Feel totally fed up! Had my appointment at the breast clinic for the patch of skin where the pores look larger. First consultant said didn’t look like anything sinister… no other symptoms ect. Likely a pregnancy related matter. Went for ultrasound…. Lady doing it said she can see thickened skin and really unusually she could see my pores on the ultrasound…but she doesn’t often see pregnant ladies. she said they would be looking for inflammatory breast cancer but my other symptoms and the fact it’s got no worse doesn’t point to it…. Thankfully it’s got alittle better over time.
Back to consultant he said I have two options to leave it and see what it does or take biopsy today. I opted for biopsy, as I just want to know. After biopsy he said he would be expecting it to come back all clear and just this symptom alone isn’t a sign of cancer. That he suggested biopsy just to rule anything sinister out so I can forget about it all. I feel totally totally confussed…. Logically surely it’s a good thing the biopsy was optional today, and that he can see no other signs…but the sonographer comments threw me off! Feel like I’m living in waiting for bad news all the time and for everything to come crashing down.

I would tend to go with what the consultants said.
And as you said yourself, the sonographer said she didn't see many pregnant women.
There's so many breast changes during pregnancy so it is hard to compare them to a normal breast.
If they were worried with what they saw, they would have done a biopsy and not let you choose

That’s true I didn’t think of it like that! He definitely has wasn’t insistent it was done today… he literally presented it as leave it until after pregnancy/breast feeding or do it today to rule out/reassurance. The sonographer did say it would be getting worse very quickly if sinister and tbh it’s defo looking better then it did.

@WeepingCassandra 29 weeks now. It started about 20 weeks… I noticed my bra had dug right into the area it’s in and was really really indented and sore… so have hoped it sowmthing to do with that!

Not quite the same but in my last pregnancy I noticed a mole in my armpit changed shape and colour and so I jetted over to the doctor to get it checked out. It was all clear, and he said it is REALLY common to have skin changes during pregnancy which are nothing sinister at all. Always best t get checked and I hope yours is nothing x

I have been defeated by a sneeze today. Usually, I get the round ligament pain low down but I sneezed and feel like I’ve pulled a muscle just under my ribs. I’m only 21 weeks and feel like I’m falling apart! My knee is also buggered and I feel like I’m already waddling!!!

Any words of wisdom for being induced?

It’s baby number 3 but I’ve never been induced before! Induction is tomorrow 👶🏼🤍

Thank you!! I’ll be 41 weeks tomorrow x
It shouldn't take too long then. Hopefully!
I've had 3 inductions.
My first was at 40+13 and I only needed the pessary.
My second was 40+5 and she was born the next day
And my third was at 40+4 and she was born the next day 😊 I'd also had 4 failed sweeps with this one too so wasn't very favourable 😊

They normally start with a 24 hour pessary and it all depends how it goes with that 😊

Good luck!

I’m fairly certain this baby is going to try and crawl out my mouth rather than go the normal route 😭 it’s sat so high I can barely breathe!
