Ok I am WELL behind on this but have to ask- how can the rebel Wilson finger up Tim Hardys arse story possible be true? How is it possible to walk up to someone who is standing normally, clothed, and within seconds, SHOVE A FINGER UP THEIR ARSE?! It can’t have happened can it?!

was anyone else massively let down by the new drama “This Town”? I was sooo looking forward to it as I loved ska back in the day but I turned off because of the awful acting and tragically piss poor accents.
I'm reading the same feedback on the local subreddits. Don't think I'll bother watching now.

Very rare that any dramas get the Midlands accents right. Often exaggerated to sound more Black Country sadly.

Agreed This Town could and should have been so much better. Lots of issues with the aging of stuff for those that know the area too.

Parents who grew up in Erdington / Sutton Coldfield / Birmingham in that era won’t be watching.

Perverts and other assorted weirdos have been managing it for years. If he was in his underwear, or elasticated-waist sportswear or low-rise trousers, it's possible.

I haven't watched it yet but I think some of this was filmed near to where I live. The accents will be very interesting because TV dramas always go for a Yam Yam accent when that's a totally different area!

Absolutely true. I worked in Parliament at the time and it was common knowledge.
They got together 'later' in life but the knew each other from childhood. Both were Vaudeville performers and were pushed on stage as soon as they could walk.
I quite often saw PR around Westminster as she stayed with BB in her apartments, although they were both very discreet. It was a bit of a shock to teenage me, not because they were lesbians but because it was Hyacinth Bucket and they were sooooooo old!!! (Actually probably not any older than I am now!)
After I stopped working there I was no longer privy to gossip. Parliamentary workers are unbelievably discreet when it comes to the secret lives of MPs, no bugger would tell me anything! I really hope they stayed together, they were both very lovely and deserved to be happy.
Was she at BB’s funeral?

We’re watching it at the moment. I don’t know anything about that time in the Uk and find it quite good albeit harrowing at times. I can’t speak for the accents

Taking tips off casino workers, from Ben, is the one that irks me the most about Lopez. For someone with so little talent, her ego is horrifying.

Each of their Wikipedia pages has the other listed as a “close friend“, which I think is a sweet way of acknowledging their relationship on their own terms.
I saw a bench recently, with the inscription 'Remembering Helen, an adored friend and missed so much by Barbara, with love from both their families, may they be reunited in time' and the dates of Helen's birth and death were 1928 - 2022 It made me feel tearful. Poor Barbara.

Interview from years ago where she's slagging off a bunch of folk
Oh, I remember that interview, it was hilarious. J-Lo didn't hold back slagging off all of young Hollywood at the time. She was particularly bitchy about Gwyneth Paltrow bring a nobody girlfriend lmao.

Movieline magazine was kinda the Tattle of its day, specialising in back room gossip and hiring writers who somehow managed to get their subjects to loosen up and dish the dirt.

J-Lo has nothing to apologise for.

Yep, I was hoping someone would have had a good experience of Freddie Flintoff to counter him sounding like a bit of a fuckwit.

Maybe he is a big twit after all. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Bit late but I saw Freddie at a local cricket club where his boys played, this was a few years back. It was a fundraising event and he made time for everybody, really lovely. Everybody wanted a photo or a chat and he smiled all day

Regarding Jennifer Lopez I thought she was stunning in the "If you had my love" video, fresh, & youthful but then she seemed to morph into an older woman who looked much more mature overnight. As far as being a quality actress did she not start out as a backing dancer for Janet Jackson? I confess I've never seen any film she's in just recall the derision of the critics about the Bennifer film. I would imagine she and Madonna are pretty level acting wise.
