I've been feeling a bit cocky about doing ok so far (a whole 10 days in!), and then today I almost shat myself in public - I'd had poached eggs on toast, and a latte, and it did NOT agree with me. I'm actually a bit frightened to eat again, but I’m at home now at least.

I’ve avoided having my photo taken, especially full length, for years now, but saved one my brother took a while ago (and shared with every relative I have on WhatsApp 😭). That will be my ‘before’ photo. It’s truly, truly hideous.

Has anyone looked at the American Saxenda Facebook groups? They’re so awful - they don’t eat actual food, it’s all “I have an iced coffee made with caramel birthday cake protein powder and a 20oz packet of tuna sprinkles”. I’m addicted to the photos there though.

Does anyone know how to get ozempic prescribed if you're not obese? I tried health express and they wouldn't let me have it. I know you can just lie about your weight but health express also asked for a picture.

Which sites are best for getting it without having to give too much info?

Day 1 on Saxenda today - didn’t expect to feel the effects right away but bloody hell. Barely hungry all day, I could have happily not eaten until dinner. Then dinner came and I wasn’t able to finish it. I have NEVER felt like this, for as long as I remember I have always had an endless appetite.
Really looking forward to seeing how this continues going forward - hoping today isn’t all in my head!

If they have refused you is it because you’re not overweight?

I felt like this pretty quickly. I’m 5 stone down since June (or maybe July, it’s all blurred in to one now). Good luck 😁

I had to laugh at the first bit of your post, bless you🙈 Orlistat made me like that, WORST medication ever!

I was the same with photos, I regret so much not having more taken now, as they’re such a good way to see the weight loss and changes in your body when other things like scales/inches aren’t moving☺

Facebook groups like that are my guilty pleasure🤣 what’s that one called? I’m only in UK ones x

There’s a lot of focus on whether insurance covers the injections on the US groups. The price of meds there is insane!

It is! No wonder they’re all obsessed with ‘clicks’ and staying on a low dose for ever.

I think it’s just ‘saxenda support group’ - there’s a U.K. one as well which isn’t quite as mad. I feel a bit mean, god knows I’m obsessed with it all at the moment as well, I just keep my tit stories hidden away here…

Can anyone recommend any tablet form of weightloss?
I go to the gym nearly everyday and eat under 1500 calories.
Had a gastric sleeve. A gastric band. NOTHING helps me lose weight 😓😓😓😓

Have you tried London slimming ?

Hey all been stalking the threads for a while. I am going to give Saxenda a go, little bit nervous as don't know how my body will react to it but I guess following the dosages will help.

Oh bless you, did you lose much with your gastric sleeve? Are you 100% sure you’re in a calorie deficit? A side from a health issue that hinders weight loss (which only stops a really small percentage of people), it’s often a miscalculation of calories that stops most losing weight. Having said that, have you seen your GP re health issues like under-active thyroid? Something like that could be causing a slow or lack of loss! There is a tablet form of Ozempic called Rybelsus ☺

Day 3 and had minimal side effects so far. Definitely noticed I am a bit nauseous especially when I am due to eat or haven't had enough water! My partner already said that she thinks my face looks slimmer - not sure I believe that but I guess I could have lost some water retention or something!

I cannot believe how much this has stopped the 'food noise' in my head. Every single day for as long as I can remember, I wake up and start thinking about all the nice food and treats I am going to have all day, probably as a dopamine hit. I can honestly say I have barely thought about food at all for the past few days and only eaten when I am genuinely getting slightly hungry, and even then, its only enough to satisfy me and then I stop. I never, ever thought this was possible, I'm quite stunned.

atomic you vocalised it so well. I really feel like the power of food is broken over me. I eat like what I feel someone who has no food issues eats like. I twigged this morning I had cereal with husband who eats cereal every day and is slim. In previous life regimes I'd never have cereal as carbs are the devil and were to be avoided. As I'm near or at goal (still haven't figured that out) if I want a biscuit I have it but its a want not a craving that will spiral me into a binge and a cycle of purging and self loathing.

If youre not eating, what are your energy levels like? How do you keep going throughout the day?

I think I worded that quite badly - I am still eating but just a vastly reduced amount!

I still get a tiny bit hungry, and that’s when I eat. I’m just more mindful around what I choose and I don’t eat endless portions like I would have because I physically can’t! Snacking was a major downfall for me before and I haven’t even thought about it since I started.

My energy levels have been fine - bit tired in the evenings but I’ve had a busy few days too so probably more down to that.

Has anyone tried ozempic via mybestweight? Interested to hear how their service and consults work and the pricing, do you need a new consult every time you get a prescription renewed etc? Very tempted to have a consult seeing as its October led by specialists in obesity rather than my own gp.

Your go might prescribe mine is now. M y best weight is E200 for initial consult and E100 afterwards for fresh prescription. He will email prescription yo whichever chemist you deal with if a Virtual appointment. It is expensive but no judgement or tut tutting that other medical professionals are prone to.
