They are notes though? Aren't notes meant to be rough? If she took the time to make them neat people would criticise her for poor time management.

Tbf, I'm not sure where you got the "hour" from on the timetable. I found the part of the video you meant and I could write that in 2-3 minutes, and it would help me personally. If I don't plan a work day it is easy for me to spend way too long on one task, and just giving a quick estimation of how long each task should take will make me hurry up if I realise it is taking too long.
Notes are meant to be rough. Which is why it's baffling that Ruby somehow took the time to write an incredible long script for her presentation on a platform designed around bulletpoint lists instead of her writing quick, brief pointers to use as speaking points. And her inability to use proper capitalization, grammar, spelling and punctuation wouldn't be an issue if they were confined to a rough set of notes she make for herself, but she does it everywhere.

You might write that list in 2-3 minutes. Most people might. And taking a quick five minutes to make a short to-do list can be incredibly helpful to a lot of people. But Ruby has shown time and time again that she sets aside massive chunks of her day exclusively to list-making and redundant busywork. And it clearly doesn't help her since she immediately complains that she doesn't have enough time for the actual tasks at hand, and she fucks up the things she needs to do as a result.

That video, and all her others, only serve to teach by example what not to do when studying.

She mismanages her time, misunderstands the assignment (or wilfully misinterprets it as an excuse to talk about herself) and screws up her entire presentation. She reveals that she, as a self-claimed bookworm, doesn't bother reading for enjoyment or her own understanding or interpretation of a text, but reads Sparknotes, spoils the plot by reading detailed synopsis and copies massive amounts of notes before even opening the actual book, then complains that she had trouble keeping track of characters in a book she hasn't even read a single page of yet.

She's an indescribable fuckwit, and has no place advising study tips to anyone.

From the newest video: ”That doesn’t mean it’s not going to be a mindful, restful day though, because I think you can coincide productivity with that kind of happiness.” Here’s a twelve-point term for you, Roobee: intransitive verb. Look it up 😂 Hint: ”coincide” is one of them.

For the sake of the entire publishing industry, I hope she isn’t still considering pursuing a career as an editor. And again, sorry Exeter, but I’m really questioning her grades when her grasp on grammar seems tenuous at best. (Unless she’s going for Shakespeare-level innovation? Come to think of it, she HAS introduced us to a number of words we’ve never heard before, such as ”francious” and ”alamac”. Using ”coincide” with an object is not a huge leap from there.)
Like my previous post, she has the right (sort of lol) idea but the wrong execution. That sentence needs to be reworded to make sense. She's like the kid in school who uses a thousand words to fluff out her essays and such but gets lost in it because they're using words they don't really understand and then the work just comes out as low quality....

also p.s I would not be coming for a non-native English speaker like this!!! So if english is anything other than your native language, do not worry!!!! I just think most native speakers should/would know the correct usage of coincide lol

The house is nice, but definitely not what I imagined for a "cottage". It looks like just a brick house on a street somewhere without even a proper garden.

And she wasn't even bullied. By all accounts, her "bullying" amounted to people just not wanting to be friends with her in school and maybe making passive-aggressive comments to her because she was a judgemental, conceited little buzzkill who actively made her fellow students' days worse by encouraging and reminding teachers to assign homework to everyone. Her "bullying" was so intense that, according to her, she forgot/didn't realise that she'd been "bullied" until years later.

Then she acts like she's a brave survivor - a voice for the downtrodden - and compares her experience to that of concentration camp survivors. It's like her having a dream where she stubbed her toe, then going to a cancer ward to tell a bunch of terminally ill children that she knows exactly how they feel as a result. She's a delusional lunatic.
It's one of the things that frustrates me the most about her 'anti-bullying' stances - anyone who's been actually, genuinely bullied in school is pretty unlikely to be able to relate to her. I don't doubt that she had a hard time making friends, but I can't imagine any actual victim of bullying talking about how grateful they are because it made them into the person they are now.

In the video, she describes bullying as the 'absence of kindness' (while saying that bullying makes you appreciate kindness more) - it says a lot about what she went through imo. Reading Erimenthol Pseudonym just made me even more certain that her version of events at school would be wildly different to what her peers would say about her. Maybe she had a hard time with not being included or not making friends - but it doesn't give her the right to act like a voice of authority on bullying.

She also said that bullying made her into the person she is now because it gave her 'empathy' for people in the same situation. Again, I'm preaching to the choir, but surely it's possible to be empathetic and kind and generous towards people who are bullied without having been through it yourself. Just shows that she doesn't relate to people unless she's actually been through what they're struggling with.

I'll keep this vague, but this video made me so fucking frustrated because my little sibling has been getting beaten up by a couple of their classmates - it's just awful, and school doesn't feel safe for them. I'm sure they would absolutely love for the worst of their experiences to be passive-aggression or being left out. Kids who are getting bullied - really, properly bullied - don't need to be told this absolute bullshit about the positive side or the good ways in which it changes you.

OK I have actually found the house online based on the clip of her standing in the kitchen in this video 😂 Obviously won't post a link or the address, but it's pretty easy to find if you Google "1 bedroom cottage Buckinghamshire", scroll down to about the 6th website on the results page (has an icon kind of like a red circle), it's currently advertised to rent for £1600 per month. You can easily identify the kitchen in the pictures 🙊 (delete if not appropriate)
£1600 per month for a 1 bedroom cottage? Blimey! Is that typical for the area? In my area, £600 is more like it!

I had thread titles on Ruby and Holly a few weeks back! Maybe we can collaborate on a kindness planner, we can include pages for marathon training, meal planning (half a page will do) and ✨casual magic✨
Oh yes please, I'll add it to my to-do list....right after I've changed my outfit for the ninth time #gaaahh

This also reeks of Ruby. Blatant lies. Greediness. Scamming her fans.

I imagine her PR company just said "Get on Insta and make a few posts, maybe do a giveaway, drum up attention!" Then Ruby sat confused for several hours as to what the concept of giving things away was and then was so shocked to learn that she'd have to sent her crappy planners to people without getting any money out of it and just lied and never intended to send anything.
Well we know from her Depop that she sells her wrinkled clothes at RRP price so we know a giveaway for free would not be in her nature :D

Pro-tip for broke ass students like me who cannot afford to spend €100+ on noise-cancelling headphones: if you look up brown noise or white noise videos on Youtube you can use your regular headphones as noise-cancelling headphones. I use brown noise videos to study in the same room as my parents watching TV and you can't hear a thing.
Yeah this is such a shout! I do the same if I have to study round my noisy younger siblings. Why can’t she share useful advice like this instead of just ‘throw money at the problem’? Not everyone has endless money to throw Ruby🥲!

I wish I never found out about Ruby threads. I thought that Ruby lives the way she shows us. But she is more like an imaginary character. She was my motivation and even motivated me to go to one of the best Universities in my country (for free). Because of her I started waking up at 6-7 am, enjoying mornings and nature, planning my day, reading books. I though she is real. And now I’m just disappointed and have realised that she has mental and self-esteem issues. And that’s all mostly a lie. She’s not clever or kind at all and doesn’t even a true bookworm. I’m so upset... Sometimes it would be better without knowing truth. Now can’t watch her videos, it seems too unrealistic... what have you done guyssssss (sorry for my English)
I can imagine it’s disappointing but if you’ve got some good out of it, then that’s great 🙂

Also just to stick up for her a little, it’s not a bad thing that she has mental health issues.

While these threads are fun for gossiping, they are just gossip at the end of the day and you can still like aspects of Ruby while not liking other parts. Eg I think Ruby is disorganised and repetitive with her content, but I also think she does study hard (and gets good grades) and I haven’t seen a reason to think she isn’t kind.

I don't normally accuse people of seeking attention with their behaviour but honestly this does make it look a bit like that's what she's doing. She won't address her issues in a straightforward and mature way and won't actively try to fix them but she will leave people breadcrumbs to keep them worrying about her.
At school I had a friend who went through an eating disorder, she would never engage with the topic if we brought up genuine concern, offered her some support, but she would make a performance of binning her sandwiches every day infront of friends, as if to gain attention but then shut us down when we'd offer her our food or offered her concern. She simply would not discuss it but made sure we saw she wasn't eating (at school at least). Ruby's behaviour online reminds me of that, the playlist, the triggering photos, yet never addressing the concerns.
I really hope she does get help because she's clearly in need of support.

So, I was watching one of her videos from last autumn while I had my lunch (chili and rice, the equivalent of two weeks of Roobee meals I’m sure). It was this one:

Brushing aside the obvious facts that she looks healthier and eats actual food with actual nutritional value, I thought the interesting part in this was the speech she had to give and apparently totally failed at, because she was crying afterwards. So I did a little frame-by-frame sleuthing of her notes, and apparently it was a speech on ”digital learning” that Exeter had asked her to give. I’m not surprised at all that it didn’t go well, because her notes reveal that she went from ”how I got to be a successful influencer” to ”how to curate your own social media platform” to then talking about how difficult it is to adapt to online learning and how it’s important to have a good study space and dress up for lectures. Oh what I wouldn’t give to have seen this trainwreck as it was happening 😂😂😂
She says her social media has become more political?! (In the last screenshot) have I been bonked on the head by a rogue tree branch and missed something? Accepting payment to make a post about the Holocaust isn't political

One thing I have noticed in a few of Ruby’s videos now, is that she will have a breakfast of porridge/cereal and then the next clip will show her having toast for a ‘second breakfast’ or morning snack because she was “still hungry.” I really struggle to believe this.

mid be interested to see if she’s wearing the same outfit, because we know that she mixes around footage from different times/days and I widely suspect this is the case. I could be wrong, obviously, but it all reminds me too much of what this girl did; and many others, I must add! I just vividly remember her because of how performative her content seemed.
You're not wrong. This is exactly what she does and it's been proven many times at this point.

She also knows exactly how blatant it is, and how utterly unbelievable it is, but rather than not do it or be honest, she doubles down on bare-faced lies. So we get blatant lies like, "And, yes, I do change my outfits a lot." Ruby, nobody changes their outfits six times a morning, you lying little swamp goblin.

Guaranteed, any time she's eating a "second breakfast" or "new meal", she's wearing a new outfit, or her nail colour is different, but chipped, or the time on her watch doesn't match the time she claims. It's one of the reasons she combines footage from numerous days into one "day in my life" video: She can have lots of footage of her taking tiny bites of nutritionally-bankrupt "meals" all together to make it seem like she eats far more in a day than she actually does. That and it allows her to show herself accomplishing more in a day than anyone else physically can, because it was actually shot over a month.

She's a compulsive liar, and not a remotely convincing one.

Someone pls take one for the team and inform her about fucking candlesticks vs. tapers, I can’t deal any more.

The tall skinny candle you call a candlestick, Roobee, is a TAPER. Repeat after me: T A P E R. The thing you stick your candle (taper or otherwise) into? That’s a candlestick. You get two guesses as to where the word comes from, and the first one doesn’t count.

"prepare seminar questions" that is so odd to me who prepares questions, they'll probably be answered as the seminar leader is talking then just ask for clarification if you're struggling. Not like it's a job interview or anything, familiarise yourself with the work makes sense but finding questions to ask before you've even studied anything seems strange
