If she has gone away on holiday which is looks like she has then she is definitely not working at the school anymore IMO as she is constantly going away during term-time which the school would not allow.
I doubt they’re actually paying her - my guess is she’s a sort of glorified intern who gets to turn up whenever she isn’t doing anything more important/interesting.

I just checked and A-Level English Literature exams this year are on 24th May and 8th June. Of course caring Ruby has been back at school helping her adoring students. She's just so kind.

Never mind. They'll do better without her

She made a 'prepare for exams' vid recently and called it good. Thats her version of helping with their exams. 🤣

If she could I'm sure she would invoice the school for all the HALP that the video provided their students. She does have a planner debt to clear after all...

Be fair. She also wrote on her planner to send the Y13s a card, and putting it in the planner is as good as doing it. And I’m sure every exam-stressed teenager would love a card from the creepy woman-child who’s been hanging around her old school. You know, if Ruby’s not a candidate for sainthood then I’ll be very disappointed.

New TikTok confirms that she’s on a “writer’s retreat”. Can’t wait for the bull content

Ooh, nice find. So, given that she said she’s on a "retreat", that makes it very easy to figure out where exactly she is currently staying…

If I’m right, her retreat costs at least £530, and offers the following amazing perks which are of course completely different from her everyday life: "This is an opportunity to spend time away from the stresses and strains of daily life, surrounded by nature, in a beautiful setting. Whether you are starting something new, or pushing on to finish your latest draft, make time to free your imagination.

An untutored writing retreat is all about you. There are no tutors or midweek guests. Apart from shared meal times, your days are yours to structure as you see fit. Participants will be asked to cook one evening meal during the week, together with a group of others and support from house staff."

I'd say good for her for getting away from her bedroom and spending time not clinging to mummy, but it's yet another trip that's centred around her very fake interests

She has no talent for writing, no desire to improve and no interest in actually being a writer. She could've gone absolutely anywhere for yet another holiday, instead she chose another performative literary vacation to pretend to be someone she's not and scribble down the same repetitive crappy poetry about seaguls and the weather.

What a pathetic existence.

”An untutored writing retreat is all about you.” Everything in Roobee’s life is all about her though 😂 I wonder if she’s gone for an untutored one - I can’t see her being too keen on having any eyes on her ”work” that aren’t utterly uncritical and blindly adoring, like her fans.

I wouldn’t mind going on a writing retreat, just to get away and actually write. But I have cats and a job and a sick mother so I can’t. Ruby’s young and rich and physically able to just take off, and has zero responsibilities. I just hope she shares every detail of it so we can all cringe together, it’s the next best thing.

True, but if I had the money to do whatever I wanted, I'd do something I actually wanted to.

Most of Ruby's holidays are centred around trying to impress others with her performative, clearly fake bookish persona. It's no wonder she constantly looks miserable under her forced grimace.

I really like Squirrel's Bookshelf. She's an American living in the UK with her British husband. Her videos are all about books and book collecting, as she's working in an online vintage bookshop. She also does videos about book repair.

It sounds so not worth it - they basically offer you nothing. You can just go anywhere by yourself and just eat out - will cost around the same.

This is the point though. The people who go on the retreat presumably have relatively busy lives and the time/quiet space is what they're paying for. They're getting away from shared accommodation, families, jobs etc so they can focus on writing in lovely surroundings. Ruby, on the other hand, is paying for what she already has - a countryside setting, her own space, unstructured days full of free time. A writing retreat would be a positive thing for Ruby imo, but if there's no tutoring or feedback then I'm not sure what she'll be gaining from the experience?

Good for ruby for getting out of the bedroom but I do wonder why she is actually going to a retreat other than trying to look like a serious writer. Isn't her home basically one? Big house in the middle of the countryside where she can take a lot of walks, the only difference is that her house is messy and that she does her own cooking instead of the meals provided.

I don't see her going to the courses or really interacting with the other writers as she wouldn't want to be with anyone who is better than her.

Also she's already had a holiday recently to apparently help with her writer's block and she's on a retreat. It almost feels like a sign that the writing isn't for her if she's having to take holidays to help her.

Also has anyone seen the tiktok about spending her birthday alone? She pulls a cupcake out of a green suitcase and puts a candle in it and is trying to look reflective and admire the countryside but she looks like a lost child who got abandoned on a picnic.
