Congratulations I’ve got mine in a couple of weeks. Do they just stay quiet until the end then or do they give commentary as they go through and have checked ? I’ve not read up yet on what to expect !
Mine gave a very small bit of commentary and they type on to each picture they’ve taken so you can work out what it is they’re looking at 😂 I think she was just a quiet lady though, hopefully you get someone chatty! I’m usually someone who likes to know all the details so just kept saying and that all looks okay? To get a bit of confirmation for myself!

Edited to add she went through it all on the report with me at the end too 😊

Mine was very quiet on bits of my 20 week scan. It really made me panic because she went from chatting away and explaining bits to just silence and taking pics but it was all ok she was just concentrating because he was being difficult and hiding the bits she needed.
I found my first growth scan worse, she was trying to get images/clips of the blood flow in the umbilical cord/placenta and was giving a running commentary about how she couldn’t get it and you could feel her getting more frustrated but that was making me panic as I was having the scans because of bleeding so I was worrying something was wrong with the blood flow. Then she kept saying baby was “annoying” for moving ☹ that gave me the rage though and I was happy for him to keep moving in her way 😁

Annoying is a horrible word! When baby wouldn’t play ball today she just said he was being cheeky, but then kept saying how well me/baby are doing at getting into position as well.

I know! They usually call him cheeky and laugh off that he hides/moves but she kept saying “your baby is really annoying” 🙄 like ok?? Well he’s not born yet or aware of what he’s doing so it’s not his fault, maybe you’re just tit at your job love 😁

You should have said ‘funny you should say that you’re quite annoying too’ 😂

I had a really hectic day after my private scan yesterday so didn't get a chance to sit and read over the scan report until today. It says 'high maternal body habitus' on it, I've never heard of that phrase before and she certainly didn't mention anything of the sort or any causes for concern while I was there, but after googling what it means I've been left really worried. Has anyone else had anything like that? Is it worth contacting the midwife team and mentioning it to them?

I had this in my last pregnancy and basically I was overweight and they said they had to put on the report cos the images might not be the most clear. The ultrasound people never said anything to me just my midwife when I asked her what it meant

Did anyone else’s sonographer make a big deal about how they got off the hospital bed?? To get off to the side slowly instead of sitting up etc? And that I need to definitely do that even getting out of bed from now on etc it was news to me I’d never seen anything online and I’m an obsessive googler

Your abdominal walls can separate when you’re pregnant and the way you get out of bed can add to the separation, moving and posturing yourself correctly lessons the risk of separation.

I always flop off like a beached whale and no-one has mentioned anything to me 😂 To be honest I'm just happy as long as I don't fall off the damn bed 🙈 I do think I have some abdominal separation though so should probably be more mindful but I'm too busy worrying I'll embarrass myself.

Well, the morning but at night sickness is back with a vengeance and seems to be making up for lost time. Moan when I'm not sick, moan when I am sick. Can't win 🤣

After a 16 hour active long labour I’m delighted Baby Lava has safely arrived into this world! Bit of a long day and so sore down there but so worth it. He was five days early and weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces ❤ We’re so in love already.

Amazing news, congratulations! X

6 weeks today 💖 time is slowly crawling towards our first scan next week. I can’t wait for it but also dreading it as last time we had a scan was when we discovered my MMC. I keep reminding myself that that was a separate scenario and that could happen to anyone at any scan so I just need to be brave 😫
