So the guy was just replying saying he also liked curry and mentioning two of his fave dishes.
A normal response to that would surely be "I don't eat meat, but I do love chickpea curry" or something along those lines. Honestly, the way that she replies to people is disgusting. Why does she bother? We get it Sali, you think you're better than people. You are a true bin person, piss boiler sometimes.

It's actually made me really sad. Even when she did a stupid, snippy reply, he apologised and responded with some veggie friendly faves and she was STILL horrible.

It's really awful isn't it? I don't know why she treats people so horribly. Makes me feel so uncomfortable and I don't know why her friends don't call her out on it.

Update.

Even after her sarcastic, shit arse reply... he is still being so polite. Maybe Sali could learn something instead of treating people like utter shite.

People. You are forgetting one extremely important factor. The person daring to join in wasn’t a blue ticker. They were mere pleb.

I’m in the eye cream camp, but it’s got to be the right one. I like the Chanel one which has got encapsulated things in - it’s very hydrating...

And yes, the bar is very low.

Also, I had it on very good authority that Lisa Eldridge is a very nice person - someone I know has worked with her. I was very pleased to hear that bit of news 😂

Oh Kirsty !
She’s ignoring Kirsty, Kirsty’s not even worthy of a snippy response.

#thinkingofkirsty.

Possibly not a popular opinion but I actually preferred the days of solely having magazine makeup/skincare adverts, the irony being they seemed more honest. No, I didn’t think I would look like the model, but the model wasn’t lying to my face, pretending to be my mate, it was just all brilliant fantasy.

Warning Sali, I'm going to talk about your children.

Your children, while still at school, may well be carrying the virus unknowingly and passing it on to you, or anyone you or they come into contact with. I hope they are not, I hope that neither they not anyone you know or love catches it but for fuck sake, it's time for YOU to own your behaviour.

Supporting a small business could be putting lives at risk. In the grand scheme of things your meal for 4 will not make a difference to that pub, but your promotion of not follwing government advice might just encourage others to do similar and put more people at risk.

The government advice isn't for you to pick and choose how you follow it. You follow it if you can. If you don't then you, you as an individual, Sali Hughes, are putting people's lives at risk.

I had a close family member attempt suicide a couple of years ago. Fortunately their attempt was unsuccessful and they got the help they needed afterwards and are in a much better place now, but hearing people drop words like 'mental' and 'nervo' into conversation like it's nothing both upsets and angers me.
Agreed. It's so old-fashioned, like calling someone 'gay', or your rascist nana talking about 'Them [insert derogatory name for any race]'.

There is nothing wrong with having mental health issues (most will at some point), and so no need for such words to be used as terms of abuse.

But obvs it's easier to label someone 'mental' than appreciate that they don't think like you, but that is what it is to put yourself in the world. It shows the bubble she lives in.

In the grand scheme of things your meal for 4 will not make a difference to that pub, but your promotion of not follwing government advice might just encourage others to do similar and put more people at risk.
👏👏👏 You hit the nail on the head. I'd put money on her thought process being along the lines of 'I can help these poor people by buying four burgers from them, which will at least pay for one member of staff on the minimum wage, and if I post it, maybe my followers will follow my shining example and also go out and help, and all that help will be due to me, SH, being so amazing, again.'

This is beyond the pale. Where’s the kindness here? I know being a hermit isn’t fun. But none of us should be focussed on fun now. We need to pull out all of the stops to protect each other.

How can a public figure, in good conscience, expose the poor restaurant workers to risk. The evidence is clear - we are infectious before the symptoms and many people totally asymptomatic.

I have friends who work as restaurant staff and they’re petrified and feel obliged to go to work but they don’t feel good about it and nor should they.

This for me is the final example I need to see that this person is not kind or considerate. This person is all about self promotion and looking cool and in this instance it’s at great cost to goodness knows how many people.

Nurses and doctors are literally going to war and leaving their families behind to protect them. I know it isn’t fun for small businesses but that’s the reason many of us do not go into small business despite fantasising about it - it is incredibly risky!!! We can all help those people get back on their feet and the government must protect them. Mail them a check for the price of a burger if you’re that worried. But honestly to encourage people to socialise is sick.

Im sure I sound over dramatic! But I promise promise prevention is the name of the game here for the individual xxx

Hi, been reading for a while but this is my first post.

just spotted this on Twitter. Seems Beauty Banks might not be behaving entirely charitably

Imagine carrying on a conversation like that on twitter with no one but your flying monkeys. It’s embarassing for the flying monkeys the most, I think.

Anyway... it’s full of bait to try and turn the talk here away from talking about shady influencer behaviour into she said she said tit-for-tat. I’m not biting today.

Edit: thank you for posting it @Disillusioned. Good to have evidence of the contradictions and sleight-of-hand.

It is a crowded field but I think I have to agree with you.
The trouble is too many people at home with time on their hands. Surely there must be some films from the 80s that urgently need watching?
She's seen them all and don't anyone even dare suggest otherwise

So arrogant. This is why the damn thing is spreading - because people who are young and healthy think 'I'm fine, I won't give it to anyone', which is as bad as the pensioners telling everyone 'I'll be fine'. Viruses don't have ears, and no one should be making the choice for other people, or the people they have to come into contact with. There are large numbers of people who can't isolate (like frontline medical staff with children), but for the rest of us, it's about doing what we can, which means stop making unnecessary trips out for now.

She could have walked over the road to get the meal as takeaway if it was two minutes away. And ffs, why is she even posting about her food? Who genuinely cares???

And makeup as an act of defiance - oh do fuck off. It isn't. It is fun and quite trivial - that is the joy of it. Beauty writers are really shitting themselves that their hotline to #sponsored #ad must be drying up as people have other priorities and probably won't be spending lots of money on non essentials for a very long time - so now is the time to push home the narrative that makeup and hairdressers are vital.
I hate to say it as women supporting women but I cringe when I read things like 'in these dark days wear a bold lip'. It's embarrassing.

The next few months are going to be weird. I assume the influencers won’t be able to get their botox and fillers for a while?
It is going to be wierd. Plus the appetite for lots of expensive products will drop I think. All seems a bit irrelevant when you are worrying about how/when you can just get the bare essentials and pay bills if you aren't working.
Influencers flashy lifestyles with all their freebies will look increasingly tone deaf.

Those Vampire’s Wife dresses are so utterly minging.

She says that we are talking about someone's weight (she loves repeatedly getting that dig in to her employee)
Hah, so true. Dripping poison in Lauren’s ear. “Remember that time everybody called you fat? No? I have many screenshots, hang on... Remember now? Fat, they said. You. Everybody.”

This is the thing that really bloody upsets me. The fact that most of us here looked up to her, and were let down.
We aren't a load of garbage women who want her to lose her job, we are a load of women who have been exploited by her. And the fact that we feel ashamed while she is bloody lying about us, stalking our social media and "joking" with her mate about them setting their violent boyfriend on us is really sickening.
And this is the one thing she has never, never addressed. It’s the WHOLE POINT of all of this. She won’t address it because if she does (and does it honestly), everything will unravel for her.

Of course the hairdressers charging extortionate amounts (for those that aren't having #presstreatments which are therefore pushing up the prices for everyone else  ) are shitting themselves and urging people not to dye or cut their own hair. Probably because a lot of people will find out they can do their own hair perfectly well thank you and for a miniscule fraction of the cost. Who the hell is going to fritter away £300 or more on a haircut at Hershesons (sp?) even when this is all over? People will rightfully be timid and wary in case this bloody thing comes back. And a lot of people's finances will have changed for the worse.
And I'm really not sure I am comfortable with this awful time being used as an excuse to advertise her own hairdresser. Again.
