no im sorry but the way the jam COLLIDES with the side of the fridge in the Dickinson video lmao - it's little bits like that which confuse me, wouldn't you just re-film that bit? it did give me a little chuckle though, so 😂
Oh that killed my eyes and ears. The bread tin as well, the sounds are so jarring. She bangs and crashes her tit around. She doesn't respect her viewers' ears and she doesn't respect all the kitchen items, which actually belong to her parents. Its their house.

The piss poor slice of bread...the fact they've got acres of land and says she can't grow anything when you can always prepare for plants in February/March or buy a mini greenhouse...what is she doing like this video was INSUFFERABLE and the fact she's hanging around with no one her age kinda makes me sad like she's definitely regressing into her childhood Emmerinfa persona where she would only hang with her mum

The sound of her sawing that loaf of bread was absolutely hideous.

And she's been alive 22 years and claims she loves learning more than anything in the world, yet hasn't learned out how to spread butter on toast. Just mashes a lump of butter into a random corner and gives up.

I assume there will be a video relating to Virginia Woolf at some point, as noted in her planner. And of course, some random "research" even though she's not in "education" anymore with a side of learning Latin.

Good grief.
As a les, that would be my final straw. Lol. She would probably call Virginia's relationship with Vita a "close friendship" or something and then ignore Orlando and only focus on the aesthetics of Mrs. Dalloway and make a tiktok about "buying the flowers herself." Then she'll go on and on about "stream of consciousness" and how your work doesn't need a plot to justify her own poor writing.

This ruby x you crossover is very unexpected ... like .. wtf were they thinking. She's the most random 'influencer/YouTuber to be invited there. as others said, I cannot imagine her watching that show! I can't help but think how Joe would judge Ruby based on her reading choices (just like how he judged Beck and others in the first season!).

Also.. correct me if I'm wrong, but can you apply for a master's at any time of the year? as in there isn't a deadline like an undergrad degree? or does that not apply to Oxford? I wonder if she got in. If she didn't, she would not post as much online; she seems pretty happy now... I bet she will wait a month after the results to tell anyone if she got in! (or didn't).

Another thing - is Ruby actually smart?

No. Happy I could clear that up x

Joking aside - she’s kinda sorta good at masquerading as an intelligent person, but a lot of her intelligence lies in memorising facts and regurgitating them, usually messing up the words as she does so. From what we see, the second it’s on her to think on her feet and put random bits of info into practise, she flounders.

I also think her inability to own up to being mistaken is a sign of a lack of intelligence tbh. She’s more concerned with trying to appear smart than actually educating herself, and she can’t even really pull that off very well judging by how many folk see through it. Although I don’t know if that’s lack of intelligence on her part or just an assumption that everybody who watches her is an idiot who will believe whatever she says even if the facts don’t add up.

I also think she’d appear way more intelligent if she didn’t try so hard to look clever - because that’s when she ends up using words that either flat out don’t exist, or that she clearly doesn’t understand the meaning of, and it’s a lot. If she just focused on getting her point across without sounding like she swallowed a thesaurus, she’d sound a lot less belligerent.

Even if she woke up at 2 am (which makes no sense for someone that needs to fix their sleep schedule) but of course, you're not going to get up at 2 am and be just fine. It takes practice and adjustment.

After watching the video this one was very grating. A video about Dickinson's routine, why she likes her, and what her writing itself was like would have been more interesting considering how much she enjoys her.

There's a lovely woman that does similar videos (writing routines) on youtube, Christy Anne Jones, and she is a lot more entertaining with this process than Ruby's video ever was.

EDIT: her touching Emily's plants in that video clip bugs me. Stop touching the plants.

English isn’t my first language, I consider myself a native speaker though as I lived in the uk for 12 years. And reading the snippets of her book… it sounds like she tried too much with certain words, even I see that they don’t fit.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one. I'm home alone but I called out 'don't touch the plants!!!'
I was getting so stressed when she was touching the plants, it's actually so reassuring that I wasn't the only one doing that!

Erimentha Parker Chapter 25 - We are near the end guys, only 20% of the book left to go 💔

Plot -
- Ruby finishes her poster and then goes to check her book of reminders where she find the website link Kimberly gave her a couple days ago
- The website has a photo of Ruby with lipstick on her cheek and she is stating into the camera sternly. The site calls itself the Erimentha Parker fan club - for all those who can't get enough of little Miss Pick-me Parker. It contains facts and a gallery.
- The facts include that her best friend is her geography teacher, she only buys charity shop clothes because she doesn't care about how she looks, she loves experimenting with makeup and that she once tried to push someone in class over
- There is also a photo of her which has been edited to look angry
- Ruby takes screenshots of the page and writes some things down in a notebook where she has been documenting everything Kimberly and the other girls have been doing
- There are a few more photos and Ruby screenshots it all and prints the evidence

Quotes -
- "... And type the hyperlink into google, patiently waiting for internet connection. The grey circles twirls round and round like children around a may pole."
- "Next to this, there is a photograph of me which has quite clearly been photoshopped. My eyebrows are crossed, distorting the rest of my face, as though the picture has been dipped in water and the ink has run. My eyes have been made a smouldering red and they've even added smoke over the top. This picture could be a mirror because I am indeed fuming. How dare Kimberly do this"
- "I click onto the gallery to see three more photographs - in one of them I have my hand stretched towards the ceiling, my eyes fixed on Mr Aldridge"

Her management have a brand partnership with Netflix, so they just try to get everyone with even a remotely decent following to attend events and advertise things, regardless of whether it suits the influencer's brand or not.

If her managers cared about their clients and "talent", they'd carefully select brand deals that complemented them or chase new deals that would. If Ruby or her fellow Sixteenth influencers has any integrity, they'd say, "I have zero interest in this brand and it doesn't really fit me or my channel so I don't think I'm the right person to promote it".

But her managers are money-hungry grifters and Ruby's a greedy shill who will gladly say whatever and lie her a off if it means a bit more money that she doesn't need, so here she is pretending she's SYO excited for the 2nd half of the 4th season of a show she's never watched.

It would also help her massively if she weren't just so lazy.

Just 5 minutes of research, a tiny bit of extra effort in editing or just Googling words she's unsure of would bail her out of so many of these screw-ups. But she'd sooner deal with the ego blow of being corrected in comments than put any kind of effort into her content.

Her never progressing mentally past the age of 12 doesn't help her, either.

She thinks it's highly intelligent to keep using the basic 'Point, Quote, Explain' essay method in everyday conversation - something students are taught as children writing their first essays. bull like "Sparrows were first discovered in 4600BC by William of Aragon. Profassor Humphrey Gorpton wryote that "Sparrows are like wayward spaceships, hurtling towards freedom". And syo we syee that the sparrow is a varry nyoble aviary creetcha that has stood the tasst of toiyme". All it does is make her sound robotic, incredibly dumb and intellectually outmatched by anyone over 13.

Whenever she shares a picture of herself editing a video, I always wonder if she really doesn't separate her audio from her video? It never looks like she does though I'm not familiar with the software she is using. I had to edit a video once in school for an art project and we where told to do that to be able to change the volume for example. I mean it also sounds like she doesn't do that in her videos, but surely after being a YouTuber for so long she would know better?

Also why does she do "resAHrch" about the most random things ever? I mean daffodils? Why? Remindes me of the time in primary school when I had to do a 5 minute poster presentation of seals.

Wow, Erimentha is so precocious she can tell that red eyes and smoke are likely photoshop
She must have very penetrating irisis! GENIUS!

It amuses me far too much that apparently her parents dont stick to the "organizing system" Ruby set up for their fridge. The jam is on the section labeled "juice" and plant milk is scattered all over the shelf.

this could turn into a nice thriller.

and who says "hyperlink"? and why put the "hyperlink" into Google when you could put the f*cking link into the address bar of your browser? that reminds me of some of the girls in school during my apprenticeship. they really put links (address) into Google and searched them and then clicked on the link in Google.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Unsurprising really. They look quite a messy family and their kitchen comes across as grubby on camera. I think Pa & Ma & Junior (Ruby) Bones need to get in there with some elbow grease & scrub or else invest in a cleaner. To me everything looks sticky, covered in crumbs & stained.

I don't think she will ever share why she likes Emily Dickinson. My guess is that Ruby likes that Dickinson was reclusive, but doesn't feel she can admit that to her audience.
