I don’t think I’ve ever heard Siobhan say anything like this either, about balance or about how your diet should fluctuate with your lifestyle. If I get injured and can’t work or exercise I will be doing my body no favours by eating my usual meals and snacks that I’d normally have to fuel me while exercising every day. What I can get away with eating now, might not work for me in my 40’s. It’s not even about how you look but energy wise, how you feel in yourself, those needs change depending on age, what’s happening in your life, how much or how little movement you do, even your job has an effect. It’s not sustainable to say ‘follow my template plan and you’ll be grand- sure look at me’. What works for one probably won’t work for the other and her plan is way too generic. I have a chronic illness while working a very hands on job with animals and I’ve had a nightmare trying to find a PT that can work with me in person as most of them don’t seem to have the experience in this region. Siobhans plan would do absolutely nothing for me, I’d probably be left exhausted and borderline malnourished

if Siobhan was (god forbid, not wishing it on her

) to break an ankle or something that stopped her from doing her steps and CrossFit etc, she’d balloon. And that’s not me trying to be nasty, anyone would gain some weight in that scenario when you literally cannot move, but the way she eats is not balanced or healthy at all and without her movement to balance it out she’d have some really noticeable changes. That’s not the kinda practice she should be teaching people. I get she isn’t actually teaching people as part of the furnace but she makes all these posts to her wide audience and really seems to believe there’s nothing wrong with them. That meal she had today, why couldn’t she cook a chicken fillet and boil a bit of rice and throw some veg in? It would have taken her maybe 20 mins max if she’s not good in the kitchen and she could have had several portions to have during the week for about €10. At least that way when she gets a takeaway it’s for a treat not an actual necessity because she’s starving and has no other option.
