Journalism, when it mattered, was a trade, not a profession. No tertiary qualifications required, all on-the-job training. Now it's a pissing contest between bluetick wankers, self-professed "journalists" who couldn't tell Pitman shorthand from a Twombly abstract. A needy bunch of rosé-swilling elitists dripping in designer accessories while pretending to be socialists, fawned over by idiots on social media. It's depressing

Legend. That is all

It is almost like a meme:

Journalists then: I just uncovered a huge scandal and my life is now at risk

Journalists now: I just wrote a column about the 5 best intimate washes and they were mean about my taxidermy on Tattle!

Oh, THE IRONY. THE NERVE.

You should really cleanse. But it's ok if you don't. But it's best if you cleanse. But I had too much fun in my youth to always cleanse. But do it - pollution etc. Ending with this:
.And so, on the vast majority of evenings, I propel myself from the sofa at around 8pm (any later and I’m too tired), massage in some cleansing balm such as Farmacy Green Clean (£24, 50ml), add a dash of water to make it milky, then sweep away with a wet flannel, washing again if necessary. It is absolutely for the good of one’s skin. But occasionally, we can live a little.
WTF is she actually saying?!

She is right when she says there is more to life than skincare. But, her entire life revolves around skincare and beauty. Is this an existential crisis? I’m getting more and more confused as the weeks go on.

Apropos of nothing, I can’t remember if it was this thread or the beauty chat offshoot threads where Hada Labo has been talked about but you can consider me influenced, I picked up the hydrating serum and the day cream with the Superdrug 25% off. Looking forward to being veal-faced,rather than beef-faced, in the very near future (assuming I remember to take my make up off, of course).

As with eating, sleeping and exercising, it’s what we do most of the time that matters.

But...she hates exercise? And eats ALL THE CARBS despite being teeny tiny?

I wonder why didn't mention her ITB with Tilbury - she spoke about the sleeping in make-up thing back then, too.

Going to bed with your make up on because you’re pissed and had a good night is a bit different from wearing make up to bed because you don’t want your life partner to see you without it isn’t it? Plus as is often referenced here She Here and C Moron declared it some sort of mental health issue if you couldn’t even go the corner shop sans warpaint. So, which is it? You do or you don’t comment on what other women get up to?

She said in the Lisa Armstrong ITB that she always keeps miceller water and cotton wool on her bedside table for whenever she’s too tired.

Wonder if She Here visited Lisa Eldridge’s pop up before us Plebs descend ?

Actually, I don’t think she was invited😂😂😂

What a load of self indulgent twaddle. All that about social media melting down and of CT and women hating women. The only person who kept banging on about it was Sali. Indignant on Charlotte's behalf who has actually said something similar and couldn't give a tit.
I really do think most of us are intelligent enough to know washing is good, but if you sometimes don't it generally doesn't matter.
Not sure it needed a piece in a national newspaper. That is a the sort of basic skincare most master by about age 14 - one would think a professional beauty journalist might have something a bit more interesting and less basic to say.
