But it will never be sexual freedom, I work in a reasonably deprived area and have cared for sex workers and heard their stories. They are not sexually free, they’re often not free in any way whatsoever. I get that sal’s sex work is more of a choice for her, however, when it’s CLEAR what views she held towards sex work.......there’s no way in gods green earth she chose to get into this or to continuously ‘up the ante’ if she had another way to make a decent living. Sal is driven my money and status, it’s what she thinks determine success. She is not sexually free.

And that’s fine, except you say that consensual sex for money constitutes sexual freedom. I can consent to something because I want/need the money but consenting doesn’t equal freedom to choose unfortunately.

I think there is a difference between being sexually free because you enjoy it and you don't answer to anyone and you it's an important part of your life - and doing it as a job. I don't think many people do it because they enjoy it, are good at it and choose to do it full time instead of something else.
It would be amazing if that is the case in all sex workers, but I would think the ratio to people choosing to do it because that is what they want to do as a job and people pretty much with no other choices has got to be quite low.
I think Sal's previous public comments on it tell us which category she falls into. (and things like that are why I sometimes feel sad for her)

I’m also pro decrim and I don’t think sex workers can’t also be sexually liberated or have sexual freedom but in Sali’s case this just isn’t so.

If you look at her objectively, she has no skills, poor education, poor mental health which isn’t treated, poor life choices, no solid work history - the more years go by, she’s more and more unemployable. She has limited options - I’m not excusing that many of these are fixable but I wouldn’t employ her. When you make silly mistakes and wrong path at 20, you have time on your side to improve things.
