Exactly, when I used to visit my ex in jail (cat b) we waited in the visitors area before being taken over to the main prison, had to leave all your stuff in a locker but could use your phone in there beforehand, but yea never occurred to me to take pics or videos for my social media lol so no idea on the legality of that, never saw anyone doing it tho, would probably only be done by this brain dead moron

As far as I am aware, you have to leave all your belongings and jewellery in a locker when you sign in right when you arrive.

That’s not the case at all. Individuals should be more open to rational debate, and not say they are leaving a thread whenever someone questions their opinions. I’m not sure why individuals are being so defensive. @GrilledCheese was right to query based upon their experiences.

I use to visit an ex partner in jail and think went to about 7 different prisons in total .. waiting times were long and normally to be sure I got into the visiting hall in the first group and get the full time I would arrive super early so as soon as the reception was open I could be checked in ..then go back to my car /waiting room for an hour or so until the visit started . Grilled cheese is right in what she’s saying. It was only when you were called in would you put your stuff in lockers etc, go through the dog handler , security . The only thing you were allowed to take in was money for the canteen which had to be in pound coins and you I’d

I don't think anyone thought she took prohibited items into visiting, the debate was whether she broke the rules by taking photographs in an HMP building.
