I feel like the original poster just got confused between Jane Austen and Jane Eyre and Sali ran with it to be clever, except she too obviously doesn't know her regency from her gothic and made it even weirder. I suppose when you decide to sell yourself as much educated, so cultured, chinning books night and day, not picking up the difference between the two comes across a bit embarrassing. Sali's brittle self image when challenged immediately shatters into whatever cutting remark she can type out. I do think she'd benefit greatly from reading Jane Eyre, it has some beautiful ideas that were ahead of their time in a society where the author had to sell her work as if she were a man to prevent bias. Here's one I think Sali should meditate on given her chosen path as an influencer, one of my favourite Jane quotes:I still don't get the original 'Jane Eyre is shook' comment. What did that mean? But yes @Aude, perfect summary. She just can't bear to be seen as not knowing something. Has she ever said anything like "oh I didn't know that, that's interesting" in her whole life?
Thread titleHer next sweater should be “Jane Eyre Don’t Care” I’d buy it
I was going to say "characterless" but I thought that was a bit harsh, so I didn't. I also hadn't understood that there was more than one photo, I don't like dead birds or the cushions (I did wonder what cushions she was going on about). Overall, though, I like a restful bedroom.Late to the party, or rather Sali's bedroom...
It's not minimalist (so was incredibly surprised to see that descriptor. It's basic and bland at best, decorated by someone who either hasn't really got any taste or doesn't trust their judgement when making interior design decisions. The lighting is obviously an attempt to give the room some personality. It does not.
What is most striking is how utterly sexless the room is, although given she's all about maintenance shag, not too surprising.

“I can live alone, if self-respect, and circumstances require me so to do. I need not sell my soul to buy bliss. I have an inward treasure born with me, which can keep me alive if all extraneous delights should be withheld, or offered only at a price I cannot afford to give.”
No, just overpriced Shrimps coats she no longer wearsOpening the wardrobe is too "exposing", yet we are subjected to an endless parade of its contents
Guess it's also full of skeletons
And those 10 pairs of identical skinny jeans. Was it 10 pairs? No, just overpriced Shrimps coats she no longer wears
Now I understand. The two Janes were mixed up, not initially by Sali but she ran with it. And Jane Eyre we did at school, that’s the Bronte one.I feel like the original poster just got confused between Jane Austen and Jane Eyre and Sali ran with it to be clever, except she too obviously doesn't know her regency from her gothic and made it even weirder.
