Ah ok. I actually think the lower age here puts people off taking their kids as well because my 7 year old just fafs with a mask & moans about when she can take it off & I'm sure she's not the only one its honestly not worth the grief so I avoid it if I can



Me too... they always sneak things into the bloody trolley I didnt realise it was so much older down with you guys! I do feel bad when you see the wee ones with masks on but I do wonder if they've partly made it so young as a deterrent for taking kids into the shop at all. I don’t think his ears were particularly stuck out? It’s not something I’d choose to do but maybe their motivations were to stop him from being bullied in the future? Poor Rafe though no baby needs plastic surgery/cosmetic procedures. He’s a lovely baby as he is.

To play devils advocate if they WERE bad she might be saving him from a lifetime of bullying which I guess is how she’s justifying it.

Actually, if she’d announced his birth and then said “We’re going to have some family time now and won’t be posting photos or stories for a few weeks while we settle into family life” then I think a lot of people would have respected that and there wouldn’t have been “conspiracy theories”.

I know being a public figure goes hand in hand with having all your choices discussed and criticised, but she's only following doctor's advice here and I don't think people should be tearing her down unless they've got a medical degree. 'I didn't notice his ears in photos' isn't a medical opinion.

As someone who has sticky out ears and got bullied at school for it, I wish I’d had this done as a baby!
However I think this highlights the problem with ‘influencers’ documenting every moment of their children’s lives. Would be much better if we didn’t know about it and it was kept private.

I don’t agree that people would’ve criticised for having some time off with the baby. Most of the comments I’ve seen on here say things like people can’t believe how MUCH she’s showing the baby and “thought she was meant to be on maternity leave”. We’ll never know though because she’ll never take time away and stop showing the baby, because she knows how good it is for engagement and she knows she can’t ride the crest of a wave forever so has to cash in while she can.
