up now!

They should just show it live, they’re forever complaining about spoilers ruining the Sunday show for people. That’s easily solved I’m sure they could squeeze it in somewhere on a Saturday.

Can someone explain who creates the choreography? I always assumed the pro partners did but several couples keeps thanking other people…?

They often get help but I think it depends what dance is it. Eg. Sara thanked the couple who helped them last night on her insta stories and so I think a few get help with the Argentine Tango? Rose and Gio had help with their contemporary dance too.

They seem to get help with certain dances then I suppose the pro's do the rest?

The more ‘specialist’ dances they tend to get help with, so contemporary, Argentine tango. But the standard ballroom and Latin, the pros choreograph (although I’m sure they probs have some help or guidance)

The specialist dances are choreographed by professionals: Argentine Tango, Charleston, Couples Choice. Leandro and Maria who are AT pros do all the ATs, though I think they discuss a lot with the pros. Eg in Adam and Katya's AT I am sure Katya came up with the lifts! Arduino and Ash-Leigh, who also appear in some of the pro dances, do some of the CCs, including Gio's and Rose's.

I know what you mean about contemporary dance on SCD - it seems to consist 90% of one person trying to run away and the other person angrily/passionately pulling them back. I felt that way about Ashley and Pasha's one too, even though I sympathised with the backstory to hers.
The one that I remember/like is from DWTS: Derek and Kellie, mainly because of the incredible move halfway through:
Wow. That’s on a whole different level to SCD! I want AJ & Kai to do something like this if they get to do CC.

Guessing Tom didn’t get the memo about pretending Sunday is live when McFly are playing the o2 next Sunday night

The Pro's mostly choregraph the traditional 10 dances they are trained in but they bring in others for the specialist dances such as Charleston, Salsa, AT and Couples choice. I believe the show dances are now mostly outside choreo too now a days.

Omg this dance made my eyes water, it's just stunning. I thought she was the professional until I read the comments 🤯
