Did Ruby claim at any point that she's good at embroidery though?
I just feel like writing a whole paragraph about what she was doing wrong is ironically very Erimentha parker-esque lol
Fair point 😂 I think what people are finding ridiculous about it is the sheer lack of effort. Like, if I was trying to learn a new skill, I’d watch some tutorials and do some RESARRRCH, particularly if I was going to film myself doing it on yoochoob. But she just dives right in, half-asses it and calls it done.

A reminder that Ruby confidently wore this in a video that had nothing to do with embroidery and did not require this of her. She thought the only problem with her work was the loose threads.

She 100% thinks everything she does is incredible and worth showing off for the compliments she expects to get.

Sorry to derail slightly, but I just made a thread about Folk Bowler, brother of Unjaded Jade, and wanted to tell you all that he makes Ruby look like an accomplished actress. You know how Ruby does the head wobbling Hermione act whenever she reads something? His version is a terrible fake crying where he wobbles his fringe and waves toilet roll around. 😅 I'd love to see them collaborate.

His reaction to an apparently devastating break-up is like me when I realise I forgot to move the clothes from the wash into the dryer the night before. Before I've had coffee.

Roob did better with her Oxford rejection, grades reaction etc. But then again I think she is the kind to get real mad once she gets going. Its easy to turn that rage into a painful looking cry-session 🤣

Can we not post F*lkert on the thread please, he unleashes an absolutely demonic rage in me
He looks and sounds like some scientists tried to grow a Tory manchild in a lab, only one of them accidentally dropped a parsnip from their lunch into the genetic soup and everything went horribly wrong.

Ruby's collar never fails to make me laugh. 😂😂 The frayed edges, the threads hanging down, the way the ribbons don't even follow a straight line. My guinea pig (RIP) could have chewed a neater pattern than that.

I remember someone on the Jade thread comparing their appearance to Wallace and Gromit characters.

Sorry 😬 The spoiler was there for a reason.

You'd have a fit if you watched me embroider 😂 it's okay to do things that you aren't good at, it's called a hobby

Good point and in general I agree but in her particular case my honest opinion is she actually assumes she's skilled in every conceivable sphere in life.

This is what irks me the most. She makes out that she is skilled/knowledgeable in every single field. Cooking, baking, making a coffee, ballet, reading, writing, other languages, history, sewing, embroidery, skin care, starting a company, running a company, mental health, other cultures, public speaking. I could literally go on but all I need to say is that her favourite phrase is 'Did yeew knyoow [insert some trivia that everyone definitely knows]' like she is the smartest person in the room.

I think she does think she’s good at it and shows it off to get praise from her not very smart viewers. And let’s remember she decided to gift her first ever embroidery work (which was obv awful) as a christmas present to her family member. That was peak disgusting.

I don't think that anyone has ever told her that she isn't good at something or that she needs to try harder/ improve at something. She goes around showing off what she has been up to like a child who wants praise and seems to think that she is imminently good at something. I don't know if her parents and teachers indulged her a little bit, not wanting to upset her by telling her something wasn't good or that she needed to try harder. She would be getting a near-constant echo chamber of praise on the internet, making her think that whatever she is doing is great or that she is intelligent.

Only Roobert would decide to embroider a green leaf that looks more like snot on a handkerchief.

When will Oxford masters decisions come out? Late March/early April?
The website says applicants should get a response 8-10 weeks after the application deadline. The deadline for the course she applied to was exactly 10 weeks ago today...

Puzzles me why you'd want some lump (her leaf) on your hanky anyway. Surely you'd want a flat(ish) embellishment. Hardly comfortable to wipe your nose with her effort. Ooo, I've just had a thought. Maybe she's going into production and you'll get a free hanky if you buy one of her planners. I reckon she'd consider this an incentive.

Yeah seems pretty safe to say that she didn't get it. Oxford's academic reputation remains intact.

How do you guys know she applied to Oxford btw?
A video in January where she mentioned applying for masters and I paused my screen at the right time and spotted it:

I do wonder if she applied for any backup unis.
