When do we need to start monitoring movements and being concerned when they’re reduced? I’m 21 weeks and have been feeling movements from 19 weeks. He was less active last week than he was the week before, and I hardly felt him move yesterday.
I’m 23 weeks and have felt movement since around 19 weeks too. I have started to notice patterns such as baby moving first thing in the morning, after eating etc. Yesterday I noticed I hadn’t felt baby all day and was in bits worrying so I called my maternity unit (at midnight!😂) and they asked me to come in. They found baby’s heartbeat straight away.

If you’re worried please go in, everyone I spoke to was more than happy to have me there and the midwife who saw me couldn’t stress enough how important is was that I come back if I’m worried again, no matter how many times ❤

I’m really sorry if I didn’t make it clear but she said I was the big one, I moved to the side cos she was looking to get past me, it was a tight squeeze so she goes ‘make room for a big one’ as she passed me, I snapped, I wouldn’t of snapped if she hadn’t of called me the big one!

You know I read it like that, I’m sorry everyone has jumped down your throat and jumped to conclusions.

You looked down at HER stomach and large shamed her too.

I've near heard anyone use that phrase to talk about someone other than themselves before

You’ve snapped at her wrote that she’s bigger and you looked at her belly while you said it. Whether you physically large shamed her or not you’ve used large shaming language in your post. You don’t know how people here look or feel and that can be triggering for a lot of people. That’s what’s annoyed people here, pregnancy hormones are not an excuse to be rude.

My first response was to protect my bump. I am sorry, I didn’t mean to upset anyone on this thread.

I think everyone needs to chill out. Starting a pile on over 1 comment is unnecessary.

I’m 39 weeks now and my toddler has been so poorly with a cold all last week and just as he’s improving, I’ve got it really bad! What kind of cruel trick by Mother Nature is that, haha! Anyone given birth whilst full of cold before?

large shaming is also unnecessary.

Supposed to be a supportive group, many of whom have shared concerns over weight.

I haven’t but my friend did (one of those really crappy can’t shift colds & coughs) and she said weirdly it didn’t bother her at all during Labour 😅 The only part she found hard was breathing through her mouth only due to the blocked nose

I have to agree. Everyone has bad days and we all say things that we may feel bad about later it’s human nature. I also understand the annoyance of relying on public transport because I do it myself. All of those people are also being rude to you by seeing you’re heavily pregnant and not offering you a seat it’s just the polite and decent thing to do.

I agree. While there’s no excuse for large shaming, the moment has passed and more than enough people have jumped on the OP for her comment now.

Pregnancy hormones are wild, and I personally always feel like I can come here and share what’s on my mind, it would be a shame if we lost that supportive environment.

I had to check myself for making a witchy comment about feeling like I was on an episode of ‘Teen Mom’ while waiting for my 20 week scan because I was surrounded by VERY young mums. No excuse for being a fool, but I was hangry, tired and had been trying to hold a full bladder while the sonographer was running over an hour late.🤦🏼‍♀️

That’s a bit judgemental lol. How do you know they were teens? I’m 28 and look about 15 lol

Aww man, what have I done now? I was just trying to diffuse the tension 🤦🏼‍♀️🥲
It wasn't though.
It was a dig a young mums. Like they don't already face enough judgement. There's a girl on here who was young and posted for advice. It just defeats the object.
As a previously young mum. It gets my back up how quickly people are to judge because of their age.
I'm 30 and still get judged for having my first child young. I am still judged for looking "young" so I don't think it defused any tension. Age doesn't come into being a parent. I've seen amazing mums at 16 and tit mums at 36.

Today I got emotional with my hubby because I couldn’t get a seat in a cafe for a hot chocolate. Pregnancy is funnnn! 😂😂

ETA: I have my glucose testing next week - can we drink water, or is it a total fast?
