I read the wiki page for a Serbian film. No way. Sounds disgusting and pure torture porn. I feel like it’s one of those films that people want to say they’ve watched just to seem tough 😂 kids on tiktok saying “lmao it’s not that bad”. It’s like a bravado thing. I bet they wished they’d not watched it

A Serbian Film is just shocking for the sake of it. Its disgusting. My friend made me watch it once and I still haven't recovered. I wouldn't recommend anyone watch it

I've never heard of A Serbian Film before so looked it up.

No thanks. I'll give that a massive swerve.

I've can take a lot when it comes to horror. Not much scares me or disgusts me but years ago I turned Human Centipede off in the first five minutes.🤮

Makes you wonder who would be married to someone who writes such sick stuff.

I'm the same. I love Horror as a genre and I particularly love ghostly, creepy, demonic stuff. I've never really been into the violent gory, slasher stuff but my threshold is generally very high at what I can watch. Films like Human Centipede just don't interest me though. It's just done for shock value.

I watched 'A Classic Horror Story' last night on Netflix. That wasn't a bad film. Some dodgy dubbing but generally watchable. Not as predictable as some.

Oh great, I'm just looking for something to watch later so I might give that one a go 👌

Human centipede 2. Not scary, just plain disgusting. I watched it while trying to show off and be an edgy teen but it disgusted me at the time and still does now.
I felt the same with this one, I love horror films and it takes a lot for something to really bother me but I actually felt quite sick and disturbed by it. Wouldn’t ever give it a second watch!

Not horror as such, but a film that really stayed with me was Prisoners

Last nights horror of choice was The Borderlands (also known as Final Prayer) and it was one of the best films I've seen in a while. Very Blair Witch'esque. Set in rural England.

Very creepy and unnerving. One of those films were your imagination plays a big part.

I've a penchant for British Horror films and 90% of them are crap but this small cast does it's job very well.

Not a horror film but Irreversible was bleeping awful and I'll never watch it again, definitely not going to watch A Serbian Film.

I do love horror though,The Exorcist is up there with one of my favourites, I still find it very creepy! I'm not easily scared though so will watch most stuff 😂 The series Marianne on Netflix was creepy as duck and the classic Ghostwatch I might rewatch now I've seen it mentioned here :D

I think I need to try Marianne again. I only watched the first episode and didn't think it was for me but I've seen lots of good things.

I genuinely love creeping myself out. When I watch this stuff it's always late a night, I'm always on my own and it's always in the dark.

One of my favourite films, so so good.
I ahve never been able to watch it a second time but it is just amazing, I watch a lot of crime/true crime etc and can usually predict endings but this was just impossible to predict

It’s definitely one of the best films I’ve seen but I’m the same, I can’t watch it again! It traumatised me for ages afterwards and I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready to put myself through it all again. I added it to my Netflix watchlist when it got put on there but I have a feeling that’s as far I’ll get towards rewatching it.

Eraserhead is a very strange film early David Lynch.
Japanese films are usually pretty disturbing too. One I particularly remember is The Audition I didn't have a clue what was going on but I had nightmares for weeks after

I want to watch that but I’m scared to!

The euthanasia thread reminded me if this -

The Metallica video for their song One ( which is based on the film Jonny got his gun, which I never seen cos I found the music video frightening enough) . Basically, it's about a ww1 soldier who was in an explosion and doctors manage to keep him alive ,but he can't move or communicate and his mind is a prisoner in his body . They think he is twitching, then they realise he is tapping out 'kill me in morse code.
I think it is terrifying.
