I haven’t accepted the vaccine yet, no idea what my long term plans are but for now it was a no.
i give point zero percent of a duck what anyone thinks about it despite being called a head to my face and having family members say they’ll wave from the car as they’re off to events. Don’t bother 😂

i will never judge anyone for the choice they make when it comes to their own body,
woman decides to end a pregnancy - her choice.
woman decides to put her concerns for fertility above a new vaccine, regardless of what we’re being told about the effects on pregnancy - her choice.
woman decides to hold off putting any type of medication into her body. Especially a new vaccine. - her choice.
anyone who passes judgement - twit.

The NHS are sending out letters to people with no physical health conditions telling them they’re in a “high risk group” and must get jabbed. Despicable lies. I don’t want anything to do with it. I even got a text the other day asking me to go get it on a bus outside a Jack’s 🥴 no f*cking thanks. Tired of blocking the numbers because they create another like some psycho ex.

Somewhere in this thread, or one of the many other vaccine/covid one there was someone going on about vaccines = entry. Tonight I was at Wembley. You are "supposed" to be vaccinated or have NHS antibody proof as per their entry conditions. I have neither and was in the stadium. Nobody cared. No mask, no distancing and clearly that stadium was far more than half full, hardly any empty seats. We'll do it anyway.

I have had 67 text messages, 19 snail mail letters and 5 phone calls regarding the vaccine. I have opted out numerous times. I have returned to sender. I have called the number and said please leave me alone. But the psychological warfare continues. What a waste of their resources, and I thought they have no money!

I have contacted my MP about this harassment. Waiting to see what comes of it (nothing of course)

That’s so weird it must vary on area. My partner had his first jab about 8 or so weeks ago and has received nothing trying to get him to have his second - and he didn’t get any letters or texts about his first one either, he just went on the website and signed up for it. He’s not very proactive so I doubt he will bother with the 2nd unless he gets invited for it. It’s a waste of resources and there definitely needs to be an opt out option!

So my family have said they think I'm stupid and i am irresponsible an if I get it I will make my kids ill or they be without a mother so I feel like I can't win
I could catch it bad and be ill or could die from vaccine or have something bad happen all stressing me out now I have health anxiety so it's a struggle 😟
Try and settle yourself about it and not over stress
Your own instinct will tell you what’s best for you, don’t let anyone else influence your choices
Good luck x

Holy tit 🤯 I was first invited about a month ago, had one letter and two texts in the first week, then nothing since. My boyfriend was invited a little earlier and had an extra letter but that’s it. Insane how it varies so much.

I am clinically vulnerable so have been eligible since January. But it is too much! My husband doesn't even text me that often ;)

Not sure if it’s different in wales, I think he just jumped into a cancelled slot and got told he’d get a letter with his second appointment on …. Then nothing 🤷‍♀️ wouldn’t surprise me if he did get given a date and just forgot though to be honest!

It’s interesting in the UK they tell us the young aren’t at risk of covid but in the US they want to vaccinate them, why vaccinate them if they aren’t a risk 🤔
The US vaccine uptake in adults is worse than the UK. Im guessing they are going for herd immunity by expanding the population base they offer the vaccine to.

I know mates at Wembley tonight said you only needed a LFT for entry. They dont live in England so wouldnt have any way to prove vaccination via the app or whatever is they use.

but if the young aren’t at risk is vaccinating them going to solve anything really? Surely the aim of having immunity is so hospitals aren’t overwhelmed and death rates are low so if it’s not at risk in the young then what difference will it really make on the whole?

I'm not an expert by any means, but I heard an interview recently with someone from a scientific background about immunity. The general point he made, was that immunity acquired via natural infection is better and longer lasting, than that acquired "artificially" by vaccination. He was putting the argument forward that healthy kids are at very low risk from the virus, and are therefore better being infected and getting immunity that way, rather than having the vaccine which could result in side effects. This seems to be backed up by this article.

Ive read many similar studies about this and it backs up that theory too, it’s a very interesting topic I’m really interested in it. I recall also reading a lot about babies inheriting immunity from their mums milk being awesome too because baby gets all the benefits - defo encouraging during the early days of breastfeeding! Really fascinating to read.

Agreed. This brings us back to the original idea about the need to vaccinate the elderly and/or vulnerable, which I completely agree with. However, surely as you go down the age ranges towards younger/healthy people, you will reach a point where it makes less sense for those to be vaccinated, and where the risk/benefit of the vaccine becomes very difficult to justify. Where that exact point is, I don't know. It just doesn't sit right with me, that we are seeking to vaccinate the entire population, when the overwhelming majority of those will not get seriously ill from the virus. Going back to the interview (although I can't provide evidence to back this up), the "expert" did make the point that herd immunity via the vaccine is far less beneficial than if it can be acquired naturally.
