That dress is cute but I wish they’d put the actual length. It says midi in the title and description but it’s short on the model.

Yes a lot of plus size stuff is made from awful fabrics. I don’t buy from SheIn because of some dodgy ethical issues, but I see their stuff in our local charity shops all the time because people donate it rather than returning. A lot of it looks nice but then you pick it up and it’s just printed polyester. Yuck. Yours can be bad for this too.
I abhor polyester, the feel of it is gross and it makes me sweat buckets! I feel itchy just looking at or thinking about Shein clothing, plus their dodgy practices make me want to avoid them like the plague!
Thanks to everyone who has recommended swimwear sites, I’m going to have to bite the bullet and order some costumes from them!

I'm not a massive girly girl but I'm wanting to get some summer dresses. I have big thighs and booty!! What kind of dresses would you recommend? I hate shorts as I'm so aware of my legs :( my style is usually quite alternative so brownie points if you have any recommendations for alt stores!
Hell bunny!

Has anyone come across swimwear similar to this style that has chest/boobs support? I usually wear a non wire bra under my usual kit but I've lost my swimming bag 😡 Can tell I don't go swimming much, haha! Off to Centre Parcs in a few weeks so would really like to get something ordered in the next week or so.

Haha! Looks like it’s a no to Amazon then. Has anyone ever ordered from Cider? They do a plus size range and the clothes are a little bit different from my usual style but I actually really like the look of some of them. Was wondering what the quality and sizing are like 🤞🏻
Is it this one? It seems to have quite bad reviews. There are so many crap Chinese sites now I only buy from high street or big online brands I know.

Just wanted to say thank you to the posters who answered my question the other day. I'm on a bit of a Vinted obsession at the moment and hoping to pick up a couple of pairs of cullottes on there 👍

On an aside - which style of shoes would you wear with them? I can't wear open toed shoes to work so no sandals or similar style as the whole foot needs to be covered. I prefer Skechers/FitFlop shoes as they give a bit of extra support to my flat feet but I'm unsure how they'll look with cullottes.
I would wear loafers with culottes if its for work, otherwise trainers.

Have any of you ever bought anything from Pretty Little Thing? I like some of their stuff but have no idea what the quality or sizing is like
I have quite a bit from there.
I think it's the same as a lot of plus size places though, it's hit and miss.
My current jeans are from there and my leggings too and I'd order them again.
Think I have a few tops too

Does anyone own this dress from yours or a similar style from yours? I’ve been after it for a while, but I’m tight and won’t pay full price, I’ve seen it in vinted in a 20 and I’m between an 18-20, but i dint know if it will be too big because yours tends to be over sized. My question is is it smock style and would you size down?

I have a similar style from yours and I am the same as you an 18/20. I got it in an 18 - I think the 20 would have been too big for me due to the smock style.

Where would we recommend buying vest tops from? I want enough length to cover my bum, or securely tuck in, and I want enough coverage up top to allow a bra, so many are just cut wrong for a bra! I know it's basic but we are going on holiday soon and my wardrobe is lacking!

Does anyone know any good plus size podcasts? I really need interesting ones to listen to and I don't care about effing celebrities or people's takes on the news or how to tell if you're being gaslit in a relationship :)
Maintenance Phase is worth checking out.

I don’t know what style Flipflop you ordered but I’ve got these and they are comfortable:

I have some very similar, but with heel straps, I got them 3 years ago in a sale on Debenhams maybe before they closed. They were a bit tight for my wide feet initially but now they are so comfortable and have lasted so long!

I could rant for days over plus size clothes, I've been a size 20 or over for probably about 20 years and it's still crap trying to buy clothes.

I'm 5ft3, carry most of my weight round my middle and have insanely large boobs so it really is a struggle.

Swimming costumes are pertinent as I'm trying in vain to get something decent as my old one from Asda is giving up the ghost. I had on a tankini today which I'd bought in haste as was going on a hen weekend with hot tub but it is not suitable for actual swimming! Paid loads for it as well as it's an Adidas top but with Yours bottoms and top kept rolling up and bottoms down, really uncomfortable. I also got a costume from Yours for the same weekend and the straps cut into my shoulders so it's not fun to wear either. I don't want 'slimming' or 'tummy control'....I want a costume I can swim or do aquafit in and no amount of lycia is going to make my stomach any less noticeable anyway! Asda used to be brilliant, same with Sainsbury's but neither are cutting it now.

I've bought recently from Hell Bunny, got such a nice dress for a wedding and so many of their clothes go up to a 6XL which is around a 26 I think. I don't like buying from Shein but I do because they just have the most incredible range. I got some fab stuff from my last order although as people say, it's questionable quality so about half went back.
M&S do good costumes, I'm a 20 and I get mine from them. They do basic shape ones for about 20 quid. I do open water too and they're good for that as well.

Can any of you ladies recommend where to get a plus size ‘bum bag’ from? Going to Disney World on holiday and fancy a bum bag thing time rather than a backpack.

I bought one from simply be recently, it's got a front zip and is a double bra. I've just worn it camping and it was soooo comfy and supportive, which is amazing considering I have huge norks.

Does anyone recommend Big Bloomers Co. for tights? I've had it with Snag - my last few pairs have got holes in after only one or two wears. Same happened with pairs from Better tights. I've either got pins growing out of my legs that I don't know about or the quality has gone downhill!
I've bought Pretty Polly curve and I find them great but colours are limited if you want something other than black

Hello, back again 😂

I ordered some lovely sandals from Fit Flop. Unfortunately they don't fit my swollen trotters so need to go back.

I really need additional support in shoes due to having bad flat feet. Yours have some looking sandals but look like they have next to no support. Sometimes I use insoles but that's obviously not an option with sandals insoles 😂 Hotter shoes also don't seem to offer the same support and, dare I say it, look a bit old lady like.

Has anyone found stylish sandals that come with similar support to Fit Flop that fit wide feet?

I’ve worn cotton leggings in that kind of weather. It’s not ideal but not too bad! I always cover my legs so perhaps I’m just used to it.
