I have a theory (admittedly I could be wrong) but I believe Ruby Lazy Bones may be keeping quiet about her job because she wants people to perceive it as more than it is. This is probably not a novel or even previously unmentioned thought here. I think if she said she was a teaching assistant or helped out with English this might shine a light away from the genius image she has crafted. I think a full out admission she works to support children's & young people's learning would actually garnish her some respect. I have mentioned before that I worked with many TAs in my capacity as an Allied Health Professional and the vast vast majority were amazing individuals who helped children & young people access education and facilitated their ability to reach their potential. I would scream it from the rooftops if I did that.

Tell me you've never engaged in conversation with someone who works a full-time job without telling me.

These "I never understood why [blank]" ponderances she always comes out with are the kind of mysteries that are easily cleared up by simply asking someone, but that's hard to do when she insists on only socialising with children and fellow workshy Tories.

But to answer your question, Rubert, it's a bit like wondering why someone lets knowing they have to go for a root canal in the afternoon ruin their morning; the dread of an impending Monday morning can sully a perfectly good Sunday.

Not everyone gets weekends off you absolute potato. God she's irritating. She cannot grasp that not everyone likes the same things as her.

Does she also realise that for people who work Mon-Fri, their weekends aren't always their own to frolic through dead grass? They might be the only days someone can go shopping, clean, prepare for the next week of work, study if they're studying while working. Lol who am I kidding, of course Lazy Bones doesn't know those things. She doesn't rub shoulders with the inferior poors.

Tory Granger cannot understand why people feel blue on Sunday where people might need to do a tit load of prep for the week ahead during which they will work upwards of 8 hours a day.

She is also unclear on why people struggle to find time in their limited hours off work for: commute, cleaning, laundry, cooking, socialising, time with partners and/or children or extended family, going to the doctor, getting a hair cut, shopping for necessities, getting various treatments, sorting out recycling, gardening, solving conflicts with neighbours or landlords, vehicle maintenance, fixing stuff around the house, studying for a degree, reading, working out, other hobbies or just doing nothing.

Tory Granger suggests that we plan our time better by using one of her Ponkin Bread Activity planners, so that we can spare time for the joys of Solo Studying™.

She really thinks everyone gets Saturday and Sunday off, doesn't she?! "One of the two days off that people get". 😱😂

When at school I always had that feeling of dread creep in around 5pm on the Sunday, and now that I have worked full time for 10 years, it's still the same. 5pm rolls around and I think of all the emails waiting for me, plus feel guilty about all the chores I hadn't managed to finish during the weekend.

Not to mention she has zero responsibilities overall. I work full time, I’m writing my final thesis on the weekends, then I have to clean the house, do shopping, cook, spend some time with my partner and family, look after my pets and do other errands. Weekends are barely for resting most of the time, more like time away from work to pick up on the private life stuff. She doesn’t get it because she doesn’t clean at all (not even her room), her parents take care of all the shopping and bills, she doesn’t have partner or any friends, not even a full time job. Sundays are the worst when you realise the weekend is gone and you’ve barely managed to rest and still have tit tons to do. But I’d much prefer that than the meaningless boring life Ruby has.

She thinks that saying "I've never understood why people don't like Sundays" makes her sound poetic and whimsical and in touch with the world but she just sounds so childish. I don't mind Sundays, but I do work an 8 hour shift on them, so I'm not about to romanticise them either.

She could just say she personally likes Sundays without implying that people who don't are philistines. It's her habit of making sweeping statements that boil down to "WHY don't OTHER PEOPLE think like ME" that bothers people so much and she and her defensive TikTok followers are either stupid or obtuse if they're not seeing that.

Yeah, the same exact thing has been happening every year - planners never show up or planners fall apart, then customer service ignore all emails and Ruby will comment that it's "VARRY unusual" even though it happens every time.

Her management company use the cheapest suppliers possible and cut as many corners as they can to keep more profits, so the planners are complete trash. Even one of the young kid fans that Ruby befriended did a video saying she had to tape her planners back together after they fell apart.

Nothing new, but it's hilarious that it's being commented on a post where Ruby's acting like these planners will enrich the lives of students.
I find it really strange that the planners do fall apart though. I've had loads of wee cheapy planners over the years from Tesco and TK Maxx, ring binder and non ring binder, and none of them have fallen apart on me. Why are Ruby's planners so faulty?

She’s posted an Instagram video about feeling free whilst “solo studying”

Classic Roobz, an undeclared shot of her planner looking very cheap and a pretentious clip of her “learning” Latin. Which she’s apparently wanted to learn “for half of her life”. Pass the bucket.

Shame she couldn’t have planned to learn it sooner with her Ponkin Planner.

I haven’t bought one, but I suspect the paper quality isn’t great and with daily use, the holes rip around the ring-binding and the pages fall out. She’d probably be better off leaving out some of the useless pages (‘my twirling log!’, ‘books I’ve said I’ve read!’, ‘my traditional job log!’) and using the space to print the main pages on paper that’s a bit thicker.

She's doing a valentines day promotion for buy one get one free for her planners, it just feels so desperate. Who would want to give their loved one a planner for valentines day? Also, her website is so out of date, she's still nineteen and studying Theology at uni, shouldn't she have changed that by now or kept it up to date or have staff who do it for her?

I doubt there's anyone wanting to get a planner who didn't buy one in early January at the very latest 😂 The only people I imagine might want to buy a couple are the ones who bought one of her planners earlier and it already fell apart but they're too stupid to switch to something cheaper and sturdier 😂

She's not even phoning it in with the website. You'd think she'd do the bare minimum seeing as she got sponsored by the platform several times, but no. Ruby Bones, half-assing her way through life since 2000.

She always thinks of everything in the most simplistic terms and her knowledge of how the world works still seems entirely informed by school.

"Schyool is 8-3 Monnday to Froydayy with Saturdyayy and Sonndayy off and 6 week sommer hyolidayys! And the yeeaahhr starts in August/Saptammber! That mosst be how the real wahhrld wahhrks, tyoo!"

There's no working weekends in Ruby's mind. No shift work, no night shifts, no 5-7 day working weeks, no irregular shift patterns, no working multiple jobs. There's no stress, no work dread, no overwhelming workloads or unbearable coworkers or managers, no children or family to take care of, no errands to do, no housework to juggle alongside work. If it hasn't happened to her, she simply can't imagine it, and in her sheltered little bubble, there's precious little that she's actually experienced.

Ruby apparently figured out that no teachers follow her or have any interest in putting trash like this in their students' hands.

Hang on a minute secondary school students are between the ages of 11 to 16 so why is the giveaway only open to students 16+.
