Re TH I'm watching Taboo today (yes I know its old, so am I ok!) oh my, he's making my habit twitch! What a lovely specimen.
Tom Hardy in every other film/play/drama = OK, quite handsome but sexless.
Tom Hardy in Taboo = my clothes have all fallen off and my ovaries have burst 😍

When I started a new job, my boss said I cannot believe I will be 46 this year and I said I cannot believe I will be 47 this year..

She looked at me funny ( she did not interview me) and said I asked John (who had interviewed me) what age do you think the new girl is?
He said 38!!
I was 46!!
I was made up, and loved him ever since!!

Oh, I remember that interview, it was hilarious. J-Lo didn't hold back slagging off all of young Hollywood at the time. She was particularly bitchy about Gwyneth Paltrow bring a nobody girlfriend lmao.

Movieline magazine was kinda the Tattle of its day, specialising in back room gossip and hiring writers who somehow managed to get their subjects to loosen up and dish the dirt.

J-Lo has nothing to apologise for.
Have to agree tbh. I’m not particularly a fan of Jlo nor do I agree with much of what she said in that article, but it’s kind of refreshing to hear a celeb’s actual thoughts rather then the boring anodyne shit that’s filtered through a publicist that we get from them these days. Also Jlo and her ‘music’ is responsible for one the greatest diva feuds of all time.

In the vein of celebrities you didn't know are related (well, I didn't know);

Selina Griffiths of Benidorm, Cuckoo etc. is Annette Crosbie's daughter.

Now I know this I think they've got the same voice!

I’m adding Lily Allen to the list of celebs I detest. So far I have Amanda Holden and Geri Haliwell. What a trio.
Can I add Emily Blunt? The actress who fat shamed a waitress who had served her, for absolutely no reason other than to tell Jonathon Ross and his audience the woman was really huge.

Tea so weak it ought to be served with egg fried rice.... but I met/filmed with Sean Bean in the 80's (late 1988). It was for a drama he was doing called 'My Kingdom For A Horse' and we were filming at a place called Burton Dassett in Warwickshire. He seemed ok to be honest and he put some money behind the bar if I remember correctly.

Can we have some new stories about celebs that are nice please.
Not an A-list celeb but if you're into Eurovision, you'll know who Luke Black is. (Serbia's 2023 entry). He is an absolute darling and waits with fans for their buses/trains after his concerts, makes sure they get on safely and waves them off. I don't know anything about anyone more interesting than that haha.

This has got to be a PR thing. He's well known for liking them very young. I believe he had a relationship with Millie Bobby Brown when she was a teenager. There is so much noise about him in blind items. He would even film stuff in countries where the age of consent was low to get round things. He is disgusting, one of the worst.
When she first got with the guy who is now her fiance, there were stories it was just a cover and the actual person she was dating was years older as well. I remember reading tons of stories about her parents pimping her out to much older guys back when she first got famous to the point that older castmates...David Harbour in particular got worried about her. Drake was another one who was 'friendly' with her until she turned legal.

Got some very weak tea. My neighbour went to school with Rowan Atkinson. Said he was a prick back then and he “stole” the Mr Bean character from one of the teachers who actually was like that. Even had the padlock on the driver side door of his car.
Every time he gets into the wine he tells me this and it never fails to make me chortle at his outrage.
Very weak tea, many characters are based on real people right?

Seeing as someone has mentioned Stephanie Cole that gives me an excuse to mention the TikTok I saw this morning from which I discovered that Stephanie was a mere 49 years old when she first starred in Waiting For God, that sitcom about the elderly residents of an old folks home.

Also Richard Wilson was only 54 when he started playing Victor Meldrew.

The person who was a celebrity that I really cannot stand is Michael Barrymore. The sad story of Stuart Lubbock came up in my YT feed recently and I watched it.

I always thought MB came across as thick as two short planks but he reveals himself to be a deeply unpleasant character too. How did his "comedy & humour" appeal to the public so much back then?
He’s a horrible, self serving, vile waste of skin. The REAL podcast was great on this and shows how much he was obsessed with himself rather than the death (murder) of someone.

All this talk of shaving years off your age reminds me of Nadine Coyle when she was on Irish Popstars before she auditioned for Girls Aloud having to do the reverse.

You had to be 18 minimum to be on the Irish show but I think she was only 16 and she got caught out when she gave her date of birth when she was doing a piece to camera introducing herself. She gave her real year of birth of 1985 (making her 16) when to continue her lie she should have said 1983.

When she ‘couldn’t find her passport’ to confirm her DOB she had to admit the truth and leave the contest. It worked out for her in the end though 😄

Someone else commented "no-one wants your man. Not even Jolene."

Someone I have known for 20 years, as an acquaintance, asked me to guess his age recently. I mentally subtracted 3 years from my genuine guess, and told him.

My answer was his correct age!

However, he was so huffy that I had guessed correctly - apparently most people think he is 10 yrs younger than his age (🤥)
He was so put out and actually questioned me about it - what was it that made me think he was that age? Blah blah blah.

He is a very successful man with a spiky personality. Can’t imagine why everyone says such low guesses. It never occured to me that he would be so precious about it. 🙄
Had the same scenario when I started a new job a decade ago. All the staff were there (which was approximately thirty) and his girlfriend said ‘How old do you think X is?’ I guessed correctly and there was a collective look of horror from the couple which was met with, ‘Well, everybody thinks he looks ten years younger.’ The problem being that quite evidently, everybody fucking didn’t think that, but I actually said it. I still wish I’d tagged on a ridiculous number of years and said ‘He looks good considering he must have seen some action in Normandy.’
