What surprises me is that influencers never offer the excess to their followers. They could do a draw every so often for random care packages, in the way that Lisa Eldridge does at Christmas. I guess the brands themselves ban giving away any of the 'samples'.

Way way back in the early days of Sali’s Facebook group she did do giveaways of products she’d been sent. But then she complained about the price of postage. And I think people who won had to pay the postage for her - if I remember correctly.

Calling out any skin tone, hair colour or facial feature in a derogatory way is hopelessly old-fashioned. Everyone should be proud of their cultural inheritance, and 'beauty' articles should encourage this. It will still sell plenty of products, just minus all the self loathing.

Yes that is very interesting.
This horrible time is fascinating for seeing the wood for the trees, who is useful, in fact vital, to society when push comes to shove (quite often the lowest paid like carers, teachers, cleaners, farmers, shop staff, drivers, NHS staff, waste operatives etc etc) and who is actually fairly useless yet massively over rewarded financially (sports stars, singers, celebs generally, influencers). It is crazy that someone like for eg Robbie Williams is a multimillionaire when a nurse just about scrapes by. Surely the time for over rewarding the entertainment industry has got to stop after this?

And omg what on earth is going on with Madonna? Will no one advise her to avoid social media if she is going to be so bloody appalling?
