Yeah, I worry about her having a normal job, if she ever gets one. I can't see it either. I feel like she'll probably end up doing a master's, PhD and then wanting to write.

Obviously we don't know what happens at home but I'm honestly amazed her parents allow her to spend her time studying.

As soon as I turned 16, my parents were keen for me to get a little job so I could earn a bit of money and develop skills including social ones.

I just find it out that she's cooped up in her room for hours and her parents are okay with that.

If that was my daughter, I would be telling her to go do some part time work or go out and be more sociable.

It's good to be studious but I do worry she doesn't have any other hobbies.

I'm glad she didn't get into Oxford as I think it would have gotten worse However, it's more after university that I worry for her.

Not shitting on her, I really like ruby, just out of concern really.

Much as I agree, she is an adult and her parents can't really tell her how to spend her time. She does have her writing and YouTube, but you're right, nothing very sociable.

Oh, of course, she's an adult and can do what she likes.

I was thinking more when she was 15/16, she was behaving this way and her parents should have intervened then.

For sure. Same with a lot of study tubers, though. Although Ruby seems especially unhealthy in her habits.

What does her sister do? I always thought she was the more sociable of the two.

I find her sister to be a bit obnoxious, I've checked her social media out of curiosity through Ruby a while ago and noped out. She is a teenager though and I guess her whole persona and aesthetic fits with what's in right now, so I can't judge her too hard for that.

I won't tit on her sister but she definitely strikes me as trying to be really "quirky" and being very different from her sister.

She's young and I was like that at her age so understand why she's like that.

It's not hurting anyone and she seems nice šŸ˜Š

Her house seems so interesting and beautiful but it's so cluttered. I've only watched a few videos so maybe it was just some bad days but the mess everywhere would drive me mad lol. The landscaping outside their house seems absolutely gorgeous though, must be a very big house to have so much land.

Anyone see in her latest video she's worried she may possibly have coronavirus as she's feeling ill and has a fever? So she took the precaution to not visit her grandparents BUT happily spends time with her sister and mum watching tv together...
Surely if you think you may have the virus you self isolate in your room away from anyone, even the people you live with??

You are supposed to, but it's really her family's decision since they shouldn't be leaving the house either. Medically you're right, but I can see why her family wouldn't want to leave her alone for the isolation period.

I would love to see a tour of Ruby's house. I'm sure in a recent vlog it was mentioned that her parents were livining in a different part of the house because they weren't well. Just how big is it?!

I agree, it's a beautiful house! They have quirky stuff around too which I really like. She's very lucky, I love her windows and her green lush view outside. I usually like living in a city but also noise makes me anxious so I adore her calm, quiet living space.

I really like Ruby and her videos but I would love to see her eating a wider variety of food and, maybe, go on a date. Not film a date as that could be off-putting for the lucky person but make reference to socialising and letting her hair down. She just reminds me of my cousin who was very studious at that age but couldn't cope in the real world when he left uni. He is much older than me (wrong side of 40) and I don't think that he has ever had a gf or been on a date.

I agree with you to a certain point but we don't know if Ruby is interested in dating or romance. She might be taking her time or just have no interest or attraction for a partner. I believe the uni has helped to a degree; when she was in school she was very much set in her comfort zone but she's made friends and she's slowly maturing. I hope she isn't held back by anxieties regarding relationships and if that's not the case, she shouldn't feel pressure do live as everyone else does, simply to be fulfilling the 'requirements' of her age.

I'm not suggesting that she should go out on the lash or anything but there is more to the world than the four walls of her room.

I like Ruby's videos even though I'm a bit older than her target audience, because I find them relaxing and motivating. But she just seems so stiff and set in her ways, and I wonder if she has trouble making friends and connecting with people. I get vibes that she would be very judgmental of people drinking, partying, and being promiscuous in the way that's typical of her age group.
