I still can't understand why she was in for 8 days.

Yes that does happen unfortunately. They call it retained matter or tissue, not necessarily part of the baby. I had it, only sorted after a month once I had a procedure to remove it, like a d and c.
If your really genuine and appreciate what the nurses have done for her would you not want to spend your own money? Any wonder Keith was egging her on for the cuff links! I'm going to guess the 3 she is harping on about are older woman who have no idea who this head case is and the majority of the other staff know of her or where shown so done what they had to (obviously very perfessionly) but give her a wide enough birth for fear of been mentioned on her stories. She was in for 8days so chances of the same nurses being on consecutively is very low. They do shift work full time hours some part time others a mixture of days and nights.
I’d say the 8 days was mental breakdown and making sure she didn’t take home someone else’s baby from the hospital (just watching a crime episode on this atm) she’s a bleeping pig and everyone that said we were harsh saying this the night she announced it, she proved every single one of us right and only waiting so long so she wouldn’t get huge immediate backless because some gross thick’s will sick around for the mourn porn. God she’s vile, dying for Nathan Adam’s to send her a 5kg bag of jellies she’ll pretend not to eat from Luke’s sick bowl

My sis in law in Killarney is a midwife in tralee regional/UHK. I had to ask her what she thought of this as a midwife just now. She said whilst chocolates and cards are the norm, the odd time if you’ve been the midwife at a still birth or tragic event (she told me during covid she would have been literally 10 hours with a woman labouring before hubby was allowed in & one lady was a young widow & they did really bond however work is work & there were no relationships outside of that hospital) you can get a gift from them parents but her manager has a policy that they must disclose gifts other than choc/flowers to the nurse in charge just so people can know if it’s OTT. Nobody would ever take the gifts off of the midwife or refuse them but they aren’t allowed reach out to thank those parents if they aren’t present on the day of the gifting. She said very OTT for personalised chains as it appears expensive even if cheap & said that the consultants would really not be impressed with gifts they are on €kkkkk
