Well I had my 12 week scan yesterday I was very nervous but it went great! Baby was moving around and even did a headstand at one point, they were also stubborn and wouldn’t keep still for a good image 😂 I’m measuring a couple of days behind at 11+4 but I don’t think this is anything to worry about really! Did anyone else have this? My images aren’t great I have a couple of ok ones but I apparently have a retroverted uterus so once the uterus moves up I will get a clearer image.

I also had the screening test so waiting for the results for that! It all feels so overwhelming when it’s your first child!

I think the dating scans aren’t quite science to be honest… I went in at 12 weeks but dated at 13 weeks, then at my 20 week scan dated at 19+1… waiting for my scan on Tuesday to see how she’s doing.

So it’s quite common for your dates to move around (although your due date from your dating scan won’t change now and it will be the date your maternity leave/pay is set around. )

Had my first growth scan today. Baby is doing great but I apparently have a lot of fluid - should be between 2cm - 8cm and I have 12cm 🙈 the consultant didn't seem too concerned which is helping with my anxiety but I've had to go back in 3 weeks

OK, OK, I've closed the window XD

Thanks, quite right. I need someone to remind me often that some ideas I have are just plain stupid!
If it makes you feel better, I booked & paid for Slamdunk tickets the weekend before I found out I was pregnant, my due date is a week ish after the festival and I'm currently in two minds of whether to sell them or see how I feel closer to the time! 😂

Currently debating if it's a really dumb idea to buy Paramore tickets for a 23rd April gig... almost exactly one month after my due date... in a city 100 miles away...
I feel your pain. It's a terrible idea so soon but I would absolutely love to see them! Why do things have the worst timing!?

Thanks to all who gave advice about the waiting time for some councilling for my anxiety… spoke to midwife and I now have my first session next Tuesday.

I had 8.9cm at 28 week growth scan but it was back within range at 32 weeks and yesterday so it may not be anything to worry about. Just another chance to see baby 😊

Second attempt at dating scan today. Armed with a full large coke (😋) so hopefully baby plays ball. Wish me luck!
Quoting myself but all fine, measurements gotten and all looks good. 14 weeks tomororw! 🤯

As an aside though, finding it really hard when getting “poor” scan pics… I have a higher BMI (weight a v sensitive issue for me, just over the threshold) so I’m trying to process being pregnant and getting bigger with this, but it’s so hard seeing all the little negatives through the process. My scan picture aren’t massively clear (and I don’t carry a huge amount of weight on my stomach) and I’m finding that really hard. Like, I just want a perfect picture you know? I don’t really know what this moan is, just waffling I guess. It’s hard being a woman. 🙁

Don’t worry - once baby is here you won’t look at these scan photos again for a looooooong time until you pull out their baby box!

Baby isn’t always the most cooperative with the sonographer- we got given ours free of charge because they were so bad 😂 he kept saying “come on, you don’t want mummy to go away without a photo do you?!” (but when I looked at them again. I thought they were okay!)

I am wondering if anyone with a high BMI has been for a private scan and has any advice, did you get a good view, photos etc? Any tips? I’m 22 weeks right now, I was going to book for week 25 or 26…

I believe they recommend from 26 weeks for the 4D scans, as they've put on a bit of weight by then so look more baby like!

People often say that your body will have a 'clear out' before labour so could be the very early stages. My 2 natural labours both started with an upset stomach before my waters broke.

I’m 3 days away from full term. Exhausted and fed up. I really really want things to kick off now soon. I won’t survive going over 😪 not sleeping at all. Sorry for the moan, it’s been a long (although straight forward) 9 months and I just want to meet the little guy

Im 28 weeks pregnant and still have quite an athletic body you wouldn’t think I’m this far gone as I’m a pt and because of my anterior placenta my ultrasounds are blurry! So I wouldn’t worry x

I’m in the blurry ultrasound pic club too !
I have/had a bit of tummy before being pregnant and am just in normal bmi range but nope no perfect scan pics here..

With our last private scan they emailed around 10 pics or so for us to pic our 2 faves that they would print and send to us but they were all rubbish really!

don’t know if it’s the fault of having an anterior placenta or what but frustrating

the 20w nhs scan pic was better at least :)

It's quite normal to be moved back. Did they let you know that tour due date will change?

I've been put back 2 or 3 days with all of mine.

Yes but she said it won’t change again now. By LMP my EDD would have been the 10th May but it’s now the 13th May due to the measurements. It will be interesting to see how I am when I go for my 20 week scan! Although I think I might have to find out the gender sooner because I’m impatient 😂

I made pasta bake in the slow cooker to try and cut down on the amount of time I have to stand in the kitchen and it’s bleeping disgusting, the pasta is so soggy and the sauce is so wet 😭 now I don’t know what to do for tea :(
