Oversized jumper paired with culotte trousers (or "kyoooo-lots" in Rubyspeak), brown boots and a random oversized scrunchie on her wrist the same colour as her sleeves.

It's just a fashion disaster.

Speaking of Rubyspeak:

Ahh, yes, everyone's accent naturally changes from their normal accent to some improvisational jazz version of human speech filtered through the vocal stylings of fictional children throughout the day. I often ping-pong back and forth between sounding like Queen Elizabeth and Danny Dyer. It just happens, everyone does it.
Ok, you guys. Remember when I said a certain outfit was her worst one to date? I've changed my mind... THIS is the worst outfit she's worn to date, despite me actually liking that jumper (in July?!).

It looks terrible, but I guess at least she didn't wear it out in public or anything.

Oh.

Welp.

She wore this to a day at the beach.

She ditched the Chelsea boots for school shoes and I don't know if it makes it better or worse.

Also RIP that treasured sweater of her mum's. It survived 30 years after her mum wore it the day she met Ruby's dad, and guaranteed it won't survive 48 hours with Ruby considering how she treats all her possessions. But at least she has a new comfort blanket for the 5 minutes a month she's away from mummy and daddy.

She looks like the "before" on all of those glow up montages, except usually people show how they were awkward as teenagers and confident/put together as adults.

Maybe I’m being petty but is it just me that finds it an odd coincidence that Ruby has posted her graduation video the same day as Eve is graduation and posting about it on her insta? 🤭

Did she just put a voiceover over Blakeney walking on stage to hide the fact that Blakeney got a louder cheer than her? 😂

I don’t know why I’m still surprised by this girl

Initial thoughts on new video
  • she actually looks really nice in that maxi dress from the beginning of the video but clearly she’s not over her hermione phase since she’s carrying everything in that film replica bag
  • for once she’s showing the food when it’s actually looking decent instead of the disgusting dirty pilates and utensils just lying there
  • toilet tour? thanks?? did i ask????
  • NOT THE GRANDMA SHAWL
  • i find it funny that she decided to include Blakeney bowing to the vice chancellor and just completely ignored her other friend (whose name I can’t remember even though she probably mentioned it like a minute earlier lol)
  • daddy bones is looking especially hot in that graduation gown, I’ve got to say
  • that speech about adapting to her ”new life” like??? Girl, you’re not moving out, you’re not getting a job, you don’t even have to get one because of your privilege, you’re sitting there in your childhood bedroom, in your family home, “reading” books and pretending to be some highly intelligent and eloquent child, taking breaks to frolick around fields and “cloudbathe“, literally nothing changed, there’s nothing to adapt to
  • for the love of god can she stop making tea pretty much her only personality trait
edit: formatting

Also at the end where she admitted to feeling embarrassed about the fact she was taking a year out to write?? Like yeah you should be, you’re basically regressing to childhood in your childhood bedroom

Omg does she truly think the staff at this random restaurant know about Pumpkin Productivity?
The majority of people don't know about Pumpkin Productivity, Ruby. In fact, probably a lot of your viewers don't know about it lmao these people don't know who tf you are and they sure as hell don't know about your stationery online shop

"The gown and the cap are symbols really - symbols of ADDYUCATION, PRASSTIGE, ACHEIVEMENT."

But since they let you wear them for the ceremony, it kinda proves that they're neither of those things, doesn't it, Rubert?

"As with SYO MANNY THINGS THYOUGH, this final STAP - bowing to the voice charnseller and receiving a certificate...it is not...important? It's the least impwortant pahht of your degree, in fact."

It sure looks like it's the most important thing in the world to you though, Ruby.

"...This is johst waahr your hard wahhrk, anxiety-ridden days and sleep-deprived noites ACCUMULATE."

Well, firstly, you experienced none of that. Secondly, "accumulate" doesn't mean what you think it means. "Verb: gather together or acquire an increasing number or quantity of." Are you saying that the graduation is the point where you're just experiencing all of the stress and anxiety of your entire degree and you're having 57 mental breakdowns all at once?

The irony of Ruby trying to humble-brag about her FARST CLAAHSS English degree being a reflection of her intelligence while she still doesn't know what basic words mean is just priceless.

"AWL OF US CLEARED OUR PLATES. WE HAD STAHHTAHS, MAINS AND DESSAAAHTS."

Zero evidence that Ruby ate anything. Another classic "I ate the BIGGEST meal...off-screen" moment.

"AND YAT here oiy am...Still the same PARRSON. RYOOBEE. TWANTY-TYOO YAHHRS OLD. Someone hyoo loves litrachaa and wroyting..."

Well, definitely the same Ruby. Hasn't learned a thing or grown in any way since the age of 11. Still lies her ass off. Still defines her identity by fake interests and performative affectations.

"ADDYOOKAYSHUN PRAPPAARS YOU FOR GYOWING OUT IN THE WAHHRLD."

Nope. The rest of the universtiy experience was what was supposed to do that. The socialising, the personal growth and development, the extracurriculars, the work experience, the independence of living away from home and getting a taste of self-reliance. You avoided all of those things and also avoided learning anything academically, to boot. It was a waste of 4 years of your life. Good job.

Now you're applying that mentality to writing. You're not doing it because you enjoy it. You're chasing easy success, praise and rewards despite not having any talent or aptitude for writing or even any actual interest in it. You just spent years actively avoiding improving your basic foundation of English skills - you know, the essential building blocks for being a writer. You don't read anything beyond children's fiction about rich, young white girls. You're not prepared to put in the work to grow as a writer. You're just coasting on privilege and lazily trying to shortcut your way to a book deal.

Cut the cord and get a bleeping job already.

I feel like she's embarrassed because she knows how privileged and spoiled it seems to 99% of other graduates who have to get a job, move out etc. Her whole speech reeked of privilege like it doesn't occur to her most of the people she's graduating with have to at least try and get their lives together as they enter the world of work/actual adult life

"All of us cleared all the foods off our plates, and we had starters, mains, and desserts."

It's just such a fake and odd sentence. If you really loved your dinner, maybe you'd say the name of the dish you had? Only someone actively trying to prove they're eating would say something like this.
