Same! I get sone movement in the morning when I get to work and then it’s quiet enough for the day. As soon as I get into bed at about 9, it’s full on party time! I was able to get videos of my stomach moving last night 🥹

I’m being told the timing of movements will play out when he’s born so looks like I’m having a night owl 🦉 which I’ll take over an early riser haha
This is kind of true, my baby always used to move during Emmerdale now she always seems to be awake during Emmerdale 🤣 I always find myself picking her up and saying ‘your favourites on!’ cos she’s always awake during the soaps 🤣

Bit of a random one but I really recommend this for a fairly cheap treat to yourselves. God knows if it actually does any good but it feels lovely to apply and smells so good, and there's usually an offer on this range at Boots too.

Yesss I got this on offer the other week with the moisturiser too! It's so lovely and smells amazing. I use the baby stuff on my 2 year old cos he has very curly hair and that's also really nice

Started to get some bits for my hospital bag today, starting to get a bit more real ! Did anyone have any of those zip bags with the labels on for sorting stuff out, if so where is best to get them from?

I got them from amazon. It had loads of labelled ones and then some blank ones so you could do your own ones too. They were really useful for Mr R going through the bags to find stuff.

You could also just get large ziplock sandwich bags and write on them with a sharpie. Most stuff will fit in them except maybe your towel and pads/nappies which are fairly self explanatory anyway 😁

Mine never did this annoyingly so can’t say first hand but I’ve heard great things about the Hakka. You stick it on the other boob and collect the milk to freeze without the hassle of pumping. I can’t remember the rules of adding to the same bag but google will tell you.

Hahahaha we kept the stand from our old one so just needed the actual basket! Mine will also just be floating round the house til the baby gets here. Feels weird just having so much stuff and no one using it right now haha

Can someone advise me on Moses basket vs next to me bed thingy? (If you can’t tell I haven’t done much research yet)

Second the haakaa, I use it when I’m pumping from one side and it’s really good!

A next to me will last you longer because they’re bigger so baby should be ok it in til 6m in your room. You can either have it next to your bed with the side down or as a separate crib next to your bed. They’ll probably grow out of a moses basket fairly quickly so you might just want one downstairs for daytime naps when they’re tiny?
We’ve got this one in the living room:
https://www.online4baby.com/p/puggl...-with-musical-lights-and-sounds-graphite-grey it’s quite big so should hopefully last a bit longer than a standard moses basket.
Then we’ve got a snuzpod in the bedroom. He didn’t like it for the first week or so so we were putting the moses basket in there cus it wasn’t such a big space but now he loves the snuzpod too.

I don’t know about everyone else but for myself and what I’ve seen online, most people do the moses downstairs because it’s more aesthetic / space saving in a living room and then a next-to-me next to the bed. I’d say moses is only really if you feel the need though and they’re normally £20 odd on FB Marketplace or can even be free at times which I’d recommend doing because they’re used for such little time. Claire De Lune is probably the most popular
moses basket brand though and they sell at a wide range of budgets

Yeah as others have said moses basket for us is for downstairs naps and next to me for upstairs. Although I'm not actually using my next to me next to the bed it will be in its own space just cos it's what we preferred last time round 😊

Yip, same here. Moses basket will be downstairs and next to me for the bedroom. I was unsure whether to even get a Moses basket this time because we rarely used it last time. I mostly used the swing when downstairs but, it did come in handy when I needed to go pee or do the dishes or something. We have a massive dog so I preferred to put the baby in the Moses basket, that little bit higher up away from the dog. I really wanted the crochet ones but they’re over £200! Ended up with one from Facebook marketplace for a tenner!

Honestly I’ve gone full hog and got the Mamaroo, Baby Bjorn Bouncer and moses… but all from Facebook marketplace. Clearly I just want to make sure he’s always got somewhere to be put 😂

I still really want the baby bjorn bouncer but we have the little swing someone gave us for free so I’m in two minds now if it’s just a waste. Last time we had a little beanbag seat aswell, the idea was to move that about the house but that rarely got used either! What I did find good was those mamas and papas little seats for when they’re about 6 months hold and sitting up. We gave that away to my neighbour, I wonder if she still has it 😂
