When do we need to start monitoring movements and being concerned when they’re reduced? I’m 21 weeks and have been feeling movements from 19 weeks. He was less active last week than he was the week before, and I hardly felt him move yesterday.
I asked my midwife this exact question on Friday, she said for now it’s worth just asking yourself around lunchtime ‘have i felt him this morning’ and dinner time ‘have I felt him since lunch’ etc but to expect some quietness around this stage! I’d call to get the reassurance but I’m sure everything’s ok. I swear I can feel him moving in my ribs already if that’s even possible at 21 weeks but I’ve felt proper flutters there

Does anyone have really bad congestion? The last 3-4 days I’ve woken up with my nose so blocked and full of dried blood. As if breathing isn’t difficult enough, I wake up like I’ve got a full blown cold. Any advice or tips to avoid appreciated.
Yes I do! Last few days, no illness but blocked nose & when I blow there’s blood. I’m guessing it’s the increased blood flow? So weird though!

My dogs haven’t- one is slightly more protective of me on walks but other than that they still try trample all over me 😂 they know when every other woman in the world is pregnant except me it seems.

Meee!! Congestion has been horrendous this pregnancy, I’ve also had terrible nose bleeds almost daily and needed to have my nose cauterised which was so hard cos I still had the congestion 😭😭 no tips unfortunately just wanted you to know you’re not alone!

Urgh it’s rubbish!! I googled and apparently it’s normal but it’s such a pain!

Oh no! Hope you’re ok. I had one sort of nose bleed a week or so ago but overall it’s just been so blocked and I get out of breath so quickly anyway.

I’ve been congested and nose full of blood every morning for a good couple of months now. I’ve turned into a total mouth breather it’s embarrassing 🥲🥲😂

Midwife said I have traces of blood in my urine and has sent sample off to hospital. Has anyone else had this before? Did it all come back ok?

For reduced movement, try some orange juice and laying on your side. I had a 4D scan last week and she said that normally gets them moving (mine was moving but the cord was in the way), it definitely worked and could feel him moving lots after ☺

being sent for another growth scan because measuring too small now
last time was measuring too big
🙃

I'm sure its because I keep seeing different midwives and they seem to measure from different points?!

Fundal height is so innacurate but they have to have something to go by.
That will be the reason though I'd imagine!

Mine came back as a uti 😊that's usually what it is

I’ve just had this too, she said it was old blood & probably nothing to worry about so 🤞🏼 for us both

How can everyone I see get different blood pressure measurings? My MAU always get one above 120 yet at my midwife appointments & GP surgery they’re all between 100-110 🫠

I’m 35 weeks this week and my bump is big FYI

had to get the bloody bus today to work, got the 8am one, which was heaving! Seats taken, everyone stood up even at the front by the driver so I got on, stood up right at the front which wasn’t great, I don’t care about not having a seat obviously I would of preferred to sit down but don’t expect everyone to rise for me. Well a bigger lady got on after me, huffing and puffing cos of the bus, driver told her that she needs to move down past me cos she would be blocking his view. More huffing and puffing with her stuff, I moved to the side cos she was looking to get past me, it was a tight squeeze so she goes ‘make room for a big one’and I snapped and said ‘well I’m pregnant so I can’t move MY stomach’ whilst looking down at hers, she didn’t say a thing but her face changed to 😦 expression and she shuffled past 🫠
I feel like a right witch but HORMONES and if I could take my bump off to let her through then I would of.

came into work, all my stuff had been moved from my desk, my laptop wouldn’t work and then I had to go to the bathroom to cry to release my frustration 😩
I don’t know if I’ll be going into the office for much longer and after the faff of going from 3 days to 2, I might just go on mat leave cos it’s too stressful

Being pregnant doesn't give you the right to large shame someone just because you pissed on your cornflakes when you woke up.
Hormones aren't an excuse.
The world doesn't stop turning just because you're pregnant. You're out of line with that comment and not only offended the lady on the bus but offended many others.

Why didn’t you just move to where she was able to stand instead of embarrassing her unnecessarily like that? 🫣 she probably already felt like the spotlight was on her with the driver saying she was going to be blocking his view, inside I bet the poor woman was absolutely dying yet tried to make light of it whilst she’s trying to squeeze past you 😐

I can’t say much because everyone on public transport annoys the absolute duck out of me.
Everyone says stuff they shouldn’t when stressed and others need to have more awareness of those around them.
I’m a considerate person & would move for anyone / let anyone sit down on public transport if they needed to but most people won’t do the same for others.
And honestly people who are always huffing & puffing yet not opening their eyes to those around them are rude. Had she been more self aware she would’ve seen you’re heavily pregnant & not tried to push past you.
Maybe I’m too protective but any knock to my bump I need anti-d & after a bleed and loss I’d go mental if someone tried to push past me.
Don’t let it spoil your day.

also why are bus drivers letting people on when there’s no space 😑
Because they can have people standing as well as people seated. I don’t see where OP said she moved to allow this woman through, just where she humiliated her and went ‘hehe sorry, hormones.’

she didn't try to push past them.
Pink lemonade said "she was looking to get past" so she moved.
And then said the lady said "Make room for a big one"
Nowhere did she say she pushed past.
Certainly no need for rude comments.

They can’t - not always. It’s unsafe. I’ve been on buses commuting 4x a day for over 10 years in central london where they will literally have people squeezed face against the doors. Some bus drivers allow it, smart ones don’t they just drive past.

Have you heard the abuse a bus driver gets when they try and stop people getting on a bus? They're public sector employees grossly underpaid. The great British public don't wait they expect preferential treatment so its probably not worth his pay packet to argue.

Oh I misread apologies! I read it as she shoved past. Won’t read & reply quickly next time!

They drive past bus stops - it’s happened to me plenty of times. And that’s fine - as it’s safer than letting tons on.

I hope your day got better, it’s the last thing you need on a Monday morning. Hope you can put your feet up when you get home ❤
