I have a cervical ectropion. Basically a little ‘sore’ caused by hormones, sex or examinations like swabs etc. They couldn’t see it last week because there was blood covering it but the blood seems to have cleared now and they think I’ll stop spotting soon. Such a relief!
I have one of those too which has often caused me to spot/bleed even before I was pregnant. The nurse who saw me about it last was really reassuring and told me they're nothing to worry about. I'm glad everything is all ok x

I feel bad for moaning sometimes because it’s like I don’t appreciate the fact we have free healthcare, but when things get missed I do find it annoying. At my first antenatal appointment they did all the bloods, didn’t hear anything so I rang them up for the results and they said “If there’s anything to tell you, we’ll ring. Otherwise there’s nothing flagged”. Get to my 12 week scan yesterday to be told my iron is extremely low and “Didn’t they ring you to tell you? They should have. You should be on strong tablets” No. They didn’t. And I rang THEM to check. It’s just annoying, I’m really on the ball with things like checking up / making calls but I could be the best in the world, if they’re not giving me the info I can’t push. So really I should have known weeks ago, so I could have started the tablets. I haven’t even started them now, as apparently further testing to determine the exact deficiency is needed.. which could have been done weeks ago too.
This is really frustrating! Do you have online or paper notes? I always check mine to see any results after a blood test etc because like you I like to be on the ball with it all. I had my 28 week bloods on Friday and got a paper copy of the results in the post this morning so I’ve been sat here googling what everything means so I can chase my midwife myself if anything looks off 😅

They haven’t appeared online! She says they’ve had issues being uploaded. So again my face is just like this 😑

That’s so annoying! Do you have a number for your midwife to ring and chase it more urgently? Or maybe your GP? They should be able to get you in for bloods asap if further testing is needed

I’m 26+5!! I’ve been poking and prodding my belly and I’ve had a glass of water, 2 bars of chocolate 😬 I don’t want to keep eating to try and get her to move lol. I’m pretty sure I felt her move this morning but nothing since I’ve got home! I usually feel her move at bedtime too. I don’t know if I’m just being paranoid or not
Have you tried jumping about a bit?
I find if I’m busy I just don’t notice so much because of all the other stimulation. It’s when I sit or lay in the quiet I really feel it. Any chance of a quite 10 min lie down?
Like others say, call triage if you’re worried but they might say it’s too early to have a pattern and that could leave you more stressed.

This drives me up the wall and my God, they do this with things for my little one too. The mama bear instinct goes into overdrive!

It’s good you’re on board with advocating for yourself, to be used to pushing and keeping on top of things. There’s also so much out there in terms of post partum and maternity services, things that pass people by because it can be a bit of a ‘don’t ask, don’t get’ situation. Never let them make you feel like you can’t ask 💪🏽

Just curious how are people accessing their hospital notes? I only have access to my GP records...
I got a folder at booking they hand wrote onto, I have to take to all appointments but don’t get blood results etc and they’re not on the NHS app which only seems to show doctor related stuff.

I’ve never heard of it before! Glad yours isn’t causing you any issues! Yeah the midwife and doctor were very reassuring when describing it saying it has nothing to do it the baby. Glad to know the cause and that there was no more blood in there.

My notes are all on the badger app but they don’t publish anything for me to see so there’s no point in having it 😂

V interesting re notes, thanks for answering. Just fed up of waiting for someone to tell me what my results are or having to call up to chase them. It's so inefficient.

my hospital is utterly useless. I have to chase them for everything, they send me three conflicting dates for every single appointment, and they make me come back and repeat tests over and over.

I am two weeks out from my c section and they still can’t agree on what date it should be.

I have a file that I have to bring to every appointment. With my first my notes were printed and added to the file every time, this time round they haven't been. There isn't an app for NHS Scotland so I can't find out anything. It's really annoying. Like I was prescribed aspirin at the outset but was never told to collect the prescription. When I found out about it I wasn't told that I needed to take it for the entirety of my pregnancy so took it for a month and then had a month off before taking it again. To be fair my midwife has been absolutely sh*te this time round.

I have BadgerNotes where all appointments/checks/results get uploaded onto. Usually within an hour or so of the appointment. All measurements/scans are on there too!

Saw every single hour last night, I feel horrendous. Struggling to get comfortable at night but my sickness, which I thought had gone, has decided to only show up in the middle of the night 😩

Carrying around this huge stomach. I'm clearly visibly pregnant and trying to conceal it is becoming a joke. Not got midwife for another 3 weeks. By that time I will be having to be hoisted out of bed or something.
